Regarding tattoos - just jumping in here - I don't think I would consider getting the permanent kind, but I do a lot of temporary (read henna) tattooing. It's monochrome, but I love playing with the patterns even if there aren't a lot of different colours. And it smells wonderfully fragrant for days afterwards :)

You know, I still don't have a tattoo, but now and then a good idea for a tattoo will pop into my head, I've basically charted out my whole body, lol. Well, okay, I've tried to avoid my legs and arms mostly, some restraint there I think would be helpful.

I'm not sure why I don't have a tattoo yet. I always enjoyed looking at my dad's he had a zillion of them, mostly words in Bulgarian on his hands and arms. Apparently there was not much for a boy to do in rural Bulgaria except give his friends tattoos. I always wondered what the tattoos he made looked like, since he was such a terrible artist.

Henna is fun. =D

I like henna, but I've never gotten one. my best friend likes to share the ones her roommate does on her.

ive had henna, i think that it pails in comparison to tattoos.

Awww.. not everyone in the military has tattoos! And I got my first and second one before I even THOUGHT of joining... actually I was pretty against joining when I got my first two XD Kinda funny how I talked my best friend out of joining.. only to join up a year later. She was a little bit angry at me, and that's the only time we ever almost fought. haha...

I never had henna. I had some really awesome looking fake tats. Ones that were huge and looked really real. Me and my bestie would put them on in places like on our forearms so people would see them. Until guys started asking where we got them and such it was cool, it's just not cool to admit that it's fake... o 3o

lol, I never did temorary tats either. I draw on myself with sharpies all the time though and people ask me about them...

Well, the henna I was able to be a part of had all to do with my east indian friends' weddings, so there was a bit more flash with that. =D

Oooh, that sounds pretty interesting. I'm still not sure exactly what it is that they did. The only henna I've ever seen has been in places like at the beach, where they have a little stand and then do you up like that.

Generally it's all floral and geometric patterns, though for wedding henna it gets really, really intricate. And then there are versions of wedding henna that have glitter and crystals and the whole shebang.. it's nice to do for fun, though.

Oh, I haven't seen that, that's probably fun, though.

For the weddings, the girls get it done on their hands and feet, and the guys, I can't remember if it's their back or chest. They're a bit segregated by gender, so I always hung out with the bride, even if it was my guy friend getting married.

I just gave myself an IV!!! In the ankle. Am I not awesome? Why yes, yes I believe that i am. Woohoo!! Fluids! So good!!!

Well i guess it just goes to show you that I can be a junkie. Haha... yeah right. This is the only time I've ever gotten it. I tried once before but I tried to go in my arma nd it's pretty much impossible to do it with one hand. T3T So that was a total failure and it took me forever to put a needle in my arm... it hurt so much T3T

Why are you giving yourself and IV anyway? I have a hard time just doing my blood sugar check.

Cause I've been sick, and i have a hard time keeping down any water. Sooo dehydrated. AND, i've never given an IV in the ankle so I wanted to practice before I gave one to a patient :P

Wow that's interesting. I was a medic in the Aior Force and so was hubby, but neither of us went into combat.

Hmm... well this will be my last night on mene... so... party it up I guess? XD I get to deploy to afghanistan on friday morning and probably won't have much internet there... if any at all... Nose to the grind stone!
