It's funny, cause I half want to try to get gold out of Booty Grab before they change/fix it. I guess that's what everyone's thinking...and why Gaia is so inflated. xD

I have about 30k right now, but I had around seven million. I bought Horns of the Demon for my girlfriend, then a Dark Halo for myself. I've got a Mimpi the Sheep, from a RIG, which is worth maybe 7 million so I'm trying to sell that, with no luck xD

I wish rigs weren't so darned expensive -- most of them aren't worth that much since you can't do all that much with them. EI's, on the other hand, I can see why they are pricey...

It's the items inside that make them worth a lot. A single RIG usually isn't that much, 40-80k. A bundle is nine so yea, it's gonna be more expensive.

I've never been daring enough to buy a RIG - I never want to lose gold on them. xD

I've bought all mine with real money. I figure if I lose, at least I helped the site with hosting or whatever. ^^

I used to buy Gaia stuff with real money, but I don't now. It's cause I don't like Gaia as much as before. I still like it of course, just not enough to spend real money on it. xD

Me too. I was going to just give up spending money on any virtual, internet-type things, but I kind of wanted to be able to get the CIs... xD
Actually, now that I think about it, the main reason I don't spend money on Gaia(besides giving up on spending money on the internet) is because everything on Gaia has been so expensive lately. ($10 for an EI!! O_O)

I bought the July set for this month, the Bot and Harpy. ^_^ I'm trying to browse the Exchange but I can't figure out how much they'd sell for. It's so confusing for me Dx I'm *thinking* that the set (both items) would go for 2000-2200 gold, so about 1,000 each. I don't know, I'm getting off topic XD

I know! It is pretty expensive, but, can you blame them? Extremely active site means thousands of dollars needed in a short time to pay for hosting and what ever else they need, plus paying for the staff. As much as I wish it wouldn't be so much, they need it~

I hadn't thought of them needing extra because of how many people are online. Huh. I seem to miss the obvious things! :) But I can blame them a little, because you can only equip one pose of an EI or MC at a time. xD

Yes, that is true. I wish we could equip more. My favorite developer (Fleep) has this thread in his signature. In the thread, a user, with quotes and such from admins) detail the server costs and why they need the money.

Oh MAN that's a lot! So how come Mene doesn't seem to need as much? Do they not have as many staff members and users? o.o
I still wish Gaia's EIs weren't quite so much. xD Or at least multi-equip. : D

Inso's the only admin, as far as I know. There are moderators and stuff (dunno if they are part of the paid staff). But Gaia has all the developers, admins, artists, that art part of paid staff. The more visits to the site, the more hosting costs. Plus they have zOMG to pay for, and all the features.

To clarify, I know the Mods/FA's on Gaia are not paid staff, but I don't know if mods are paid here on Mene.

I'm glad to find out that Gaia just needs money to keep the site going. ^_^ And now they're trying to fix all the stuff they can in a couple of weeks. : D

From here, I don't know if you've seen it yet. So they'll be using the zOMG base as a test, and keeping the old one around until they can move over the feature of collecting stuff. Not sure what it will look like, I'm wondering if they'll show screenshots as progress.

I just noticed they've been working on goldsinks too! Before you could change your gender, like you could change your username. Twice for free, then compounding 10k for every change after. Now, they changed it to a potion in Skin Tyte. You can change it as many times as you want but it costs 50k for the potion ^^ And they took away the option of deleting your avatar to change your skin tone/eyes/hair. Now, you HAVE to change it at Skin Tyte or Salon Durem.
