No problem, Lejic

Lejic 07-02-2010 06:29 AM

So I'm finally at an office. With my laptop and everything. I'm still working so bringing out my tablet would be really rude BUT I'm here to chat! 8D And play tetris, mwahaha!

Hatake Ayumi 07-02-2010 01:45 PM

SHWEEEET!!!!
..
office for what?
What job you get?

Lejic 07-03-2010 07:29 PM

Heeey Hatake!

Ummm, I'm doing an internship with my Professor. Sooo it's more like a lab I guess, but I don't say that because that sounds like a chemistry lab in my head. 8D;; It's just...a Seismology lab: basically an office with a weird name.
We're working on Earthquake stuff. 83

Hatake Ayumi 07-04-2010 04:11 PM

Sweeet! My parents did that... and I might do that.
xD
Welp, they were scientists, so an actual labby lab.

Is it fun or boring research stuff?

Lejic 07-04-2010 04:40 PM

Well, there's a boring part and then there's a very exciting, fun part. But even the boring parts are OK because we have internet and good company. :P <3
What do your parents do exactly? o.o

BY THE BY. My PC died so now I HAVE to draw on my mac--do you know anybody that can help me calibrate it? D: I mean, I can get to the settings just fine, I just never know if the colors look right (as in, if they will look OK on other people's computers).

Whaaat has Hatake been up to, btw? 8D

Hatake Ayumi 07-04-2010 05:00 PM

My mom is a project manager for R & D for Bristol Myers Squibb (spelling most likely wrong...) and my dad specializes in protein research and stuff, but is starting a company in China.
> ____ <;;
It's boring. Or at lease what presentations I've seen.

... nope...
*never used a mac*

Been lazing about, learning how to drive, and just got sick.
*what an idiotttt*

Lejic 07-04-2010 05:02 PM

Oh wooow. I'm a geek so their jobs sound amazing to me, at least from afar. XD <3 Mmm biology.

And I'm unsure about the colors still BUT I've found the most amazing drawing program that I'm trialing now, and even the full version is kind of cheap. *so happy*

I need to learn how to drive.
How do you get sick in July? D:

I shall put silly doodles here as I get used to the new program, btw; bear with me. XD

Edit:
Silly Sketch #1:

Hatake Ayumi 07-04-2010 05:28 PM

I love biology, but... ugh...

... What program?

I dunno! Ask my fever and stomach!!

CUTE!

Lejic 07-04-2010 05:39 PM

Heheh, biology is fu-- WOAH YOUR AVATAR. XD You're a bird ninja assassin! D: <3 Looks cool!

And um, I hope you get well soon. ;-;

And thanks. 8D This program is awesome!
It's TabletDraw. It's 35 bucks to buy, I might open money commissions to get the money quickly, or maybe I can just pay for all of it myself, we'll see. *nod*

Hatake Ayumi 07-04-2010 06:21 PM

xD
Thanks!

... I feel the need to cool down.... but... kinda cold... but... fever... @ ___ @;;

:drool:
I will try it out.... when... I get skills.
xD;

Lejic 07-05-2010 07:22 AM

Eeew fevers are the worst! D: *gives chicken soup*

And pssh it's not about talent. 8D; It's about practice.

I think I can TRY to work on commissions with this thing now. Wish me luck!

Edit:

Here's Torrinne's WIP. :s

Hatake Ayumi 07-05-2010 06:24 PM

I'll try it out...
...
when I'm finally motivated.
:cry:
*puts sign on back, sign says "Most unmotivated person, yesterday, today and foreverrrrr"*

Kent 07-05-2010 09:42 PM

*pops in* o 3o

Ooh~ This TabletDraw program sounds nice~ o wo I'd love to try it out~

And all the drawings you've posted so far look awesome~ * ^* <3

mewmew07 07-06-2010 02:54 AM

You need to let me know when you go off of hiatus from the shop and open slots open again and also when you do more fully colored pieces.

Since I really, really want some more art from you.

Lejic 07-06-2010 06:17 AM

@Hatake: Awww. I love you anyway, does that help? XD

@Kent: It IS an awesome program! And so cheap, next to the others, even though I'm just using a trial yet. Thank you. <3 =^.^=

@mewmew: I need to finish two halfbodies (one of them the work-in-progress up there) and then I can open up slots. Those were event freebies that I stiiiill haven't finished, so those need to be done. X3
Thank you so much for the interest mewmew. ;-; <3
By the way, your signature art is even more yummy than usual. *_* Especially the middle one!

Edit: Done with Torrinne's piece:

mewmew07 07-06-2010 07:59 AM

That's fine, Lejic. I need to earn some more gold anyways.

And thank you! Glad you like it!

Hatake Ayumi 07-06-2010 12:30 PM

:heart:
Yesss, I'm still luffed!

How long does the Trial last for btw?

Lejic 07-06-2010 07:27 PM

@mewmew: <3

@Hatake: Forever. XD You're just limited to two layers and 5 undo's. Other than that, it's for ever. It's 35 dollars which is 55 bucks in my country's currency. I can do that in a month or two. I'm loving how cheap it is too, I must admit. After seeing that even the simplest drawing stuff is 100$++ D:

Hatake Ayumi 07-06-2010 11:12 PM

A forever trial version?
I'M IN LOVE!!!!!
:heart: :drool:

Lejic 07-07-2010 12:18 PM

I know right? :heart:

It's difficult to work with just two layers, I'm used to at least three but eh, being able to use it forever LEGALLY rocks. <3

Hatake Ayumi 07-07-2010 04:39 PM

*is/was a total layer hog*
xD
Ne, Min, how long does it take for you to do, say, a simple colored piece, about the size of a torso and up thingy?

Lejic 07-07-2010 09:48 PM

Layers are love! <3

Ummm it totally depends. I mean it can take just an hour or two if I have a good idea and can put it to work easily, but sometimes it takes me aaaages. D: Why? :o

Hatake Ayumi 07-07-2010 10:31 PM

*rants*
UGH, It's only for Macs! *has a PC*
; A ;

Oh, it takes me aaaages to do stuffu on computer... Just checking to see if that's normal.
xD;;

Lejic 07-08-2010 07:05 AM

I'm sorry. ;-; I didn't know it was mac-exclusive, but GIMP didn't work well with my mac so I went searching for something new. GIMP, in my opinion, is the best I've used on a PC. I just can't use GIMP on my mac because the tablet control sucks on this platform, booo.

Heheh, it varies a lot.
I mean sometimes 10 minute doodles of mine come out satisfactory and then sometimes I spend 2 hours and all I get is a sketch piece. :P
But generally speaking, it takes less, for me, than it does when I draw by hand. Especially the coloring part. No undos irl so I need to go slower.
