THe pen tool is your friend! And the burn and dodge tools :D

I usually paint bucket the shading and then shape it with the brush tool. Are burn and dodge actual tools or kinds of changes to the color

Burn and dodge are shader tools :) they are located, lemme remember, under the paint bucket tool in the two columns toolbars. Not sure about one column view.

hahah, nah, most of the stuff in photoshop you can learn just by playing with it. XD really!
A class is just extra bonus, not much more new to be honest. BUt it's definitely faster. but i suggest either a photoshop book or online tutorial, unless you need to be in a class to learn XDD hahaa |
