ALex had some how managed to catch the squirrel and was happy with himself so he started to head back

They climbed down from the tree, and Umay asked, "What's wrong Tyson?" "Oh, nothing....." She looked at him and tilted her ears. "You wan Alex to stop howling so you don't have any compitition for Alpha." she said. "What?! How did you know?!" she laughed. "I can see it some how!" she said. Celest looked at her sister happily. "Umay?" "Yeah?" "I think you did a grown-up thing!"

Alex soon saw the others and smiled as he ran towards them. He smiled at Celest and Umay but when he saw Tyson he felt something. "hey who wants to race?" he asked happly

"We do!" They bounded on top of him and pinned him to the ground.

Alex laughed as he tryed to get up but failed

"Race!" they said, getting up. Celest announced the rules. "Ok, we all race to the creek. Whoever gets their first wins!" They all dashed off.

Alex smiled and dashed off after them and after a little while he managed to catch up to them even though he got a late start.

Celest bounded over a log while Tyson adn Umay split up and went around it. soon they had all matched each other's paw steps, in perfect rhythm with each other. Finally they saw the creek. "We win!" they said, dashing into the water.

Alex had stoped running a few feet away from the water when he saw something in the forest. It looked sort of like a human and he growled to the others "stay still, somethings in the forest."

They all ducked down into the water and slowly made their way toward the human-smelling thing.

Alex got down and started to walk on all fours as he made his way to the human thing. When he got close enough and growled a little and jumped and pined the human down. When he looked at the human it was a girl. Righr when alex looked at her and jumped off her and whimpered a little like he was trying to say sorry to her.

Umay poked up her head. "Hey look, its a she-human!" she told the others. They bounded up to her and licked her, hoping she was ok.

The girl smiled when they started to lick her but continued to stare at alex "alex is that you?"she said like this could not be true

Alex looked at her and nodded a little "yes, sara it is me" he siad softly then sara flung his arms around him and started to cry happly

Umay looked at Celest. "Why is that she-human's face leaking?" she asked. "I don't know." They stared at the two.

Sara stoped after a while and looked at Alex "everyone said that you where dead"

Alex shook his head and smiled slightly "they just said that since got carryed off by a wolf" he said then looked at the others "her face wasn't leaking, she was crying." he growled to them

"What's crying?" Umay asked again. Hazel happened to be in the area and saw the group. "Who is this Alex?" she asked tensely.

Alex looked at Hazel and said "she is a good friend and will not harm us"

Sara looked at Alex when he growled to the wolves then backed up "why are you growling like a wolf and why are you around all these wolves?"

Alex smiled at her "These wolves are my new family and I have learnd there language."

Umay padded up to her mother. "What does crying mean?" she asked. "It is what humans do when they are sad or very happy. Now let's go you three." she said, herding the three cubs away from the creek.

Alex then heard something in the distence that only his ears and wolves could hear. It was someone calling for Sara "you better get going, someone is calling foryou. sounds like your father." he said as he stood up

Sara looked at HIm surprised "you sure have changed, your eyes are different, you sound different and you can hear different things now." she said as she stood up. "but your right I better go. But I will come back to see you now that I know your here" she said and ran off.

"Mommy, Alex smelled funny." Umay said. "Oh, that smell? Oh, it's something that boys sometimes smell when they like a female. Shadow smells like it all the time." "I didn't notice!" "your used to it."

Alex looked at Hazel "I do Like her but I could never be with her." he said softly

"Sure you could." she said. "There are three options: One, go to her village and live there which is impossible." She jumped over a log. "Two, she could live with us, but I doubt she wants that. and Three, you could both go somewhere where no one knew you and live a simple life with many children." Umay smiled. "I like the second and third option!" she barked.

Alex smiled a little and followed her "yeah your right I could do that"

Tyson secretly enjoyed choice three, but he kept quiet.

Alex smiled then looked at Tyson "how about another race and this time I finish it."
