Lucifer's fingers let out a slight crack as he snapped, the memory sparking. "Oh, yes, of course Mara!" he said, smooth and musical voice filling the air about him. He chuckled with slight embrassment, look of ditzy drunkeness soon appearing on his ivory face. "How long has it been, child?"
|
Mara tilted her head and thought, her memory failing her.
"Too long my lord. Almost since the creation if this world." |
Lucifer sighed, flitting back to the memory. "Ah, yes...." he murmured, a slight smile fitting his lips. "I remember now...I think.....no, that was the party last nine...heh, thatw as fun...." He began to chuckle, lost in the memory of the party thrown the night before. He didn't know what it was for. All he knew it had something to do with the revolution, or something or other.
|
Mara smiled.
"It seems consecutive victories have gone to your head, or memories more accurately, But I suppose it's a good thing. May we continue to bring you good news in the times to come." |
Lucifer chuckled, smiling happily at Mara. His eyes widened and his smile fled slightly as another wave of screaming and choking smoke filled his senses, causing himt og rin widely, madly. People now, hundreds, screaming, fearful, fleeing from the towers that would rise behind him, men in thick black coats adorned with yellow attempting to help those trapped beneath shattered concrete, those who couldn't help themselves. And in a moment, it was all gone, Mara standing before him, and, for a moment, what she actually WAS beneath that fetid flesh shone through, causing him to grin wider, his eyes sharper, clearer, almost like individual flames without the usual fogginess that had graced them for so many centuries.
|
Mara inhaled sharply, she couldn't see or smell it, but she could hear it. Mara lifted her hands to her chest in surprise and clasped them.
"The symphony of sorrow, And so clear..." Mara closed her eyes and listened harder as the sound began to fade. "I can hardly wait to hear the real thing in person." |
"It shouldn't surprise you so much, Mara," Lucifer whispered, closing teh distance between them smoothly, lifting a hand to touch her cheek. "Besides, an even greater wave of pain will fill this world long before the one you just sensed. And it will be so beautiful~" he cut off with a loud chuckle, removing his hand from her face and spinning around with his arms wide, a large and happy grin on his smooth face.
|
Mara raised one eyebrow, her interest piqued.
"Oh? I assume you have an overly complicated plan that will seem to fail, but work at the last minute. As always. You really are a little over-dramatic." Mara smiled and chuckled. "Well, I suppose it's not as fun if everything always goes as planned." (O.o what happened to the creator? I miss blaze...) |
(I dunno....let's go find him and interact! *gets shot because Lucifer's 'interaction' is always quite inappropriate*)
Lucifer chuckled, turniung on Mara with now dazed eyes. "Eh?" he murmured, comepletely lost as to what had happened. He was dizzy and his head was spinning and he could now barely remember when this woman had appeared near him, but there was a fuzzy memory of her introducing herself as Mara. He blinked at her with a confused smile, firey eyes wide and blinking. (Oh, Luci, you delightful, psycopathic ditz you~!) |
Mara, brought her hand to her face and sighed.
"You really need to lay off the booze. Can you even remember what year it is?" |
Lucifer blinked for a moment, bringing his hand to the back of his head. He jerked, grinning wide and snapping his fingers. "1800!" he said cheerfully, ignoring Mara's comment about his alchohol. There was no way he was going to give that up. No way.
|
Mara smiled and began using a cooing voice like a teacher talking to a retarded kid.
"Ok good. Now you mentioned a 'wave of pain'. Does this correlate to a plan of some sort?" |
"Don't talk down to me, Mara," Lucifer hissed, voice low and dark. Even ditzy and drunk, he hated being chided. Always had been, even if it was in play. It annoyed him too much and reminded him of his father. His annoyance was forgotten and he grinned wide, lifting a finger. "Wait and see, wait and see~! 1939's the year to watch for, my dear!"
|
Mara made a mental note of the year.
"Alright then... until we meet again." Mara turned and began walking away, glanging over her shoulder once to wave farewell. |
Lucifer raised his hand and waved back, grin wide. He turned again, eyeing the area of future death with a large grin. Soon. Oh so soon. He began to trot away, the townspoeple coming into focus once more, having been oblivious to his and Mara's presence, but now fully capable of seeing the dangeorus man in their midst, a wide and cruel grin on his face.

(we'll have to see if a convenient time skip is ok with the creator...)
|
(yep.)

'MICHEAL ARCHANGEL' Altairia cursed herself for not moving sooner
'Nice fix you've gotten yourself into..Told you to take the invisiblility spell class but nooo...Oh great now im talking to myself...' She carefully searched the surrondings if only there was some way to create a distraction... She gave a little smile suddenly remembering a old trick that helped her get of class so many years before and molded from fire a clone of herself, identical to almost the single hair. Then taking a deep breath, she took off in a gust of wind. |
(sorry >.< been preoccupied with my legion)
*Blaze spun and cursed at the evil aura. He took off towards the complex "the Irish aren't ones to enjoy people bursting in." He mumbled as he sped down the road, not unnaturally, he had gotten used to moving at human speed. He slid to a stop and looked across the street at a man with a cruel grin. He knew who it was, he had stolen a sword from one of his commanding generals in the last war. And this lord of darkness had even sent wrath to chase Blaze down but he didn't get to far, not that blaze killed him, just wounded him and left him there, no doubt he had healed again and was hot in pursuit. But this wasnt his concern at the moment, he wanted to know what the new evil was. So he turned and began running towards the immigrants complex |
Lucifer turned, grin widening at the sight of a retreating back, one the displaced so much unnatural energy, he giggled. He began to practically skip after it, finding it rather easy to track. He hummed a low tune as he moved, finding himself picking up speed.
|
Gliding cautiously through the air, she spotted Lucifer chase in persuit of another victim.
'I guess it's not so bad when you're too weak to even be bothered with.." She flew over to the top of a skyscraper and landed gently. Altairia summoned a small, winged fire mote and whispered to it in a language only fire beings could speak. Carefully moving so the wind was just right, she released it into the breeze and crouched down low, carefully shielding herself so her aura became less distinct and could be confused for simply a spiritual human. |
*Blaze slid to a halt in front of the apartments. The slums are dirty, smelly and noisy, but he could see it, the rotting spirit, no human, save for those few have been exposed to spirits their entire life, could see these creatures. The image of a rotting spirit was grotesque. They were big about 7feet tall, and full of rotting material, with the face of a human that seems sewn together and stretched out, its teeth were black and too long for its mouth, its body was a moving mass of flesh, bones, and disease, random blades and weapons poked out of its skin and its limbs formed whenever it needed them, bones snapping and popping as it moved. These were monsters that had been created by Lucifer by taking the creatures of legend, particularly, a troll for this type of creature. these creatures spawn in a place where many souls are in pain.
|
Lucifer continued to skip and hum, passing excited women buying cloth and men avidly talking about the inevitable expansion west. He grinned wider as the area about him continued to drop in style and quality, trash littering the streets. He barely even noticed as he neared the source of unnatural energy.
|
*Blaze's brow furrowed as he looked at the monstrosity. He didn't care much for heaven, but he wasn't sure weather or not he should let this thing live either.
|
Mara lightly jumped from the ground to the top of a church steeple, Arousing some suspicious glances from the passerby. Mara unbuckled the guard on her left arm, letting the heavy metal fall onto the roof with a loud clank. Mara lifted her now naked left arm to the air and spoke a few words of power, words of release. A very plain looking acoustic guitar dropped into her open hand. Mara pulled the red scarf away from her mouth with a flourish and began to play and sing a haunting song, the melody enthralling the watching crowd below. Mara smiled inwardly, seeing the blank faces of those listening. Well, she hadn't been called 'siren' in Greek times for nothing.
