They gave you even more gold in that one than last time. The gaia economy is sooooo messed up.
A lot of people have already left for solia -- in face I read people had been banned for mentioning solia. |

I use to love Gaia...then my main got hacked reported it with my second account and they gave me back ny main but banned my mule for reporting afalse hacking which made no sense at all. I still go on once and a while mostly to dress, my avatar up. i have a bunch of gg and nothing to buy because some items are just crazy expensive. I also refuse to spend actual cash on the items there after i lost items i had paid money to get. Most people i use to talk to on any of . These sites are either gone or are rarely on. I joined Gaia when it was go gaia and wasnt crazy money hungry. Some improvements were good but many were not. I got a message from mene saying i should check this thread out. Now im not on mene because i never new many people on here. Im kinda old now xD

You know...I can afford to buy angel mini's. I always coveted them...and now that their value has plummeted and they have a bunch of recolors the appeal is gone. That was a bad move. A really bad move. They lost their rare, shiny, exclusive appeal.

They have continued to pour out gold generators, which inflated prices.
Then they re-released the the Minis and Sash, but did not release the scarf as much. |
Apparently at a recent panel at a convention, Gaia stated that the gold generators made the marketplace "healthy" (by increasing number of things bought and sold) and they are not considering slowing them down at all. Apparently Gaia doesn't understand basic inflation.

Gaia has become nothing more than a money grubbing tyranny. It's really sad, but oh well. Time to move on from greener pastures.
If you are having trouble deciding to leave or a friend, ask yourself this: "Are the items really worth the abuse and neglect?" That's how I realized I didn't want to be there. anymore, even if I had just gotten a rare hard to get item, it's not worth it. I didn't even have fun dressing up my avi anymore. Ugh. Also due to a staff pm that just sent me over. I realized what their priorities are now. |

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I was unhappy about your phrasing of how you viewed your interactions with Gaia. The worst you can realistically level at them is willful indifference to the opinions/concerns of their userbase, describing anything they have done as 'abuse and neglect' would infer some sort of personal relationship which neither your nor I, nor anyone else has with Gaia. They are a company. They make money. That they do it in a way that irritates & angers a proportion of their customers is in many ways a reflection of life in general. Do a search for any well known brand/company etc with the word complaints in the search and you'll generally get pages and pages of results. Believe me, I'm not saying Gaia's business practices are good. Customer care/service is part of a company. Some do it well. Some do it badly - I'm fairly sure we all know where Gaia falls there. But it is never abuse and never neglect. The use of that term to describe your experience of a community website struck me as insensitive to anyone that has suffered either in a real way. |

Since when? One afternoon there's a cash sale and a gold generator released, and then in the evening they're taken away? Don't think they won't be back in some kind of bundle later, or that the prices of cash shop items won't continue to rise. You know those same people who made threads in the community discussion about saying 'no' to gold generators were the same ones buying up pages of them, right? "I don't have any other choice," they whine, but they're just as much to blame as someone that doesn't use a mule to hide what they do. |
I went recently, and I play those daily random prize chance games. You click, you get something. THEY WERE THROWING ME THOUSANDS OF GOLD They were literally GIVING IT AWAY I did not understand. |
