Slyth stared intently at his feet while he waited for Dannyl, his mind racing about what he had said. After what seemed like a great eternity of staring at his feet while walking, Slyth chanced a glance in Dannyl's direction. His heart sank horribly. He looked so very sad. Slyth couldn't help but stare at him, his own face showing how much he wished he hadn't said what he did.
Then, when Dannyl spoke, while Slyth was still staring at him, Slyth squeaked loudly with surprise and nearly toppled himself over. Obviously, he had not been expecting Dannyl to say anything, no matter how quiet he spoke it. Slyth instantly returned his gaze to the ground, "Ah.. umm.. He said.. You were sent to find me.. then have me gain your trust..." He shifted a bit, now feeling rather uncomfortable walking this close with Dannyl, no matter how sick the man was. "He said you were going to fatten me up so there.. was more.." He shook his head, not exaclty wanting to finnish what he was saying. |
Dannyl couldn't help but allow a tiny smile cross his lips when Slyth squeeked. He was undeniably cute when he did that but in some ways that just made him even sadder since he hated him, didn't trust him, and would likely never want to become close to him like Dannyl dreamed of.
He shook his head sadly at what Slyth said, denying what his brother had said. "The truth of the matter is, they didn't care about you, didn't care about whether you lived or died. If you were going to bring any harm to them for killing your family then you would have done it already. I wasn't considered 'ready' to be sent out just yet but I had had enough. More likely you were captured to be used against me. I have no doubt they would have eaten you if you stayed, which was why I had to yell at you to get you to leave, which I'm so sorry for, by the way. But they would have waited for the most opportune moment to hurt me with it," he said, believing this to be the truth of the matter. "But it doesn't matter now. I'm not going to hurt you, I'll never hurt you. And I won't let them hurt you anymore either," he promised. |
Slyth continued to stare down at his feet, not catching the smile on Dannyls face at all. Though, what Dannyl said.. sounded truer than anything Narick had said to him. Was he wrong? He didn't know right now. He had plenty of time to think it over though.
~ A week or so later, Slyth came stumbling out of the bushes, though, by some sort of miracle, managed to stay upright. Once he was sure he wasn't going to topple over, he looked about for Dannyl. Soon enough, he spotted his friend down by the dimminishing river. "Dannyl!" He exclaimed as he ran over. "I found little baby bun-" Splash. Slyth tripped over his own two feet and went sprawling into the edge of the river. He pushed himself up abruntly to his hands and knees and twisted his completely muddied face towards Dannyl. "Bunnies!" He finnished with a wide grin on his face. "Baby bunnies!" His mistrust of Dannyl had almost completely evaporated, though, occationally he felt some distrust or fear, but that would soon enough go away. For the moment though, one would never think that only a week ago, Slyth was absolutely terrified of the lycan before him. "Bunnies." He said again, as if he had to clarify. |
Dannyl glanced up when he heard Slyth come stumbling out of the bushes. He was still somewhat on edge, not trusting Narick not to follow them even this far south. He no longer felt any pain from the silver that had been injected into him and, while he wasn't as weak as he had been, he knew that he wasn't yet up to his full strength, knew his fighting wasn't as strong as it should be. He didn't like the idea of coming across any more lycans just yet. It was only a week until he was due to change again, he wanted to get as far south as possible before that happened to make sure Slyth was as safe as possible.
He chuckled softly when Slyth stumbled over his own feet - again - and landed face down in the mud. Reaching out he affectionately brushed away the mud with a thumb. "Look at you, you're all dirty now," he said, though he was smiling as he said it, not scolding in any way. Too many dirty thoughts entered his mind at that, how easy it would be to get Slyth to take his clothes off, to wash and clean. But he resisted those urges. He didn't regain Slyth's trust only to lose it by making inappropriate moves. "Are they cute?" he asked, refering to the baby bunnies. He was lucky really that Dannyl refused to eat meat when he was in his human form otherwise they would offer a tastey treat. He didn't know what else he was supposed to say. "It's probably going to get rarer to find such animals as we keep heading south," he said idly. Already it was getting quite hot and the grass beneath their feet was dry and yellowing. |
Slyth looked down at himself as Dannyl mentioned he was dirty. Slyth hadn't even noticed. Though, he didn't much care about being dirty, not at the moment. He had to show Dannyl the little bunnies! So, after pulling himself out of the mud and getting himself back up to his feet, Slyth grabbed Dannyl's hand and started trying to pull him. "Of course their cute!" He exlaimed. "Their little bunnies. Now come. You have to seeeeee them." He said as he let go of Dannyl and started stumbling away through the bushes, backtracking his way to the bunnies.
Though, when Slyth found the place where the bunnies were, the babies were no longer there. Slyth stared at the little hole they had been crawling around, looking inside to see if they had gone back in. But, it appeared the mother bunny took the young away as quickly as possible. Afterall, it smelt Dannyl and its innitial instinct was to pack up and run with the babies, so thats what it did. Slyth searched for a few minutes on his hands and knees before stopping and looking to Dannyl. "Th-their gone.." He said, tears forming in his eyes. |
Dannyl laughed as he was pulled along and stood with him to follow. He could tell before they got there that the bunnies were no longer there, however. He saw the tracks they made as they left for a start but he knew instinctively the way a predator knows when their prey has left. He didn't say this to Slyth though; it was just one more lycan fact that would only end up upsetting him.
"That's alright," he said, reaching down and gathering the muddly Slyth up in his arms, not worrying that it was making him dirty too. "This way they'll be hidden and they won't be preyed upon by animals and they'll remain cute," he said, trying to comfort him. As much as he didn't like Slyth being upset, the adorable face he wore, pucckered slightly fighting back the tears even as they formed in his eyes was intoxicating. He honestly didn't know how much longer he was going to be able to resist not letting his more base instincts take over and molest him. Even now, comforting him, he longed to do more than just hug him. If Slyth kept acting so adorable he would be unable to resist any longer. |
"B-but" Slyth started as Dannyl picked him up from the ground. "She said.. She would let you see them." He explained as the tears fell down his cheeks, streaking through the mud that was slowly caking itself on. "She said she would wait." He spoke quietly as he put his face to Dannyl and cried. He wanted to show him the little bunnies, they were so cute. And the mother bunny had told him she would let him show Dannyl. He didn't understand why she would have lied and run off before he got back. "She lied to me" he added, his words completely muffled by Dannyl's shirt.
|
"Shhh," Dannyl hushed softly as he let his fingers run through Slyth's soft hair, loving the feel of it. A soft, low purr seemed to come from within him when Slyth turned his crying face into his chest and he eveloped the smaller boy in his arms, headless of the mud he was getting on him because of it. He still found it somewhat unusual that Slyth could speak to and understand other animals that Dannyl could not, but it made sense of course. Afterall he could call cows out from his very body, an unusual talent as it were.
Looking around, he spotted a red hawk in the branches above and smiled slightly. Turning Slyth around, though still holding him close so his back was against his chest, hoping the boy wouldn't feel the growing bulge in his pants, he pointed to the hawk and said, "She didn't lie. She was protecting her babies see. That hawk there was probably looking for something to eat and baby bunnies would offer a tasty treat. It's better that they leave and are safe, don't you think, than stay here and get eaten?" He leant down and placed a kiss on the top of his head, holding him close. "Come on now, let's go have a bath and clean up before we continue. Afterall, I don't know how much longer we'll have clean water; I've never been further south than here before," he said, leading Slyth back to the river by the hand. He couldn't resist this. Besides they needed to be cleaned, he kept telling himself that anyway, kept telling himself that it wasn't because he wanted to be the one to clean Slyth, to run his hands over the boy's slight body. He closed his eyes and resisted the urge to moan with those thoughts. |
{BUY ME A WHALECOW D<}
Slyth slowly looked up to the red hawk in the tree's, the tears still slowly streaking down his face. He stared at it for a few moments. Why did it have to come and scare the bunnies away before Dannyl could see them? Slyth sighed lightly, "Stupid bird.." He mumbled under his breath as he got up when Dannyl suggested they go get cleaned up. "I'm sorry I got you all dirty." Slyth said as he stared at the muddy shirt on Dannyl as they walked back towards the river. He hadn't realized he had gotten that much mud on himself when he fell before. "I should be more careful." He commented after another few moments. "I always end up getting dirty." He took hold of his muddy shirt with his free hand and looked at it. "Maybe not this dirty though." He said with a laugh. Once the two got to the river, Slyth splashed his way into the water. It was cold, but not nearly as cold as it would have been up north. Once he was deep enough that he could pretty much swim around in the water, Slyth started struggling to remove his now completely soaked shirt so he could wash it. "I think I should have taken it off first!" Slyth said as he turned to Dannyl, his wet shirt plastered over his head and his arms stuck within. " Help?" {lulz} |

"I was never a slave. Even just now I was more of a prisoner than a slave," he said. He was silent for a time, accepting some more broth. Then decided to just be out with it. If Slyth was going to kill him or leave him again, best he know now rather than later. "I am a warewolf, that is why I was such an attraction at the circus. We met about twenty-five years ago. |
Slyth had only just scooped another spoonfull of the soup when Dannyl told him how they knew eachother. He completly froze in place, letting the spoon fall to the floor of his den. The paralasys only lasted for a few seconds before Slyth shot to his feet and backed away. The fear was overwhelming in his eyes and posture. And, something Dannyl was most likely not expecting happened when Slyth stood. Large, stunningly beautifully white and shinning wings appeared from his back and wrapped around him almost defencively. His look of fear soon turned to anger and his blindingly beautiful wings folded to his back. "How could you do such a thing!?" He yelled, startling more than a few animals that had been near the cave.
|
Dannyl merely lay where he was, a regretful look on his face as Slyth appeared terrified, even though it was clear that Dannyl could do nothing in his current state, not until he regained some strength. His eyes widened slightly though when the wings suddenly appeared. They were beautiful, stunning, breath-taking. And sexy, Dannyl couldn't help but thing but with a groan, he looked away. He found he was even more attracted to Slyth now he was older. Instead of being just cute, he was now exotic and handsome. But not what he was supposed to be thinking about just now!
Dannyl's eyes slid back over to Slyth when he shouted at him. "I should not have done it, it was wrong of me," he started. "I don't have an explaination or a reason. Only that... I was strongly attracted to you, I was so far gone with seeing you naked in that creek. And that time of the month it is particularly hard for me to control said urges." |
Slyth sighed as he shook his head, pushing away his anger as he turned away from Dannyl and walked to the far wall of the cave where he sat down with his arms and wings wrapped about himself. "I don't care how attracted to me you were." He said, anger still slipped through into his voice, "I was just a child! and I trusted you... more than i've ever trusted anyone after my family died. Though, at least you and master had taught me not to trust anyone." while speaking, his voice had slowly gained the angry tone once more.
{sorry for trhe lameness o___o} |
Dannyl closed his eyes as he allowed the words to stab into him, embed themselves. Yes, he did do wrong and should not have taken advantage of a trusting child. He had taumented himself continuously over the years because of it, and how stupid he had been.
"It is the biggest regret of my life, such that I always wished that I had never tried to escape from my brother's... 'hospitality'. If you wish to kill me, or even just toss me out, go ahead, I will not stop you. Not that I could. If there is any punishment you would see me bare that could equal it, I will do so without a second chance. I cannot change what happened, or take it back, but I am sorry for it." |
Slyth sighed as his wings slowly seemed to disintigrate into nothing. When the last feather of his wing vanished, a bright light flashed momentarily from Slyth's back before vanishing. He turned to Dannyl slowly, anger still present in his eyes, but not so fierce, and a shocked sadness was present with it. "Dannyl, i've not changed so much as you may think." He said as he stood up slowly, his arms still wrapped about himself. "I could never hurt anyone intentionally, let alone kill him." he looked down and away, knowing full well he may not have hurt Dannyl physically, but he had emotionally he was sure. "And I won't throw you out, your to weak to do anything like surviving on your own at the moment."
He spoke as he slowly made his way back to dannyl and picked up the spoon from the floor. "You.. should eat." He said as he took a spoonfull of soup and offered it out to dannyl. His hand was shaking, causing the soup to spill from the spoon. |
Another mistake. Of course Slyth couldn't kill him, as much as he may wish he could. He gave a one shouldered shrug when Slyth pointed out that he was too weak to be left alone. "It's nothing new, and my own fault."
Glancing across and seeing the shaking in Slyth's hands, he slowly reached out and rested his hand on Slyth's wrist, pressing slightly, lowering it again. "Don't feed me when you are too upset," he said, turning his face away. He wanted Slyth to have some time to himself, to recompose himself, not to be spilling the soup he was trying to feed him with. |
Slyth pulled his hand away in a flash when Dannyl reached out to touch it. His hand grasped the spoon so hard, the handle had bent before he dropped it this time. He stared down at the spoon on the ground for what seemed like an eternity before he quietly put it into the soup bowl and left the den.
From outside the den, Dannyl could likely hear Slyth talking quickly and quietly to something before becoming quiet once more as he walked away into the forest. A few moments later, a young lion padded into the den and sat himself down beside the soupbowl. It carefully picked up the spoon by the end of its handle with his mouth and held the spoonfull of soup out to Dannyl. |
Dannyl closed his eyes and tried to rest, hearing Slyth talking either to himself or to one of the multitudes of animals around the place. Hearing padded footsteps, he opened his eyes to the rather strange image of a lion trying to feed him soup. He shook his head and turned away again. In some ways he was hungry, but he was so used to it the feeling hardly bothered him any more.
"Don't take this the wrong way," he said, feeling a little strange to be talking to a lion but figuring it would understand him, "but I'm just not interested in eating at the moment." He knew that should he ever meet up with Slyth again it would not be a happy meeting but living through it now was simply agonizing and the last thing he wanted to do was eat. Especially mouth to mouth with a lion. Closing his eyes once more, guessing that the lion wouldn't harm him, he allowed himself to sleep once more. In sleep, at least, he could find oblivion if not peace. |
When Dannyl turned away from the soup, The lion took that as indication that he didn't want to eat. So, the lion put the spoon down into the soup and padded out of the den.
~ Slyth sat down just inside the barrier of the forest and stared out into the desert wasteland beyond it. Ussually, as he sat here, he would try to think of ways to expand his barrier to include more land than this forest, but that would weaken it far to much, and give the humans their chance to hunt the animals within. But now, all he could think about was Dannyl and he even, at some points, found himself almsot regretting saving dannyl from that cage he found him in. At some point, slyth wouldn't be able to recall, he had laid himself down and fallen into a troubled sleep. Horrible memories that he wished he could forget played through his mind. Memories he hadn't cared to think about for years. |
Dannyl woke several hours later and at first he was confused as to where he was. Slowly he remembered: Slyth. And how he reacted to finding out who he was. Moving his hands backwards under his armpits, he pushed himself upright and forced himself to stand on weak, wobbly legs. For a moment, the world spun around him and he heard a roaring in his ears. After a moment or two it passed and he stumbled out of the cave, hand braced against the wall. Looking out he was astounded by the greenery that assulted his eyes. It was beautiful.
Too beautiful, he thought sadly, for a monster like him. He had to leave. He was only upsetting Slyth and this way, if he left of his own will, then Slyth would not have done anything wrong or upsetting for him. First he had to find his way out. He was proud when he made several steps without the bracing of the cave wall. Indeed he managed to get all the way to the barrier before his weakness took hold and his legs gave out under him. "Damn it all to hell," he muttered to himself as he struggled to stand once more. |
"You shouldn't leave yet." Came the quiet voice of Slyth from only a few feet away. He was sitting down, watching Dannyl with his bright blue eyes. They hadn't lost any of their youthfull bright sheen. "You won't be strong enough to survive on your own for a few days yet." He said as he slowly pushed himself up from the ground and made his way over to Dannyl, stopping a few inches away. "Now, you need to rest. You will stay in my den, unless you choose to rest elsewhere... within the forest." He gave a small smile before looking away.
Within a few moments, the same lion that had tried to feed Dannyl earlier padded out from the cover of the tree's. He pulled Dannyl up on to his back, whether dannyl wished to go with him or not, and started heading back. Slyth was at his side, watching to make sure Dannyl didn't fall to the forest floor. |
Dannyl grunted, having gotten to his hands and knees when Slyth spoke. "Regardless, I cant stay here, a monster like me doesn't belong in a place of beauty. I'll only mess it up, corrupt it," he said, his voice bitter. Then the lion from before, or another one, Dannyl had no idea really threw him over his back.
"Hey, stop that!" Dannyl protested and he wriggled around, trying to get off. "If I leave of my own will you aren't throwing me out and wont have to feel guilty about anything. And I can avoid screwing up your life further!" |
Slyth smiled saddly to the man he had once called his friend. "But, Dannyl. I would feel guilty if I let you wander off to die.Back when I first met you, you hadn't corrut the forest you lived in. Your presence won't destroy this one either." He paused for a moment and let out the faintest of sighs, "Just stay for now.. untill you get strong enough to leave, if you still wish to go then, you may." His smile faded as he looked away.
|
Dannyl smirked but eventually gave up and went limp over the lion. "It would take more than a weak body and empty stomach to kill me," but he allowed himself to be carried to the cave once more.
He was silent for a time, then said softly, as though explaining himself, "I love the forest, and the life it brings, so opposite to me. I miss it but the desert was always safer for me. Less people and animals I can harm or kill when I change. And here I'll end up ruining your beautiful sanctuary. That's the last thing I want to do, I've already harmed you enough." Still the way his face dropped a little when he mentioned the possibility of Dannyl leaving when he was better was almost hearting, not that Dannyl would get his hopes up. Slyth had no reason to trust or even like him. He would be glad to be rid of him. |
"I can keep you and the animals safe Dannyl. I'm not a useless child anymore." He spoke with a sigh as he helped the lion put Dannyl onto the bed once they arrived at the cave. He was rather reluctant to help, as that would mean having to touch Dannyl, but after telling himself Dannyl was in no shape to do anything except what he was told, he found the will to help him. When that was done, slyth patted the Lion before heading over to the other side of the cave, where a pot was over a small fire. Inside the pot, was more soup. He filled a bowl of it and took it over to Dannyl. "Now, I'm sure your hungry again by now." He said as he sat down on the floor infront of the bed. "Do you think your capable of eating this on your own?"
