Gaia's economy has collapsed since they started the "awesome" idea of re-releasing old rares as cash items. Stuff's still expensive, BUT...an item that cost 13 million 18 months ago is "only" 5 million now...

Now adays a Dontation item is worth either 40k or 30k... now it all rides out on how it looks, then a month later you can buy the item for only 30 to 19k

Well that's shitty! You have to collect the items in order on Gaia. I got 10 eggs but didn't go and trade them for the item because I didn't want a crappy carrot >_> Next egg I get falls out of the basket and breaks because there's no room for it...don't like that system!

Are there only three Easter event items for Gaia? TekTek only has "oversized carrot", "chicky scarf" and "bunny scarf".... none of which suit my fancy.

I don't think it's necessarily a horrible idea that Gaia, at least, has a more "difficult" item collection method. It might help these items be worth something in the future.

Too bad what they have so far isn't something I'm interested in. The item quality is kinda meh to me even if I thought the design was nice. :/

There's 4, but the fourth requires 500 eggs to be collected. The pissy-babies on Gaia are whining because they haven't managed to collect all 4 items yet, despite the event only having been running for 6 hours or so :roll:

The scarfs aren't as well executed as I would have liked, but I like the carrot simply because it's much like the large carrot they released years back but turned out to be a housing-only item. At least now we finally have one that's equipable.

No idea about what the 500 egg item will be, but there are also three more items that will be released for Easter via zOMG.

I still remember with fondness the year you could catch eggs in towns, and they hid from you behind trees and ran away. That was extremely amusing. Particularly because of how big they were. Still got refugees from that event lurking in various inventories.

I'm glad we don't leave past event currencies lying around like that xD

I don't play much zOMG.
Is it difficult to get event items through that? (From the post, it sounds like MMO = zOMG?)

The scarfs are a nice idea, just a bit plain, but they still look nice :)

I don't know how much I'll be able to use the scarves, but it's interesting to go egg hunting anyway. I'm halfway to the bunny scarf.

Now Gaia seems to be down again. They sure have a lot of database trouble lately.

@Jeannesha: I'm not sure actually. You have to go through the tutorial before you can do anything else. I kind of regret not bothering to read anything since I'm rather lousy at fighting monsters on zOMG, but it seems fairly simple enough. I've yet to get any event exclusive zOMG items so far.

EDIT: I just got an egg. It doesn't appear to be down for me. The only downtime I noticed today was that they shut off the eggs briefly.

@Tre: I dunno, I just don't like the way the bunny/chicky look, but that's just my personal taste.

I like the event items so far. Love love LOVE the carrot. ^^ I really hope the last item is worth 500 eggs. I wanted to get two sets of EIs but I'll be lucky if I get the last item. I really wish they hadn't made it so much. 200 would have been enough.

Well someone (two people actually) finally got the 4th item for Gaia. They're Pink Bunny Slippers, which I don't think would be a bad prize had they cost less than 500 eggs and consequently about 8 hours of work collecting.

they are nice looking :) i wouldn't pay that many eggs/gold for it, but its good for those people who whine the finish the event too early

Tre o.o you like those? I think they're yucky. The face is sweet, but they look like white bunny slippers that have been turned upsidedown and dipped in something gross. The ears look like sex aids xD I don't like them at all.

I got the chicky scarf yesterday, that's really poorly executed, isn't it? The thumbnail looks miles better than the actual item for some reason!

I think the slippers are pretty ugly, but I'm going to get them anyway. I'm a collector like that. XP I like the scarves okay, but I think the colors are kind of yucky. I was never a big fan of the chicky yellow, and the bunny color is wayyy too blue. I know they made them match with the old slippers, but I was never too fond of the slippers' coloration.

blech the pink slippers are bleeech, i was hoping for something simple like the originals -sigh-

I've stopped. The items are crappy so where's my motivation! Finding the eggs is nice. I get a liitle ooh when I spot them. But there was supposed to be Easter stuff on zOMG today and I haven't seen any. No announcement about it so there can't be yet. They'd surely have told us otherwise, as they look to announce pretty much anything.

Jellyly, do you expect them to be punctual? O_O
