It was just really hard to hear him put the sites I frequent into the same category as him. He is more important than pixels. I love these sites, but when I spend so much time on them that my sons view of where they fall in importance is that distorted I know its time to separate some.

He wants me to teach him to roll play. I do it with my brother and a few of his friends a couple times a month, and my son thinks it is really interesting. I was planning on coming on and just donating off all my stuff, and letting friends know I would peek on when time allowed, but he convinced me I should sell the items and use the gold to get art of our characters. He really wants visual aids while he learns, and seems where I never have had one myself, I think its a pretty awesome idea.

I do not plan on leaving entirely. I just plan to pull back some, and be sure to only come on when he is not home. When he is home, my time will be spent with him, getting involved in his interests, and maybe showing him a few of my own, that don't involve the computer.
