Blue and NI fly after him, "you seem safe, well follow along with you~" ni says. |

"Um if you guys can swim and breathe underwater you guys are welcomed to come along," Scott said. He was tired and wanted to go home and take a nap. |
Blue and NI look at each other "we've never tried...." they consider, "but if we went underwater, we could nolonger fllllyyyy" they say in unison.

"Ahah, the I guess you guy shouldn't tag along then," with that Scott started home for a good snack and nap.

Dorcas got of the lake and dried off. She was curious about where the merman and other were going. Besides if she stayed in one spot for too long she'd eventually be found and escorted back to her village. She kept out of sight and watched the group from a distance. When she seen the wolven her ears laid back and her tail puffed slightly. It was a natural reaction to her. |

Scott got home and headed for the kitchen. He was extremely fast at swimming so got home real quick. He grabbed a snack and ate it. Then he headed to his room to sleep. |
Rasheeb's head turned quickly at the sight of two blue things darting out to join the merman - he didn't say anything though and deliberately turned away in order to tune out their conversation. Sometimes having impeccable hearing was as much a curse as a gift.
About to try and strike up conversation with the silent centaur, Rasheeb fell still. He had an uncanny way of telling when someone was watching him - the hair on the back of his neck would always prickle uneasily and his tail would twitch a bit at the tip. He turned his head, tilting it slightly and perking his ears. Someone else was here, but they were keeping quiet and out of sight. |
Blue and Ni were left alone by the river, oh crap oh crap.....were gonna get eaten!!! they zip as fast as thy can into a nearby tree, popping their heads out to watch the the wolf.

Fast movement caught his eye again, making him blink rapidly and shake his head. One ear swiveling to pay attention to -- whatever it was that was hiding out of sight - Rasheeb turned his head to look towards where the movement had stopped. Blinking again, he noticed two blue faces looking out towards him. His tail swished a few times, and then he called, "Does everyone in this forest simply watch in hiding?" His head turned away, staring towards where he felt something was hiding. Snorting, he turned from that as well, and started making his way back up towards the stone outcropping. Once close enough, he hopped onto it and turned. Crouching low on the rock, he stared down at the area with his tail twitching in agitation. He disliked being watched - if people wanted to sneak about, he was going to be positioned in a spot where he could get away from them quickly, thanks.

"we...we...just dont wanna g...get eaten..." ni says, clinging to her brother.
"hey! im not hiding!!! these leaves are jsut larger than me!!!" blue says trying to stay manly. |
Rasheeb blinked, staring in direction of the voices. "Eaten?" He looks around for a bit, then, "Eaten by what, exactly?" A long pause, then, "Not by me surely?" He asked, sounding scandalized. "I'd never eat a fairy - so unless you mean whatever is hiding yonder," looks in the bush area of whatever was hiding - still couldn't see who or what it was. "I don't see anything here that's going to eat you."

"b-b-but dont giant dogs e-e-eat faeries?" Ni says, peeking out from the leaves slightly. Blue hides behind her, still trying to look manly.

Rasheeb snorted. "Not any that I know." Looks at them both blandly, then says with perfect logic, "What would be the point? It'd be too much work to try and catch you in order to eat you, and you guys are smaller then most fruit."

Ni giggles "but brothers really slow~"
Blues knocks her on the head, knocking her out of the tree. "owww!" she looks up at him, "brothers being a jerk....if you keep this up, i wont marry you!!!" Blue grinned triumphantly, "maybe i should beat on you somemore!!" he knocks an apple out of the tree in her direction. "gah!" she dodges it "stoppp ittt!!" |
Rasheeb grinned at that comment - and then chuckled when said brother knocked her out of the tree. He was about to say something when he got completely confused.
"Wait wait wait. Hold up fairies." His brain hurt. "You're related, but you're going to get married?" That just..did not add up right. |
Blue flails "n-n-no! were not!!!" he says from the tree.
Ni giggles "brother is the perfect man~" she spils and twirls "hes so pretty~ and he looks great in dresses~!" she flutters around in the air. |
Dorcas stepped out from where she was. She couldn't help, but to laugh at the fairies. "A wolf eating a fairy that's a new one. Anyway my "meal" has already left. So much for finding out what a merman tastes like." Looking at the wolven and the faries she knew they'd be confused about what she was talking about.

Rasheeb tilted his head. "Are you brother and sister, or not?" Once he got that clarified, then he could figure out what the heck the marriage bit was all about.
His head turned so quickly his neck cricked when the bushes he'd been paying attention to finally parted to reveal what they were hiding. Catching sight of just what it was, he chuckled. "Ah, a Feline. No wonder you didn't come out straight away." Staying where he was, Rasheeb went from a prepared crouch to a relaxed, cross-legged sitting position - showing he had no intentions of going after the feline. At her comment, he burst out laughing. He'd heard a rumor among the other Wolven that Felines liked to eat fish sometimes - he didn't think Felines really ate merpeople, but the very idea was so amusing he couldn't help but laugh at it. "That would be a big meal, Miss," he commented once he was done laughing. |
"That it would," Dorcas laughed. "I was just joking with that merman before after he surprised me. To tell you the truth I really don't care much for fish." She walked closer to the rock so she could see the fairies better. "What brings a wolven out here," she aked looking at Rasheeb.

Rasheeb chuckled again. "He surprised you did he? Foolish thing - lucky to be alive." He said it with pure seriousness - not an inch of disrespect. It seemed this particular wolven had a healthy respect for the Feline race - maybe he got on the bad side of them once, or knew someone who had. Her next comment made his ear twitch.
"Is that true then? Some of you enjoy fish on occasion?" He'd always been curious about that, actually. At her question, he sighed and leaned back on his arms to stare at the sky. "Eh. My sire's being his usual ragey self and the dam doesn't really care much what I do, so I figured I'd go missing in action for awhile to clear my head." His reply was honest - he didn't dodge her question like he had with the mer. Felines belonged on land - they could be trusted to a certain degree. Mer -- well, he really, really wasn't sure what he thought of them. |
Dorcas was a little surprised by how polite Rasheeb was. Normally Felines and Wolvens didn't get along well. She nodded, "It's true that we do occassionaly enjoy fish." She watched him for a moment. "I see, it's good to get away sometimes so you can be alone to think. I'm Dorcas by the way." She smiled slightly and figured he wouldn't realize her position within Feline society and make a big deal out of it.

"Huh. That's pretty wild," Rasheeb commented, his voice reflecting interest and a mild awe for Felines who could catch fish, let alone eat them. Fast things, fish.
Rasheeb chuckled a bit, and nodded. "Oh, aye. That's true enough. I enjoy being alone more then most of my kind," he added contemplatively, before grinning. "Greetins then, Dorcas. I am Rasheeb." |
"It's nice to meet you Rasheeb." Dorcas laughed to herself as she thought about what another Feline would think if they seen her actually talking and being polite to a Wolven. "You don't care much for being in packs?" She looked at him curiously. Come to think of it she had never seen a Wolven traveling without at least one other from it's pack.

"And you," Rasheeb returned with equal politeness, his tail swishing with silent amusement. If anyone from his pack caught him talking to a Feline he'd be in for a world of hurt from his father. He had a bad habit of talking to them - it drove his father positively bug nuts that his eldest son spent more time amongst the Felines then his own pack. Rasheeb couldn't help it though - Felines were intriguing, for one. For another, they were alot more solitary and therefore weren't constantly nagging you. He preferred the cool politeness of Feline interaction to the busy, rowdy romping of pack life. Course, he'd never admit that to his pack - or a Feline, for that matter.
"Eh," he replied, rolling his shoulders. "I find I'm better off alone most of the time. I participate in most things, but whenever I can get away I can." That was the closest he ever came to admitting the truth, really. |
