Poem = My Love, A Vampire
My Love, A Vampire The time of night has finally come, My love, a vampire I know where he comes from, I know about his past. And yet he doesn't speak to me. Or open his heart to anyone else. One day I saw him walk home, I said hello and he looked at me with blood eyes. My love, a vampire Is he going to bite me like I was nothing? Is he going to kill me like I was an animal? I back away from him as he stepped forward. Do not be afraid, he says. I stop moving. I can't speak to him. My voice is gone. He's walking closer. I can't move my legs. My legs are locked in place. I can't hide from this. My love, a vampire. I won't give in My love. He's in front of me now. I'm gazing into his eyes, Full of darkness. I see fear and hate. I try to call out to him. Words slowly come out. "Stop..." I say. My love, a vampire He smiles and shows his fangs, his daggers. "My love, I'm sorry." His last words to me. Daggers pierce my neck the blood flows out. He holds onto me so I don't fall. Darkness is all I see. My love, a vampire My nightmare has come true. And yet so has my dream. He loved me too. He leaves me here under the street light bleeding to death in a pool of blood. And yet I'm happy to die. Because I died By his hands. My love, a vampire. |
Forever
Forever I hide in the shadows, Awaiting the day, When you will come to find me. To stay beside me. Forever you will run. Into the light so you will not meet me. Am I really that impossible? Do you detest me? I hide in the shadows, So that I will not be hurt. I don't get too close, For I know it will only end in heartbreak. Forever hiding. Forever running. Forever searching. Forever yours. The light burns my skin. The kiss melts my senses. The shadows protect me. Do you still detest me? Forever I will hide, In the shadows I will reside. I will wait for the day, When you will come to say... "I love you. Forever in my heart." But, I know, That it will not be true. For this is only a poem. A fantasy, if you will. And so, I will continue to hide. Forever I hide in the shadows, Awaiting the day, When you will come to find me. To stay beside me. |
