Looking For Criticism
http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...t/IMG-11-1.jpg
The picture kinda came out funny, sort of pixelated, when I used Photobucket to resize it. :< I just barely finished this yesterday before I went to bed. I know I need work on the eyes, I usually lave out either the eyes or the mouth when I draw a picture... Any way, what else can I approve on? Out of One through Ten what would you give it? |
im not good at critique but i do say that is quite good n_n i think it just
needs some color and a background and i'd give it a perfect 10 n_n keep up the good work and do practice okie |
I think that I was told at one time that if you have bangs, your hairline should start a little above halfway of the head. I'm not very sure about this, but your bangs do look a little too high up on the head. And I'm not quite sure what those two little spikes on the top of her head are supposed to be...
Her eyes don't seem like they line up. Her ears, I think, should be a little lower. I think ears are supposed to line up with the eyes. On the arm that's supporting her, her lower arm is too short. It looks curvy, like its about to break. The shoulder attached to the other one is too rounded. The breasts are much to big and much too narrow. And show way too much for that particular type of top. Very nice work on the torso and the legs, though. Keep practicing anatomy before you do anything else. And try to experiment a little with folds, too. |
from one to ten i would give this artwork a seven.
It's not bad i like it. but of course as you mentioned, you might want to work on the eyes. You also might want to work on the porprotions too. Overall the pcitrue looks good. ^ ^ |
Well im gonna start with the basic build of the body. Where is the hand that is supporting her? i just see a scribble. I would suggest heavy study of anatomy, like how the neck connects to the shoulders. The breasts are rather misshapen, they pretty much are floating.
I think the pose would work better if she were resting on her elbow instead of her hand. Right now her body is far too relaxed and rather straight to be leaning pretty much on one arm and held up that high. The way it is now, her hips should be completely on the ground, and her torso should twist rather sharply up, almost to the point of sitting up. It can really help if you try a pose out on yourself before you try to draw it. Just dont do it with other people around, they might think youve lost it a little XD I think if you pulled the bottom of the doll ears down a bit it would help them, right now they could almost be confused for puppy ears, though that would be cute too I would suggest not shying away from the things that you need to work on. Tackle them head on!! Not only will that help you improve faster, but it feels really good! You dont have to get perfect on one thing. Take it in steps, if your not very good with body parts A B and C, work on A for a little while, and then maybe C and then B and then go back to A, heck fill your sketch book with nothing but hands or feet or eyes. I know for me, it feels like a waste of paper, im always scared to draw on a fresh sketch book because i dont feel good enough lol Yes, i find my sketchbooks intimidating >.> |
The breasts are a little awkward and flat.
The angle of her left arm is a bit odd. What you could do is go in front of a mirror and see how your arm would look if you put it that way. Other than that, it's a great concept. The hair should flow a bit more too! |
constructive criticism
I would say the breasts aren't symmetrical but don't worry about it; simple solution, don't really think "I'm drawing her boobs", just go with the flow of the body.

its very cute, all you need is color, lips?, and a lil work on the hands =P hands are hard! >.< i should kno...

Your anatomy is, at the moment, something that you acknowledge you are far more comfortable with. However, the face can change the entire feel of a piece. Facial expression can add whole new layers. As to the anatomy: everyone else here has probably covered just about everything that needs to be said. xD If you'd like, though, I wouldn't mind redlining it tomorrow to give you a little more idea as to what can be changed to make it feel a bit more three-dimensional. : ) |
Sorry for the late reply D:
@TheDesireMistress Awe shucks. Thanks. ^.^ @Dystopia Hmm I didn't know that about the bangs o.O Thanks. They aren't ears actually they're uhhh....doll ears? They're like that thing that looks like they're is an arrow going through your head. D: Oh gawd lol, I'm horrible at explaining things. I think it's called a band, like what cat ears are on. I guess it would still apply though oxo o.o Didn't realize that about the arm... Any ways. Thank you <3 @ChibiMaru-Chan ^.^ Thank you. <3 @Sayhn It's so hard, wasting all that paper, killing trees and what not it's bad karma xD I was thinking about that actually, resting her on her elbow, but I've done this pose other times and I was doing this for an art trade so I really didn't want to do something unfamiliar, but I guess it's not good to repeat your self if you're doing it wrong xD Thank you fur jur criticism. @AngelicCat -Note to self:- -Work on boobies- xD Thank you. x3 @kawaii_sweet_bunny Uhg I know. D: Why were people made with such hard-to-draw hands? D: :< </3 = lips Lolz. Thanks. :D @Croon >_> <_< Ily username. O.O Would you please? :DDD |
