heya. does granny have an event thread?

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 03:13 AM

Yes, Kat!

I do.
You'll find it on the first page of the Event Forum.
We have had quite a few people in there tonight already!

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 03:21 AM

alrighty then. I'll pop in there some time. got to finish eating my oatmeal first though.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 03:23 AM

Do you eat brown sugar on your oatmeal?

I am afraid that I have never cared for it.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 03:23 AM

I like the brown sugar kind, but I'm eating some with cinnamon and spice.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 03:29 AM

Oh, that sounds good.

I love oatmeal cookies, but I have never cared for oatmeal.
Perhaps it's the texture of it?

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 03:39 AM

it would be better if I had milk to make it with. I had to add water instead.
I prefer cream of wheat myself. its creamier and not so textured.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 03:42 AM

I think Cream of Wheat would be worse.
Rather like eating mush.

I like my cereals to crunch!

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 03:48 AM

I dunno. I like my oatmeal overly creamy. not quite soupy, but still fairly thin.

I only eat cereal for snacks. I grab a handful here and there right from the box!

Connielass 05-20-2012 04:01 AM

Now y'all are making me crave hot mini-wheats.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 04:02 AM

you make 'em hot??

Connielass 05-20-2012 04:11 AM

Occasionally. Heat the milk, chop up the mini-wheats, maybe mix it with some oatmeal or granola, pour it all into the milk, and enjoy!

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 04:26 AM

huh. that's interesting. I have heard vaguely of this, but I've never met anyone that did that.

Connielass 05-20-2012 04:28 AM

Yeah. My dad likes to mash up the wheats, mix it with oatmeal, then pour the milk over it and heat it all together. Doing it that way makes it too mushy for me, so I like to heat the milk separately, and once in a blue moon I'll add fresh fruit to it.

Kirin Rosenbaum 05-20-2012 04:29 AM

I should go stalk the event forum, might be more active.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 04:57 PM

I think there are quite a few more people in the event forum today.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 05:51 PM

too many people in the event forum for me to properly multitask. I'll stick around the regular threads since I have to clean my room today. carpets are getting cleaned tomorrow.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 06:06 PM

We have not cleaned our carpets in a very long time.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 06:11 PM

we're hosting a graduation party so the house and patio has to be cleaned. the garage too since we have a ping pong table in there and no room to set it up.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 06:19 PM

A ping pong table for the party sounds like it will be fun!

My nephew's graduation party had a game console set up in the garage, with a couch out there. The young ones loved it.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 06:31 PM

game consoles are always fun too. in my family, its not the young ones that love playing games though.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 06:34 PM

I must confess that I love to play games also!

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 06:42 PM

my cousin is a gamer. He plays the shooting games. i like older games best though. the ones that came out when I was a kid and their sequels.

GrannyJ 05-20-2012 06:44 PM

I do not like the fast moving games.
My fingers do not move very quickly anymore.

I prefer the ones that require you to solve puzzles.

Kat Dakuu 05-20-2012 06:45 PM

hm, puzzles are good. I don't know of enough good puzzle-y games.

I think my dream last night was based off one of my favorite games.
