She got up from the bed and thought about it. "I do believe you are right, love. Need a change of clothes anyway." she said, smiling at him. Gabri also thought about how she would need to pack about a weeks worth of clothing.
"We are going to have to pack clothes and such for the trip." Gabri said as an afterthought. |
"Hmm, thats true, we can't exactly walk around wearing armor everywhere we go now can we?" He laughed a little bit. After they were both ready, he held her hand and left his room with her, descending the stairs and heading to the throne room. He headed down a hallway opposite the kitchen with her, it lead down to the bathing rooms, where everyone went to clean themselves up. He gave Gabri a kiss "I'll see you when we're both clean my love" he laughed lightly and went off to the men's changing room, a lot of the men were already there, towels around their waists, some laughing and preparing for their baths where others were just finished with theirs.
"Hey Link!" Greeted one soldier, he went on his way, off to the baths right after, Link placed his armor onto a table and grabbed a towel, he went behind a screen and came back out, wearing the towel around his waist, he placed his clothes with his armor. He grabbed another towel and draped it over his shoulders and headed off to the baths, a giant room that had many hot tubs around in the floor. He climbed into an empty one, taking his towels off and placing them off to the side of the tub. He sighed, he'd miss everything about Labrynna when he'd go, but, he didn't want to say he'd leave just yet to all of his fellow soldiers. |
"We might scare people away with our armor." Gabri said as she finished getting ready. They went downstairs and then separated towards the different wash rooms.
She walked into the wash room and saw few woman there. Gabri changed and went to the tubs, a towel wrapped around her body. She stepped in and, before sitting, she removed the towel. Washing her hair and body, Gabri thought of the things she would miss in Labrynna but she thought of how much she would miss if she didn't leave. She finished washing, got out of the tub and wrapped the towel around her. Gabri walked into the changing room and grabbed a clean uniform. Drying off, she slipped into it and put her shoes on. Gabri Ella walked out of the wash room and sat at a table in the kitchen, waiting for Link to return. |
When he was cleaning off the soap, he took a moment to look at the back of his left hand at the Triforce mark, but, he quit looking when he remembered he had to meet up with Gabri. He quickly climbed out, wrapping the towel around his waist and drying himself off with the extra one, he quickly grabbed a spare uniform and got dressed. He then ran off to the kitchen where a soldier said Gabri was at, when he caught up he sat down at the table she was at. "hello love! Sorry for making you wait..." he gave her a kiss. "I just love feeling clean, don't you?" He asked her smiling.
Gabri giggled at Link. "I haven't been waiting long, so its alright. I was worried that Shad or Ryudo would see me sitting alone and would approach me." she said with a small laugh. She returned his kiss. "It is a wonderful feeling to be clean." Gabri smiled. "Since we are here, would you like to have breakfast?"
"hmm, I would've been afraid too, I wonder where they're at..." he looked around the room, curious about them, but he forgot about it after she kissed him. He laughed, "sounds good love" one of the chef's assistants came over, the same breakfast as last time, but that didn't change the fact it tasted good. She gave them a bow and ran off to serve other hungry soldiers, he picked up his glass of water that she also brought for them both. He held it out toward Gabri for a toast, "to possibly our last breakfast in Labrynna" he said quietly to her to not attract attention.
"...For now," Gabri said as she knocked his glass gently with hers. She took a sip of the water and placed the glass down. She took a bite of her food, then looked at Link. "So, what are we going to do today? Play the games?"
He nodded his head and took a bite of his eggs, he quickly swallowed to talk, "there is a new shop in the city that I heard of from a soldier in the wash room, its called 'The Trendy Game Shop', he said his son was begging for one of the toys there." He laughed a little and then took another bite of his food, he swallowed, "perhaps that should be our first stop today, love?"
((That game store is from a different Zelda game, LoZ: Link's Awakening, but its still on the same system as the ones where our town names are from, so I decided to add it in.)) |
Gabri took a bite of her bacon and turned to Link. "That sounds like fun, darling." she said sweetly. She was thinking about tomorrow. They were going to have to tell the King that they decided to leave tomorrow. "We should actually stop by the King first and tell him of our plans." Gabri Ella said as she finished up her eggs.
"Oh yeah, thats right! I nearly forgot..." He scratched the back of his head and continued eating his breakfast, trying to enjoy it but eat it fast at the same time. He ate his last bite and drank the last of his water, wiping his face with his napkin, "ready?" He asked her, smiling, he stood up and waited for her before they'd go tell the king, "I just hope he doesn't make us delay our trip for a little longer..."
Gabri finished her breakfast and rose from the table. "I'm ready, love. I hope he doesn't delay us either. It might make me rethink leaving." she said, trying to joke but failing at it.
"Alright... here we go" he held his breath a little bit, but went back to breathing and held Gabri's hand. After leaving the kitchen and entering the throne room, the king was sitting on his throne, looking rather bored, but when he saw Link and Gabri, he smiled and quickly sat up straight. "Link, my boy! Have you two decided when you wish to leave so soon?" Link nodded his head and took a deep breath, he was still a bit nervous, "we've decided that... we wish to leave tomorrow" the king was a bit shocked. "But, my lad, why so soon? We still need time to prepare your destinations along the way!" The king slouched in his chair a little bit and he started to think, "very well, but we must prepare quickly, guards, summon my scholars, we must find... what was it called again?" He asked Link, he laughed a little, "it was Hyrule, your majesty."
"Oh yes, right, to the library!" He got up out of his throne and ran off to the library with guards following after him. Link laughed once more, "I had no idea he'd be in such a rush... for now, lets head off to town and explore their activities love." He gave her a kiss, holding her hand, he started to leave the castle and its grounds with her, off to Lynna City. |
Gabri enjoyed listening to Link's voice, she could hear his nerves as he told the King of their plans. She giggled when the King ran out of the throne room. "He is almost as excited as you are, Link, darling."
"Let's go play," she said as her and Link walked out of the castle and into the city. |
After reaching the city, you could hear all of the activity, children laughing and playing, dogs barking, people chatting and shouting as they were selling things to townsfolk and to those from different towns coming to shop. "Hmm... now wheres that game shop...?" He mumbled to himself, looking around the active square, he noticed a lone building off to the end of town, some children were crowded around it and others ran out with toys in their hands. "Oh, that must be it! Come on love!" He ran toward the store, holding her hand along the way.
The rest of the kids outside had just ran inside, Link and Gabri followed behind, the whole place was a giant crane machine. There was a giant, hollow hole in the floor, full of toys, rupees, and other fun objects for kids. "Hello there! I see you are interested in the Trendy Crane game!" Greeted the shop owner, he was a balding, hunched over man with glasses, but, he seemed really nice. "Yes, we heard about your shop and we came here to try it out" the owner adjusted his glasses and nodded his head, "when all of the little kids have gone, you may try, you should go try some other games until we're ready." Link frowned a little bit, but there were a lot of kids waiting to play, so he got over it quickly, "very well, we'll be back soon, sir" Link gave him a short bow and left the store with Gabri. "So much for our first stop..." he said, sounding a bit disappointed, "do you see anything else we could do to pass time, love?" |
"We could go shopping for gifts instead of winning a prize. Work our minds to find things worthy of our friends and family." Gabri said to him, smiling as she pulled him towards a shop that had jewelry. She was thinking of her mother as she looked at the necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
She held up a gold necklace with red gems on it. "What do you think of this for Mother?" Gabri didn't say 'her' mother since they will share the same mother in marriage soon enough. |
"Hmm, sounds good actually, love" he said as he followed her to the jewelry shop, he tried to have a vision of Sabrina wearing the necklace, he was successful and it looked nice on her. "I think she'll look great in it, lets buy it for her" he said smiling, he reached into the bag on his belt and pulled out the money, he handed it to the shop owner, who gave him a thank you and a bow in return. He laughed a little bit, "see anything else you'd like, love?" He asked her, looking around at all of different kinds of jewelry.
Gabri looked around the room, she saw rings and such that looked beautiful but couldn't think of anyone to give them to. "I'm sure my little brothers would not like these." she said with a laugh. Then she saw a ring with a blue diamond set in it and she froze for a moment. "Do you see anything you'd like to get?"
He laughed, "no thank you love, but, did you want that ring?" He asked for the blue diamond ring and the owner allowed them to take a closer look. "I'll buy it for you if you want it" He said smiling.
Gabri blushed and looked up at Link. "Oh...I was just thinking about...an engagement ring." She held the ring up and looked at it closer. It was a silver band with a blue diamond, cut in an oval shape, placed on top.
He blushed a little bit, "oh yes, very well, I shall buy you it and one for me" he gave the shop lady the money for Gabri's ring and he chose a normal silver ring for himself to almost match hers. The lady placed all of the jewelry in special velvet laced boxes and tied them up with matching ribbons, she then placed them in a nice basket for them to carry. "Thank you for your business and have a happy marriage!" she said giggling, Link blushed again and scratched the back of his head, "th...thank you" he said shyly. He carried the basket for Gabri, still blushing a little bit, "uhh, see anything you could get for your brothers, love?"
Gabri kiss Link on his blushing cheek and then smiled at him. "I don't think my brothers will enjoy jewelry. Maybe look in a different shop?" she said as she guided Link out of the shop and onto the street. "I believe they are getting into hunting now. Maybe some new equipment?"
"Alright, theres a weapon shop right over here" he said, pointing off to his right, he held her hand and entered it with her. They were greeted with walls full of many different weapons, from axes to swords, also it was surprisingly quiet compared to the outside, it was quite peaceful. There was a bald, muscular man with a brown mustache asleep behind the counter, he was sitting in a chair, his right hand on his stomach, he was snoring a bit loudly, it made Link laugh quietly to himself. "Hmm, what weapons would be good for your brothers love?" He asked, looking around at the cramped shelves.
Gabri wasn't much of a hunter so she wasn't sure on weapons for it. She looked at the various things she saw. "I'm not sure...I was never a hunter," she said, looking at Link. "What do you suggest? I was thinking maybe a hunting knife or something small for them to learn with."
He scratched his chin as he looked around, trying to find the best hunting knives, he managed to find some on a lone shelf, he looked them over for the sharpest blade. He found one that looked promising, so he pulled a hair from his head and dropped it onto the blade, it cut it in half and he smiled, "perfect!" He found another one just like the other and took it with him as well, "should we get something for Ryudo?" He asked her, but then he thought twice, "actually, never mind, he might try to use it on me for all I know."
He looked around at the bows and arrows, "do you think they'd be interested in these?" He asked her, holding out two bows toward her. |
Gabri smiled at Link. "They just might like those as well. Help in catching prey." She took the bows from him and looked them over. They looked pretty sturdy and they were different enough that her little brothers wouldn't get confused on whose is whose. "Let's get them!" she said, excitedly.
