Shadows breathing started to slow but didn't stop. He simply driffted off into a deep sleep.

He's going away now. I can feel it. Hazel pressed into him. He'll drift off any second...

Shadow continued to sleep and after a few seconds his breathing started to slow even more till he stoped completely.

(( :cry: so sad....))

Hazel looked up. "Good bye my love. I never will forget your eyes." she felt a breeze fill her fur as the sun came out of the clouds.

((you have no idea how hard it was to make him die. I even thougth about makeing him live but he was old, it isn't like he can live forever.))

Clair wondered into view and was about to ask if she had found Shadow. But when she saw what happend she shut up and looked down.

((So scary.... I'm still sad....))

Tyson had joined her as they had been looking for the two older wolves. Tyson gasped, something had gone wrong. He went over to his mother and licked her ear comfortingly. She pressed into her son, thankful for the support.

Clair walked over and licked Hazels head. "dont worry, everything is oging to be alright." she said softly but wasn't sure if it was going to be okay.

Hazel made herself nod. Tyson immediately took over. "Do you think we should leave his body here?" he asked. "yes, he came here for a reason." Tyson nodded and led the tired wolf out of the cave.

Clair helped direct Hazel back to the camp. She seemed to be in shock or was to sad to think straight.

When they were all back in camp, Tyson ran over to his sisters to break them the news. raven had woken up and padded over to Hazel respectfully. "He..." "I know. We had a talk about it last night." Hazel smiled, happy that Shadow had at least told Raven.

Buster licked Umays head when they heard. He knew that Shadow had basicly been there father and knew that it would hurt them deeply.

Clair stayed by Tyson, she oculd hardly believe that the wolf who acceppted her into this pack was gone.

Christien sighed, "we should howl for him." he said softly

Tyson glanced fearfully at his mother. She suddenly looked horrible. Raven seemed to be taking care of her, so Tyson left and went to Clair. Celeste and Umay had bent their heads in sorrow, for they weren't there when he died. "Alright." Tyson said, wondering if his mother would join.

Clair bured her nose into Tysons fur and stayed close to him.

Buster licked Umays head gently and then christien started the howl. It was very low and sad. It was so sad that it seemed to shake the world and make everything sad.

((rub it in will you?!))

Celeste joined in next, followed by Tyson and Umay. Raven licked Hazel's ear before he began to howl as well. The lick seemed to wake her up because then she let out a loud howl.

((hey, it is death. Death is sad and sorrow filled. Everyone knows that, even animals do.))

Buster soon joined in and then Clair. There calles seemed to echo from everything and evweywhere.

((sadness..... I hate it when you make sense about things that are sad!!!!))

Raven had known him the least, so it was his role to stop first. He knew that Hazel would howl for a long time, but it sill wouldn't get the sadness out.

((this is the only time we have talked aobut sadness.... or at least I think and I have expereience with sadness since my uncle died a while ago))

Christen was next to stop and then clair and buster. They all stayed quiest as they listend to the others howl.

((my cat died!!! I have dealed with sadness.... to a degree. One aunt of mine died but I had no idea who she was.))

Umay stopped then, she was the youngest of the three. She pressed into Buster for support. Cekeste stopped, then Tyson, and finally a few minutes later, Hazel stopped. She then abruptly turned and went into the cave, with Raven on her heels.

Christien licked celests head. Buster licked Umays head and tryed to comfort her. Clair buried her nose into Tyson and stayed close. "do you think Shadow is happy where ever he is?" she asked softly

((yeah I also had to put one of my dogs to sleep))

((oh yeah, my dog Olaf died a few years ago. But we're thinking he came back as our cat.))

Tyson shrugged. "Hazel always said that good and noble wolves go to the land of eternal hunting. Maybe that's where he went."

((lol, my cat is a big fat thing that hardly does anything))

Clair pressed close to Tyson, "then he should be there, I mean he was a good and noble wolf."

((that's one of our cats. We have four.))

All three of the cubs nodded. "I wonder how Hazel will cope?" Umay said after awhile.

Buster licked her head. "I think she will be fine after a while. But now I think she needs some time to grieve."

celeste shrugged. "We've never seen her in a situation like this. I hope she'll be fine."

Raven had been trying to get Hazel to eat a few things, but she just fell asleep. He licked her ear once and went outside to join the other wolves. "She's asleep now at least." he announced.

Christien nodded, "yeah I think she will be fine." he said then smiled at Raven. "that is good."
