Shadow smerked and looked down a her "you can always tell where I am" he siad but didn't come down and stayed hiden in the shadows so that the kids would not see him

"What are you hiding from?" she asked as Celest and Tyson started to wrestle. He seemed a little distracted, but it was probably nothing, still full of his puppy-like enthusiasm. Umay soon joined in, and they were all yipping and squealing with laughter.

Shadow sighed a little and looked at her. "nothing, just thinking about weather I am the best person to be the alpha of this pack and if I did the right thing with tyson"

"Hmm. Possibly. I dissagreed with it, but, that's just my mother point-of-view." she said. Umay jumped out of the little tussel, yipping, "Tyson and Celest are fighting Mama!" Hazel went over and seperated them. "Why are you two fighting?" she asked them. "He said that Shadow was a bad Alpha!" Celest said. "It's because he tusseled me!"

Shadow decided it was time to stop hiding and come down. He jumped down from his branch and landed without a sound on the ground. No one even knew that he was there till he came up behind tyson and nugged him with his nose. "yes I did tussel with you but I had good reason too" he said softly and looked at Tyson loveingly

Tyson flinched, but then got used to it. Hazel noted that and continued. "Ok now, Tyson, say sorry to Celest and Shadow." "I'm sorry." "Celest, now say your sorry." "For what?!" "Encouraging Tyson to fight." "Oh, sorry Tyson."

Shaodw smiled at Tyson and said softly "and I am sorry." he then looked at Hazel and decided it was about time that everyone knew that he challenged Tyson. "I am sorry for challengeing you but I did that so that you would stay. You remind me so much of how I use to be when I was your age and I didn't want you to go threw what I have."

please let their be something to let this conversation end! She smelled a rabbit. "Hey! You wanna learn how to hunt rabbit?" "Yeah!!!"she led them slowly over and showed them step by step how to do it.

Shadow walked over to a tree and layed down under it in the shadows and watched them. He smiled at them as they learned how to hunt a rabbit.

"Raaargh! I'm king of the forest!" Tyson charged off with the rabbit. "hey! I caught that!" celest and Umay chased after him. "Ahh. Young cubs." Hazel went back over to Shadow.

Shadow cluckled a little as he watched them. He wondered if he could have stayed with his birth pack that he would have done this with his brother and sisters when they were little

"Hmm. Well, it will soon be time they learn to fight." she said, half to herself. "Their growing up."

Shadow nodded "yes it will be and I will teach them if you want"

"You need to bond with Umay and Celest. If you haven't noticed, Tyson is a little scared of you right now." she looked at him with her one sightless eye.

Shadow sighed and stood up "yes I know he is." then walked over to Umay and Celest "hey who wants to learn how to fish?"

They looked at him blankly for a few seconds, and then said, "Yay!!!!!!!" they stopped following Tyson.

Hazel had gone into the woods in search of Tyson. He was still playing with the rabbit, and Hazel said, "Hey, King Of The Forest, your subjects have left you." he turned and was dissapointed. "Am I in trouble again?" he asked.

Shadow smiled at Umay and Celest. "well then follow me" he said and headed over to a stream where there was a lot of fish

"Fishing! Fishing! We're going fishing!"

"No, your not in trouble. Come on, I wanna show you something." Intrigued, Tyson followed. "Where are we going?" "To a place I love." She led him to the heart of the forest, where a huge tree stood. "Wow, how high does it go?" He asked breathlessly. "No one knows."

Shadow smiled at them and stoped when he got to the stream. "okay there are two ways you can fish. One is you can stand on the shore and wait for the fish to come to you or you can jump in there and get them." shadow said with a smile "I like the second one better but that is just me, which one would you two like to learn."

"First! Second!" Umay and Celest said at the same time. they laughed.

"Woah....." Tyson looked at it's big roots. He bounded on one and said, "Everyone could fit under one root! How did it get so big?" soon he was bursting with questions.

Shadow chuckled a little "okay how about if we start with the first." he said and went to the edge of the stream. "you stay very still and keep your mouth near the water." shadow said as he looked into the stream and saw a fish come towards them "and when you see a fish quickly dive in and bit the fish" he siad then quickly poked his head into the water and came out with a fish in his mouth.

"cool!" Celest bounded over, sniffing the fish. "That was awesome! Can I try?"

"One at a time!" Hazel laughed. "Apparently, it grew over many hundreds of years, and no one bothered to cut it down." "Why?" "We don't know."

Shadow smiled "yes you can try but be carefull" he siad with a smile

Celest quickly went to the shore. She was poised on a very precarious ledge. Just as she was getting a fish the ledge plunged into a particullarly deep part of the river. "Celest!" Umay squealed.

They stayed by the large tree for a long time and then they went back to camp.

"stay here Umay" Shadow siad as he jumped into the river. It was very deep but that didn't stop Shadow. He dove under the water and soon found Celest. He took her by the scruff of her necka dn swam to the surface.
