Shortly after dawn Arlyana wakes and dresses call to her black wolf midnight lets go let you out and then find some breakfast for both of us my friend. Walking in to the main area seeing on one there she and midnight walk out on the porch to see two people siting there. Midnight sensing no danger just trotted on by them to go take care of his bissness and find him some food. She walks up to them and greets them politely. I am Arlyana the wolf is my companion Midnight. I is nice to meet the two of you. Sets down next to the girl and pulls out a flute and plays a elven song of greeting a new day. She then puts it a way and just sits there quietly waiting for her wolf to return.
|
Link and Midna's ears perked up, seeing Euphoria step up and sit by them, they smiled happily, "good morning Euphoria" said Link happily, Midna floated up, making some room for them to sit by each other. She sat back down on Link's opposite side, snuggling into his side and hugging him, it made Link laugh a little, but he turned his attention toward Euphoria, he held Midna close though, she sighed happily. "I slept alright, thank you, how about you? I'm sorry if I worried you, I just wanted to get the first deep breath of the fresh morning air before our day actually starts, and to view the rising sun..." He placed his hand upon hers and watched as the bright, orange sun rose over the treetops, covering them with its light.
"Its so pretty..." Midna said quietly, her exposed eye sparkling and her smile widening, "just like home..." Link's eyes opened up, looking down at Midna, he smiled a little then looked back at the sun, he frowned though. "We may go back home soon, Midna... to see the sun rise in Hyrule once again, and to see all our friends happy faces, they must be so worried about us..." He got an idea and smiled happily, turned back toward Euphoria, holding her hand up at chest level, "Euphoria..." he started to say, "would you like to... come live in Hyrule with Midna and me?" He suggested, it was a big question to ask, so he wasn't expected an instant answer. ((Arlyana, can you try to be more literate in your posts, use "" when your character is talking, so your dialog isn't mixed into your actions? Its a little difficult to know when shes talking if you don't use them, please?)) |
The woman flashed her dazzling smile and replied lightly, "I slept very well, snuggling with you, Link." After a moment, Euphoria got up and retrieved her wine bottle and porcelain wine glass, pouring a nice amount of the ruby liquid. She tasted it and smiled. "This wine is magical."
Euphoria looked slightly shocked, and brought Link's hand to rest over her heart, leaning close to him. "I.. I'm honoured, Link," she whispered. Both of her hands held one of his, and she brought it up to brush her lips gently over his fingertips. "We wouldn't be going yet, if I said yes, right..?" Euphoria looked slightly unsure. "I.. Would like it if you stayed here, with me, for another day or two, at least.." Her eyes were bright and welled up slightly with tears at the kindness and generocity that Link was showing her. |
Link smiled and chuckled lightly, "not at all Euphoria, we have no reason to leave so soon, Midna and I would much rather prefer spending more time in this beautiful place with you, Sard, Kane, Jaigo and the rest." He gave her a gentle hug and patted her on the back to help calm her down, "no need to cry my friend, just say when you wish to leave, and we shall..." he grew a look of concern on his face just then and moved back to look into her eyes. "Its strange... I felt something just now... something awful" Midna looked up at Link in confusion, "whats wrong, Link?" She asked, looking concerned, but then Link felt a sensation in his left hand, it felt like it was burning, so he quickly pulled himself away from Euphoria and looked at the back of it.
"Link! What happened?!" Midna asked him, now really worried, she hovered in the air and looked at his hand, the Triforce of Courage was glowing brightly, but then, so did the Triforce of Wisdom, the bottom right triangle, it was not as bright as Courage. Then, Link's face had a look of horror over it as the Triforce of Power, the top triangle, began to glow brightly, Midna didn't know what was going on, but apparently Link did, the Wisdom Triforce then faded away weakly. As did Courage, but Power glowed brightly, as if blinding, it made Link look away, but as he did, it faded out and his hand no longer hurt. "This... this is awful..." he still looked scared and surprised at the same time, he stood up and walked forward slightly, but he stopped and held his forehead, his left hand staying at his side as if lifeless. Midna was still confused, and she sat by Euphoria, "what is going on, Link? What was the Triforce trying to say?" Link's hands went back to his sides, he sighed and shook his head, "it spoke to me... it was saying that Ganon is surly returning to this world. He plans to obtain the Triforce once more to rule all and gain ultimate power..." Midna gasped a little bit, her hands hovering over her mouth, but they went down to her sides as she spoke, "but... but how? Its only been a few months since we last defeated him, how could he be coming back?!" She floated over to Link's side, putting her hand on his shoulder, he put his hand upon hers, "don't worry, we defeated him once, we can defeat him again... its just" he looked over his shoulder at Euphoria. Midna did as well, then looked back in sadness, "I know you wanted to take her to Hyrule, Link... but I don't know if you can now, knowing she could be in danger", "Exactly, Midna, and its disappointing, to have this happen at this time..." She nodded her head, "I understand how you feel... but, there's no need to be upset about this forever, Ganon is not alive yet, correct?" Link nodded his head, "then lets try to enjoy all the time we have here with Euphoria and the others, no sense in ruining it all." He looked back at Euphoria and managed to crack a small smile, "I suppose you're right Midna..." he turned around, stepped forward a little and offered his hand to Euphoria, "perhaps I should continue my story and make you some breakfast." |
Euphoria took Link's hand and pressed her lips firmly to the triforce that had just been glowing. Her expression showed concern and hope, her voice very gentle. "Link, no matter the danger, I can't let you go back to face that horrible.. Gannon person alone. I wouldn't like it much if you chose to underestimate me, for my bloodline is one of the most powerful. It's why those horrid men were after me." Euphoria let more of her ruby red wine flow past her lips, enjoying the dry, fruity taste. "It would be a great honour if you'd allow me to return with you to Hyrule and smite that villan, Link." She trailed her fingertips along Link's jaw. "And I just can't bear to let you go, just you and Midna."
After settling back a little, Euphoria looked thoughtful. She waas getting kind of hungry, and still very interested in his story. "I'd like that," she said, smiling softly. "Would you like some of this tasty wine?" |
((So sorry I've been gone. I've been completely absorbed by school and my other role playing forums.))
Sardonis, Kane and Jaigo sat around the bar. It was another day and the three of them had spent the whole morning sprucing up the bar and preparing for another day of work. Kane had made breakfast and had it displayed on the bar. Jaigo was eating a bowl full of watermelon and Sardonis was polishing glasses, what most assumed was a nervous habit for him judging by his tendency to do it so often. |
"Oh! No, I never underestimated you, just, I was unaware if you could fight or not..." he thought for a little bit, but then flashed a smile and nodded his head. "Alright, we'll take you to Hyrule still Euphoria... I admire your bravery, reminds me of when I first became a hero." He chuckled lightly, but he denied her offer of wine, "I'm sorry, I don't drink wine, come on, lets go inside now, I sense that the others are awake now." He walked over and opened the door for her, when she stepped inside, Midna followed after, then Link, who shut the door behind him. Link then noticed that Sard, Kane and Jaigo were indeed up, "good morning friends!" He greeted, waving at them, he then sat down at the bar and patted his hand on the seat next to him for Euphoria.
"Nice to see you all up bright and early as well" Link said, trying to break the overall silence of the room, Midna sat down in the opposite chair by Link and yawned, "I'm hungry..." She said sleepily, "whats for breakfast?" He whispered in Euphoria's ear, "I'll finish my story after breakfast, Euphoria" then he sat down normally as if he said nothing. |
Kane motioned to the varied spread before them, "This."
Jaigo chuckled and ate another piece of watermelon before looking over to Link, "Morning! Did you three sleep well?" The boy spun in his stool with boredom a few times before stopping and facing it toward Link again. Sardonis smiled at his guests and set the mug onto the hangars above the bar before looking down at them, "Please enjoy the food. Would you like to perform again tonight, Mr. Link?" |
Link was impressed by the spread that Kane had prepared, but sadly, he was not hungry at that moment, he held his gut and hunched over a bit, perhaps knowing of Ganon's return ruined his appetite. Midna didn't seem that way though, she helped herself to whatever she wanted and sat back down by Link with a full plate of food, which she began to eat happily, she looked over at Link though in concern, "Are you alright, Link?" He gave her a smile and sat up straight, "yeah, I'm okay, thanks for asking, and I slept good Jaigo, thank you..." He then turned his attention toward Sard and his question, "I'd love to perform again my friend, its enjoyable being able to play music for the sake of fun now."
He then got an idea, he had only told the first bit of his story to Euphoria, no one else, so he brought up the idea, "perhaps you'd all like to hear a story?" He asked, pointing it at everyone, he then patiently waited for an answer. |
Euphoria smiled and her eyes lit up as soon as Link told her she'd be allowed to journey with them. Ah, yes, she'd been craving the old hero-heroine 'legendary battle' sort of thing. Since she was a girl, she'd trained and fought, and travelled the realms searching for a way to make a name for herself."Thank you, Link.. " She leaned over and pecked him lightly on the cheek, grinning.
After a moment, her stomach rumbled softly and she giggled. "Oh! Hah, I guess I am kinda hungry," Euphoria said, taking a small plate to fill with apricots, watermelon, and a few slices of bacon. At Link's discomfort, she leaned close to him and gently rubbed his back with one of her hands, her head on his shoulder. "You sure you don't want to eat? You had a pretty crazy night.." Euphoria's voice was so gentle and sweet as she spoke. One might say it was almost.. Musical. She finished quietly with, "I would love to hear your story, Link," her smile was dazzling, once more. "I've been on edge since you left me hanging last night, ahaha." |
Roess slipped through the door as quietly as she could, trying not to draw attention to herself. Not that the effort needed to be made--the tall men-folk wouldn't hear her enter regardless, and at any rate if she didn't want to be noticed she wouldn't enter at all. However she was left with little choice. The dryad had gotten herself quite lost, and the local forest denizens were wary of strangers, even other spirits like herself. If she was ever to find her way home she would need help, and the men-folk were the only option left to her.
She really should know better than to take a nap while riding a sylph. Wind spirits are terribly untrustworthy. |
Porena slipped through the open window as a cat, and jumped down between the tables, looking for scraps. 'Jeeez! The least they could do is drop the occasional scrap of fish.' She headed behind the bar, hoping for someone to beg from.

He had waited for a reply from everyone, but, he decided to just say it, with or without one, he started by repeating the first part of his tale that he told Euphoria last night. Once he had caught everyone up, he then continued, "unfortunately, though my efforts to return the woods to normal was successful, the children were missing and my friend Rusl was still too injured to do anything, I returned to the village temporarily to check on everyone. I was greeted with mixed emotions, the village was so quiet and almost depressing without the children around, their parents truly took it the hardest. Being the only one who could do anything, I vowed to retrieve the children and bring them home, I was given a sword and shield to help defend myself. Any other supplies they felt I needed were given, and after a rather hard farewell, I left the village and returned to the woods, the forest spirit had alerted me of the temple further into the trees and to go there. As I ran toward the giant temple in front of me, sword and shield at the ready, I was stopped by a wolf, glowing a bright yellow and with a red eye, his other was scarred, it growled and lunged at me. Suddenly, everything around me was different, I was within a strange place, fog covering the ground and the sound of something breathing was all around me, it was cold, like you were in the presence of a ghost. I heard something behind me and turned around, seeing a phantom in ancient armor, he braced for attack, as did I, but, he struck me down and began to speak. His words were wise and after some training, I acquired a new skill and became stronger, after another speech from the strange phantom, everything went white. I awoke just before the path to the temple, after regaining my balance I ran up the path to the temple, slicing through the spider web blocking the entrance, and ran inside, unaware of what was inside." He brushed his forehead and took a few breathes, "hey Sard, can I have some water, please? I'm gonna need it to continue" he chuckled lightly. Midna had finished her breakfast long ago, sitting on her stool and looking at Link with excitement, "I was there the whole time in the story, but its still fun to hear about it again from you Link." She smiled and and waited patiently for him to continue. |
Euphoria leaned close to Link as he told his story, very engrossed in the valiant and impressive tale. Every so often, she'd make a small "ooh.." Or "hmmm" sort of sound, assuring him that she was listening and taking in the information. What a warrior he was, and she couldn't wait to accompany him on a journey. Hopefully, at one point, she'd be able to fight at his side, the duo an unstoppable team. She imagined their powers to compliment eachother well, from what she'd heard and experienced thus far. When he paused, Euphoria snapped out of her engrossment and began to eat again, noticing that she hadn't touched her breakfast since Link had started speaking.

Is that, Porena's eyes widened in surprise, Another cat? She padded next to one of the men sitting around the bar. He had a cat tail, and he smelled like a cat. She took a deep breath and morphed back into a human. She was wearing a loose shirt and pants, but her feet stayed bare. "Are you a cat?" she asked quietly sniffing the air around him. "You smell like one, and you have a cat tail. Sorry that was rude of me. I'm Porena, what's your name?"

Faelin was keeping the morning watch. He crouched by a tree with an arrow nocked to his bow, searching the forest for any sign of danger. Horan, the dwarf, and him had been traveling together for the last couple of months. He spared a glance at him now. The little man was curled up underneath his blankets, snoring loudly, a fact that was likely to bring about danger and keep everything else away, which was part of the reason Faelin had suggested the watches. That and the fact that Faelin was being hunted for stealing from a nearby town, which was apparently big enough of a crime to be put to death. He wasn't going to let himself get caught anytime soon.
A nearby twig snapped, breaking Faelin out of his reverie. He stared at the spot where it had come from. Nothing happened. He looked back at Horan, whose sleep hadn't been disturbed in the slightest. I suppose it wouldn't hurt... Silently, he crept toward the place. There was nothing there. he paused a moment, listening, then returned to the camp, intending to make breakfast. However, they were out of food. Looks like I'll have to go hunting. Knowing he would find nothing near the camp, on account of Horan's snoring, he walked off, listening for game. After a while he smelled cooking food. Following the smell, he came across a tavern with a sign that said The DarkWinds Tavern. oh, good, we don't have to cook today! He considered going back to get Horan, but then realized he would be impossible to wake up and resolved to get the food and bring it back. |
Calistia silently walked through the forest, lookign around for a tavern of such so she could rest. The night time breeze was blowing her long greenish blue hair back as she sensed a group of people near by,the tavern coming into view on the edge of her sight. Her long skirt barely touching the ground as she approached the tavern, knocking on the door-not wanting to just barge in.
|
Porena sniffed around, but couldn't detect the scent of fish. "Nice meeting ya', I'll come back if I find some fish, so you can cook it for me 'kay." She said with a grin, weaving her way through the inn. Finally she reached the door, and opening it, was confronted with the site of a pretty elf boy with long blonde hair and light blue eyes. Leaning in, she took a small sniff, just to get his scent. He smells like an elf, the wind in the trees and the small saplings in the forest, but there's something else. Like the rocks in the mountain "Hi, I'm Porena, you wouldn't happen to have any fish would you?" She finally asked with a short laugh.
|
Faelin turned his attention to the girl, smiling. "Not with me, but I may have some back at my camp... If you want to come with me, I'm sure we can get you some," he replied. Extending a hand, he asked, "I'm Faelin, what's your name?" He wondered at the girl's sniffing. Perhaps she has a cold, he thought.
|
"Porena silly, I just told you. But, if your an elf why do you smell like stone?" She took his hand gently and shook it. "Wheres your camp, I can't wait to get some decent fish." She said, beginning to purr with her tail flicking from side to side and her brown ears standing straight up. "You're an odd combanation of smells, you've got wind and the trees, which is normal for an elf, but also earth and dirt, what could that be from?"
|
Faelin laughed. "Oh, oops, I must have missed it." ((which is actually what happened...)) "Sorry. Anyways, My camp is off this way." He pointed to the west. "If you'll follow me, I'll see what I've got. If we don't have any, we can always go out fishing." He grinned at the comment about his smell. "It must have something to do with my companion, who should still be back at the camp, sleeping. Anyways, let's head off!" With that, he started off in the direction of the camp. ((just to make sure, you're human right now, right?))
((And now for something ALMOST completely different.)) Horace came out of his dream like he would have come out of quicksand: slowly, with a lot of resistance. He got up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Looking around, he saw no sign of the elf. "Bah! always leaving so early..." He muttered, standing up. "He could at least wait around to tell me. Ah, well, while he's gone I might as well get something to eat." With that, he stood up and checked on their supplies. There wasn't much in there, which was likely the reason for Faelin's absence. He took out what they had and cooked it, hoping it would turn out better than his last attempt at a meal, which had turned out as coal. Unfortunately, this one did exactly the same thing. He sighed and waited for Faelin to return. |
((I'm in my elf form (I'm a Neko Elf!) but I always have a tail and cat ears, and if I want to be really cute I have cat paws. She can shift to any variation of human and cat, but must have at least one cat thing.))
"What's your companion? Huh? Huh? Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!" Porena ran around Faelin, tickling him and laughing. I haven't had someone to accept me like this since the last traveling performers. But they don't really count, they've got weirder people than me! Her purr was much louder now, and almost seemed to shake her whole body. ((She's really happy to meet another elf!)) |
Faelin laughed, trying to fend her off. He was exceptionally ticklish. Between long bouts of laughter, he eventually managed to string together a sentence: "You'll see when we get there!" Unfortunately, they didn't get there, because Faelin fell over from laughter and being tickled.
Horace thought he heard something off in the distance. It sounded suspiciously like laughter. Curious, he got up and followed the sound to find Faelin being tickled by an elf with cat ears and a tail. "Faelin!" He said. "Where were you this time?" |
Hearing a gruff voice and smelling the extremely strong smell of stone, Porena looked up, sneezed, and fell over. Getting back up, she walked over and spent a long moment just smelling him Stone, cold mineral water, and a hint of gemstone "I'm Porena! Are you Faelin's friend? If it isn't rude of me to ask, what are you? I'm a Neko Elf! It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand, waiting for him to answer her. "He was at The Darkwinds Tavern, but it's no fun there, they don't have any fish!"
|
Faelin got up, still laughing a bit. "Yes, I was meaning to ask you about that, Horace. Do we have any fish at the camp?"
Horace was just starting to get uncomfortable when she spoke. He took her hand, shaking it roughly. "I'm Horace, and I'm a dwarf." Turning to Faelin, he added, "No, we don't." Then he registered another detail of what they had said. "A tavern? That means precooked food! No doing it ourselves! Which way??" He began looking around quite excitedly, grinning. |
