Do you read any print newspapers?
I'm a journalism student and I was wondering...
Do you read any print newspapers? or do you get your neww fix online? And what papers or online sites do you use to find out about the world? Do you read local, national or international news? |
I usually check yahoo for my news or I watch the late night local news from my tv.
I read the Sunday newspaper and I listen to NPR for international news. I read the St. Petersburg Times. I also listen to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me! yes, I'm a geek. :)
I read the Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Reader. The NY Times occasionally, The Red-Eye, occasionally. Also the Nation (the news weekly.) I scroll through Myway.com for the wire news. If I want in depth on a world news story I'll go to the BBC.co.uk. For Bulgarian news I look at standartnews.com for headlines. If something catches my attention then I'll check one of the real news sites for in depth.

Paper, all the way. There's just something about the morning newspaper that you can never really give up. I don't know; maybe it's just me.
I used to read the newspaper. I only look at ads and the comics now. Heh.
I usually read the New York Times on weekdays (because I can get it for free) and then listen to NPR on the weekends
I live in Turkey, so I don't read the newspapers I assume that most Menewshans are familiar with; so I read a newspaper named "Cumhuriyet".
When there is a "Philippines Inquirer" or other newspaper in our house
if there is no newspaper i read online in yahoo.com and igm.tv |
I will occasionally buy or read a newspaper.
As a Criminology student I'm encouraged to keep up to date with crimes that are reported in the newspapers. |
I read the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, because we get it delivered, but usually only the entertainment and forum sections.
I generally find my news online. (AP.) If I'm close to a radio, I may listen to NPR. And if I see a paper, I may read it--but I'm cheap. I have internet anyway, so I just check the news that way.
I will read the local paper, but watch the national news (and on various channels - but mostly segments like Brian Gumble and not like CNN). Just because mass media news can be overwelming (and with sad material), now I dont go out of my way to ignore it, but I definately try to focus on what good stories that bring big change (hopefully for the better).
