Bennett affected a high-pitched voice.
"Umm, no officers. We are on a pilgrimage to a local shrine. We have not seen the woman, though we must avert our eyes to any men, so if he had walked by us, we would not have seen him." Bennett stared at the floor and tried not to betray them by tugging at the bra. |
The officer looked up and cleared his throat "errhem.... well, thank you for your co-operation... please let us know if you see either of them ok?" he said as he quickly slipped Elly his card. she bowed lightly and accepted it, but the officer quickly scooped her up grabbing her and pulling her close "and let me know if you need anything else..." he said flirtationsly as he rubbed her behind. Elly had an uncomfortable look on her face as he let her go and gently closed the door and walked down the hall and went down the stairs.
|
Bennett tore at the dress and veil, getting tangled in the long layers.
"That insolent, filthy oaf. I will have him bound by law, brought up on charges. He'll have to dig his way out of the shit-storm I am going to rain on him." He tossed the clothing to the side and began to storm out the door in his boxers. |
"W...wait" Elly said as she jumped on his back, still wearing her face veil and dress "remember, we are no longer in the castle...." she said as she tried to hold Bennett down "neither of us can reveal ourselves.... nor can we do anything about what happened" she blushed, realizing that she was tackling her practically naked husband to be "we have to just let it go..." she said as she gently stroked his head to try and calm him down.
|
"I know, it's just..." Bennett's voice trailed off as he realized he was wearing nothing more than his underwear and Elly was on his back. He pushed her off, trying to be gentle, then slipped into his pants.
"We have to have a plan. We've got to think about how we're going to hide and how we're going to live." |
Elly quickly picked up her bra and took out the pads from within them and quickly ran into the washroom and took off the clothes she was wearing and slipped her bra back on and got changed into a lolita dress. she stepped out of the washroom and sat back down on the bed, "i'm not sure what we're going to do...." she said softly as she looked down at the floor.
|
Bennett watched her come out of the bathroom and sit at the edge of the bed. He grabbed her in a fierce hug, worried that he had upset her.
"Look it's okay. Tomorrow, everything will be better. Tomorrow morning, we are getting married and after that it doesn't really matter. you know?" Bennett turned and looked at the massive bed. "Um, if I could have one of those blankets? I'll just sleep on the floor." |
Elly blushed a bit "it..it's ok" she said softly as she looked up at him "neither of us have to sleep on the floor..." she gently stood up as she stood near the window and looked out into the sunset.
|
He moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
"Everything's going to be alright. We've got each other. We'll figure it out. But now, we need to rest. Tomorrow's a big day and I want you to be ready for it." Bennett turned her shoulders, so she was facing him. He gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and smiled at her. "Do you know how lucky I am?" |
Elly blushed a bit as she looked down at the floor "k...kind of..." she said softly as she smiled a bit before she gently hugged him.
|
Bennett lifted her face.
"I don't know if that's embarrassment or an old habit from the palace, but you are no longer allowed to look at the floor, okay?" he smiled and held her for few seconds. Bennett walked to the edge of the bed and sat down heavily, flopping back so that he was laying down. "I was thinking, I could be a farmer," he smiled at the idea, "Oh, or a blacksmith." He glanced over at Elly and patted the bed beside him. |
Elly blushed a bit as she sat on the other side of the bed and smiled "well, whatever you are" she said softly as she gently kissed his forehead "i'll still love you no matter what" she smiled as she gently ajusted the bottom of her dress.
|
Bennett smiled at her and turned to face her.
"Okay, you take the restroom and get ready fro bed and I'll run downstairs and see if I can rustle up some pajamas." He turned and dashed down the stairs to see if the owner of Inn knew where he could get some clothes. |
Elly smiled as she went over to the closet and pulled out a short, green and brown nightgown made of satin and went into the washroom and began to get changed. she was a bit nervous about sharing a bed with a male for the first time, not to mention her fiance... but she was sure that everything would be ok. she gently began to let her hair down as she brushed it.
|
He returned to the room with a set of newly-purchased pajamas in hand. He made sure Elly was still in the restroom and quickly changed into the pants. He tossed the shirt away, hating to wear more than was necessary for modesty's sake.
Bennett looked at the bed doubtfully. He didn't want to scare Elly away and climbing into bed two days after he met her, whatever his intentions seemed a pretty good way to do that. He sighed and gave up worrying about etiquette. He tossed back the covers and climbed into the side of the bed closest to the door, knowing that if something came in tonight, it would have to go through him to get to Elly. |
Elly slowly touched the door knob but then withdrew a bit nervously as her cheeks turned red 'what if....' she thought nervously as she sat on the ledge of the bathtub and sighed lightly trying to calm herself down 'don't worry Elly...' she thought 'it will be alright'
Elly gently walked towards the door and turned the knob and gently peeked out of the small crack in the door. her cheeks blazing red as she looked nervously down at her toes. |
Bennett sighed and he interlocked his hands behind his head. His forced casual behavior was completely an act. Inside his stomach was trying to be free of a million butterflies.
He saw the door open a crack and sat up in bed. He didn't see Elly appear, so he called out to her. "Elly, come on. I'm not going to bite. I really can sleep on the floor if you want." Bennett hoped that the gentle implorings would bring her out. |
Elly slowly opened to door while loking down at her toes "it...it's ok..." she said softly as she gently walked over to her side of the bed and took a seat. the silk rubbing against her skin as she nervously looked over her shoulder at him and smiled as her cheeks turned a flirty rose.
|
Bennett wrapped his arm around Elly and rubbed her shoulder with his hand.
"It's okay. Nothings going to happen. But we really need to get some sleep." He took his arm away and turned her by her shoulders, so she faced him. He looked at her for a few moments then kissed her forehead, gently. "Let's go to bed. Tomorrow's going to be wonderful." Bennett eased her down onto the bed and pulled the covers up to her chin. He jumped out of bed and turned the lights off before settling in beside her. Bennett lay rigid next to her, not wanting to touch her, just in case she got the wrong impression. He eased his hand over into he found her open palm and he interlocked their fingers together. "Night," he whispered. |
Elly smiled "Good night" she said softly as she turned to face him and gently kissed him on the lips before cuddling into him. even though she was nervous, she knew that she would be safe with him.
|
Bennett turned towards her and wrapped his arms around her. He felt like nothing else in the world mattered except the girl in his arms.
He drifted off to sleep. |
later during the night, Elly opened her eyes to look at her future husband she gently began to move a bit while replacing her body with a pillow. she began to write a note on a bit of paper. when she was finished, she set the note on the pillow and began to climb down from the window and onto the ground, carrying her collapsable sword in her hands.
|
Bennett was having a wonderful dream. He had eaten and drank his fill at a banquet in his honor and was lying in bed with a beautiful woman next to him.
Bennett wrapped his arms tightly around the woman, crushing her soft body to his. He smiled as he felt her succumb to his vise like arms and press herself against his chest. She was so soft, so pliable... Bennett's eyes flew open as he realized that he was snuggling a pillow. He sat up quickly and scanned the room for Elly. His eyes fell to a piece of paper that had flown off the bed when he sat up. He scanned it, mouth hanging open. He was concerned and a little angry at Elly. She had no right to leave on her own, especially not for.. this. Bennett crumpled the note and threw on some clothing. He walked down the stairs and out into the dark town. He was tempted to call out for her, but didn't know if the soldiers were still around. Her walked off in the direction that he hoped Elly had come from. |
Elly walked down an allyway of a tailors and pulled out a paper clip as she began to fiddle with the lock until it opened. she sighed as she knew this was illegal, but she wanted to look beautiful for the wedding. she began to pull out a manequin that was the same size as her and began to assemble some materials together, the then began to sew together a gown with shakey hands due to her nervousness about how he would react to the note.
[[if you're wondering, the note wasn't anything bad... she just wanted to make a pretty dress for the wedding and didn't have the materials for it]] |
((I got ya, I just wanted to play it like he was angry she would put herself in danger.))
Bennett stopped in the middle of the dark street he was on. He listened to the night noises and thought he heard something above the noise of the crickets and sleeping livestock. He looked at the shops around him and recognized one as the mercantile where he got the pajamas earlier. He saw a dim light in the window and knew he had found her. rather than charging in and making an ass of himself, Bennett checked that the area was clear and then stood watch for his bride to be. He thought that once they were married, Elly would have to be more careful. He didn't want her getting hurt. |
