Shay stood there with tears in his eyes. But he then nodded and took a deep breath. He made sure that he wouldnt' cry, he had done enough of that when he had lost his pack. "can I see her?" he asked as he looked at Tyson.

Umay came to the rescue for Tyson then and said, "She's resting right now Shay, I think that she doesn't need visitors right now. I can tell you when you can see her." She went back into the cave, leaving Tyson to do the rest of the explaining.

Shay nodded as tyson explained he snuck away. He felt responsible for Celest being hurt, it was his fault. If he had gotten her to come with him then maybe she would be okay now.

Umay was sitting in the cave, half dozing when she felt Celeste stir. "Celeste!" she jumped up and sniffed her over. "Ugg, what happened?" "You were shot with a firestick!" "Oh yeah." Celeste examined herself. "You did pretty good considering you don't know this stuff." "I was afraid I had hurt more than helped."

Shay sat down on a rock near the stream. He hoped that Celest was okay.

Clair came into the cave and smiled at Celest, "good to see you awake."

Celeste managed a small smile. Then she remembered. "Where is Shay? Is he alright?!" she tried to leap to her paws, but she grimaced in pain and fell down. "Stop that!" Umay said, pushing her down. "I'm sure he's alright, he's out in the clearing, right Clair?"

Clair slowly shook her, "sorry, but he dissappeared after a while. but I thought he would be back by now." she said as hs elooked at them.

Umay let out a soft growl of frustration as Celeste rose shakily to her feet. "We need to find him, he must think that I'm dying!" "Your still hurt, you are staying here! I'll send Tyson to go get him, now you lie down." Celeste was surprised at her sister's outburst, but she lay down obediently. Umay went out to get Tyson.

Clair looked at Celest, "dont worry, we will find him." she said and then shot off outside and began to look for the pup with Tyson.

Tyson remembered that they had been by the big tree, so he ran to look there first. When he didn't find the pup however, he ran to the river, hoping Celeste had shown him that.

Shay heard someone coming and turned to see Tyson. But then he went back to looking up into the sky and wondered if he should just go off on his own.

"Shay?" Tyson padded over. "Shay, you alright? You look lonely."

Shay looked at Tyson, "just thinking." he said as he looked at him.

Tyson sighed. "Look, Celeste woke up earlier and wanted us to find out where you were. She really wants you back at camp." He hoped that the pup would come with him.

Shay looked at Tyson and nodded, then walked over to him.

"Buster and Raven are looking for you." He said absentmindedly. "You shouldn't go off on your own like that, you don't know all of the territory yet."

Shay nodded, "then we better hurry back so that everyone knows I am okay." he said as he looked at Tyson.

Tyson looked at the young pup and nodded, breaking into a swift trot. I wonder if he can catch up. He thought as he put distance between the two.

Shay saw the distance and ran slightly, he soon cought up to tyson and looked at him.

"Very good!" Tyson complimented. "There's camp." he trotted on ahead and called out, "Found him! he was by the River!" Umay poked her head out and nodded happily, then ducked down to tell Celeste.

Shay continued ot run and ran right into the cave. He went straight to Celest and licked her cheek, "sorry to worry you." he said as he panted.

Celeste hid back a wince but smiled. "Shay, you shouldn't go off running like that, you don't know all of the territory and could have gotten lost or hurt." she licked the little pup's head. "Now you should get some rest. I'm sure someone will take you to see the rest of the territory tomorrow."

Shay layed down, "I will wait to see the rest of the territory because I want you to show it to me." he said as he looked at her.

Celeste and Umay gave each other a sad look. "Shay, you can't stay in here while she gets better. You are a young pup, and need to be outside and running, and not with the sick." Umay said. Celeste nodded. "And I'm not going to be better for some time now. You go have fun with the male wolves, they can be such puppies some times."

Shay sighed, "fine" he said and you could tell that he didn't really want to.
