Yeah the event is frustrating me.. you collect eggs.. one generates every 60 seconds... seems easy right.. well the first item takes ten so ten minuets to get it... the second takes 25 eggs so 25 minuets... the third takes 100 eggs... so it takes a little under two hours to get... the last item takes 500 eggs... so that is 8 and a half hours to collect the eggs to get it... its insane! No one has gotten the last item! And the event is only running 4 days

Gaia, ugh...I'm not even going to do their event, because I already know I'm quitting Gaia. Just waiting until such time as I decide to take time out to make up a list of all my items there, then set up a thread to have art drawn in exchange for my items.

But I gave up at how superbly inflated stuff are. I just can't bear to give away my items though. I worked hard for those. D: Or they were gifts. I'd feel so bad if I just did whatever. I feel it would be like not giving value to such things. If you know what I mean? Stuff have gotten too expensive for me now. I don't want to draw on Gaia anymore. ._. Plus many have fugly avatars too. |
I have a huge invo there.. and many many expensive things I worked my butt off for... so I am shy of getting rid of them >.< And yes there are some fugly avis there..lol

See, that's just it...I don't want to leave the site empty handed, after working so hard and using real cash for some items. I won't just give my things away...I want art in exchange. See, art is worth more to me than any item will ever be...I love art!
I won't have my Gaian avi's drawn though...what's the point, if I'm not going to play there anymore? I will have OC's drawn or some of my avi's from Mene and Zanny. I don't have enough stuff on Solia yet to bother having my avi there drawn, so it will just be Mene and Zanny avi's. I'm kind of sad though, because when my computer died, I lost a lot of my OC's descriptions. The only one's I've been able to reclaim are my Zanny OC's...I need to check and see if I can find my Mene OC's or if they were deleted, because it was before the forum changes. They might have been deleted. My Gaia OC's I can't get back, because I guess the only way to remove someone from a guild is to ban them, because when I came back to Gaia, I had a bunch of emails saying I had been banned from this guild and that..like four or five guilds, so since I was banned from those guilds, I can't access them to get my OC info back. |

Well, I don't have anything keeping me on Gaia, and they kind of made my decision for me when they decided to make the aquarium shop a cash only shop. That was like a last straw for me. Too much commercialism, not enough interest in keeping their members happy, they don't seem to care whom they hire as mods...I know some awesome mods there, but I have seen some less than desirable mods there as well.
This one mod, when I saw the things she was saying in the Chatterbox, I thought to myself. "My gosh, if this is the kind of people they have representing them, this is definitely not a site I wish to support." It was just horrible. The only reason I was in the Chatterbox in the first place was to pass some time while one of their video's was running in order to obtain an event item. I hate the Chatterbox...but it's a good place to go poll whoring while you wait for those videos to run, lol. |

They're just too effing detailed. xD Other than me. Sometimes I even give up on them thanks to how wtf!Detailed I've made them. I like making art for others. But I feel I really don't measure up to the items being given. And I just give up at times? Then there are also some who say that I shouldn't allow people to pay less than what's my worth. At the end of the day, I just become one very confused little girl. xDDDD; I've left my Gaia items to rot. ._. I don't know what to do there anymore. I want to stay. But I don't know how to anymore... When things are too out of reach. |
Yeah I have kind of given up on gaia for the most part... get this the last item is pink bunny slippers.... its a recolor of the old blue ones pretty much and they are going for like 3 mil already! That is so messed up! Hummm I have an OC.... I love her... but I have not a single piece of art of her. >.< lol I adore art, but can;t afford it right now. >.< Well I am going to try and get a couple of hours of sleep... I may be back if I can't drift off though. ..>.<..

That's another thing I blame Gaia for...releasing too many cash items too quickly, making it nearly impossible to keep up unless you spend a ton of cash, which is something I refuse to do, even if I could afford it. Like I said, too much commercialism. It's just not worth my time or effort to try and keep up with that site.
That's too bad too, because they have probably the best marketing system available. I never used the exchange, only ever used the market. I didn't see the need to use the exchange, but you have to understand, the market was already set up by the time I joined the site, so I didn't even know about the exchange until like a year after I joined Gaia. I had always used the market since I joined the site. I have no idea what prices for art are like on Gaia, as I have yet to purchase any art there. I did have an OC sketch drawn a long time ago, but that was before my computer died on me. I'm going to post my list of items and tell people to let me know what they want in exchange for art from them, ask them to give me some examples of art they have done, in the style they are planning to do for me, and go from there. I mean I'm not going to give up my Coco Kitty for a simple chibi that looks like a kindergartner drew. I am going to be picky when it comes to my more expensive items. |
