Wild turkeys are a bit different, the wild turkeys in our area learned to use the crosswalk. You can actually see them sitting on the corner waiting for the light to turn before they cross.
I do agree that Daylight Savings Time is a concept that has come to the end of its usefulness.
It made some sense when most of the country was farming. Now even the farmers seem to work by the clock, so changing the time twice a year also hurts them. I believe that we are now on standard time. |
oh dear lord, Janus is here!!! lol! hiya!!!
I'm actually not fond of turkey, I like it even less than chicken, but more than beef. |
As for threatening, I for one would not want to be attacked by a tom turkey. Those birds are big. Do not mess with a turkey tom. :)
Anyway. It's not like anybody will be changing the national bird... CERN, as in the European Organization of Nuclear Research, the Large Hadron Collider people. Surely they can spare some particle physicists, and I think we'd need some for the development of time manipulation, right? |
Certainly that would be a better use than trying to create mini blackholes on the Earth's surface. Let's go see if we can "borrow" a scientist or two. ;D
*dons spy gear* so who are we 'borrowing'? hehe....
this reminds me of Eureka! If we had completely control environment and manipulation of time, the world would be fully stable! |
No, I'm afraid that if we could manipulate time, there would be only a few people who would capture and control it, and then profit by it.
The rest of us would not benefit by it at all, I'm sure. |
oh, but if he entire world were filled with controlled environments with all of the dangers and poisons of life eliminated it would be alright!
Actually, if that were to happen the entire human race would atrophy. I'd hate to live in a completely controlled world like that anyways, I like the outside to be a bit unpredictable!
yeah, I'm just having a sci-fi splurge right now. but eliminating all the smog and disease from the atmosphere and making it like impervious to that kinda stuff would be useful.
Hi everyone what's the discussion on today?
@Nanenna, I saw wild turkeys and was hoping you were talking about the whiskey but then I saw plural and figured not. So now I am hungry.
hello Sai, we were talking about really random sci-fi....stuff.
hey there Luin. |
Wild Turkey the whiskey brand... sitting at the corner waiting for the light to turn green? XD That would be a most amusing and awesome sight!
whiskey? huh, how did we end up talking about that?
Good afternoon Kat, how are you today?
Wild turkey and anything could potentially be an amusing sight, unless it involves knives or guns, then I am not so sure. |
We have a lot of wild turkeys around here because of the Natchez Trace. But whiskey means Jack Daniels around here.
TENNESSEE!?!?! I am from TN! My hubby and I live by Jack, but I have since given ups the "sauce" lol. My hubby and I currently live in Cheyenne, WY, but we are both from TN.
It's such a slow day... so relaxing. ^^
I'm from Cali! (Why are we shouting states?) |
Sai said Natchez Trace so I got excited and assumed she was around the TN area lol. I am drinking sweet tea as we speak, missing home...kind of lol.
hello, I miss home too.
I actually live in Northwest Alabama, if you're from Tennessee I bet you can guess where. Big hint four cities in one spot.
Huntsville? I miss home too, a little. I went back while my husband was deployed and was very glad I no longer lived in my small town in West Tenn.
I can't imagine living in a truly small town, I'd probably go insane because I'm so used to living in huge cities with large populations.
yeah, I'm a city girl. I don't enjoy going downtown, but I grew up in Houston.
