Dimitrius sighed as he shook his head, "All elves may have outside beauty, but not all elves have true beauty, love."
Placing a soft kiss on her forehead, he murmured, "As for my pale skin, it's nothing compared to the glow of your tanned skin. My skin is like the cold snow, while your skin is like the heat of the desert; brilliant, blazing, and gorgeous beyond doubt." Placing a tender kiss on her lips, he smiled and murmured, "Now stop putting yourself down for I will hear no more of it. You shall never convince me that you have faults nor that your any less worthy of the terms Goddess and Angelic." |
Ariala felt her cheeks redden, if she was going to stay with Dimitrius she would have to work on the blush at his every compliment problem.
Ariala raised her lips to his own and let her insecurites go so that she could enjoy his tender kisses. Her fingers longed to roam his bare chest but she kept her feelings at bay as she kissed him slowly, if not a little hesitantly. |
Dimitrius chuckled at her hesitancy and blush as his hand slid into her hair and he deepened the kiss. "What's wrong, love? You're so hesitant to be near me.."
|
Ariala gave into her desires under his kiss, running her fingers along the planes of his chest. "I don't want to tempt myself, lest I do something I know I shouldn't." She said quietly, her forehead resting on his own. Though despite her words her nerves were humming, begging to pull Dimitrius against her to which she quickly obliged.
She reached around his neck to give hima tender kiss, wrapping her leg around him and holding him close. Her fingers ran the length of his sculpted chest, giving him a deep kiss, her tongue parting his lips. |
Dimitrius rolled onto his back as he pulled her on top of him, gently stroking her waist, her thigh, her hip, and returned her kisses, murmuring softly between them, "Don't worry, that won't happen. We both know we shouldn't, so although it seems like we will, deep down something will stop us before it gets that far, I promise."
|
"You're right." Ariala said, leaving a trail of kisses along the length of Dimitrius' jaw, moving her lips to his throat before returning to his mouth then moved her hand to cup his jaw gently as if she was holding glass, terrified to break yet to beautiful to let go of.
|
A light, soft moan escaped Dimitrius' lips as Ariala's lips pressed against his throat. As his hand slipped under the hem of her shirt to caress the bare skin of her back, his lips sought out Ariala's and merged with them in a number of kisses. "I love you very much," he murmured between the last couple of kisses, "so we'd better go.. I don't know how much longer I can last."
|
Ariala fought back the shiver of pleasure his fingers had left on her back and stood up, holding out her hand for him to stand as well. "So to your aunt's house?" She asked, pulling her dress over her head.
|
Taking her hand, he nodded as he stood up, "Aye, I'll drop you off there before I head to the practice session and meet you back there after we're finished."
After pulling on his clothes, he fixed his hair and slipped his arm around Ariala's waist, "Do you want to go back to your place and change? Or do you just want to wear my jacket until we get to Aunt Lina's?" |
"I'll run back." Ariala said, "Give me five minutes." She said, darting through the forest and reaching her house in record time.
"Ariala!" Marreck called to her, beckoning for her to come to him but she continued to run, choosing to ignore his drama for the day. Ariala pulled on the one sweater she owned and ran back through the forest to find Dimitrius. |
Dimitrius chuckled as he saw her returning through the clearing, calling out to her he teased, "You sure you'll be warm in that?"
|
"Its all I have." Ariala said with a small pout. "Its not like we have snow in Elimlee." She said, skipping up beside him.
|
Dimitrius chuckled, "Aye, that's true. If you get cold love, tell me and I'll give you my jacket. It's not like I need it as much as you do," he added as he took her hand in his and headed towards the border of Winterglade.
|
Ariala was mesmerized as she saw the snow falling lightly around them "Are you doing that?" Ariala asked, looking up at Dimitrius.
|
Dimitrius chuckled as he brought her hand to his lips, "You're the one causing the snow fall. My magic is simply playing off my emotions, so I'm not truly doing it."
|
Ariala smiled to herself, pleased that she made Dimitrius so happy that his magic had responded. She twirled ballerina style in the snow, feeling the cold flakes fall onto her and let out a small giggle. "Its so beautiful." She said, twirling once more.
|
Dimitrius smiled, "Aye, that it is. You should see it at night, it's even prettier with the sun setting."
|
"I bet." Ariala said, gazing around in wonder. She stopped twirling and stuck to Dimitrius' side when she saw other Winter Elves watching her. She shivered lightly in the chill, hoping Dimitrius wouldn't notice.
A quick movement caught Ariala's eye and she turned to see a figure that looked similar to Emelaide. She shivered again, this time from nerves. What would Emelaide if she saw them together. Ariala hadn't seen her since the day she had first kissed Dimitrius and she had been hoping it would stay that way. |
Dimitrius looked down at Ariala and sighed, not noticing Emelaide no more than 4 feet away from them. Slipping off his jacket, he slipped it around Ariala's shoulders and put his arm around her, his hand gently rubbing against her arm as they walked through the village to try and warm her up, "I told you that sweater wasn't warm enough.. you should have grabbed the jacket my Aunt gave you.."
--- Emelaide's glare followed the Ariala as she and Dimitrius walked, the temperature steadily decreasing around Ariala. When the couple was out of sight, Emelaide turned on her heel and stormed off towards the forest. |
Ariala moved closer to Dimitrius, afraid of where Emelaide had disappeared to. She felt another chill rack her small frame, odd since she was wearing Dimitrius' jacket.
~-~-~ "Ariala!" Marreck called. How dare she run away from him, just brush him off like a piece of lint on her shirt. She was probably with her Winter Elf, giving him all the attention that Marreck wanted. "ARIALA!" He shouted again, his voice contorted by anger as he reached the meadow. |
Dimitrius looked down at Ariala, "Ari, love, are you alright? You've never been this cold... you're not ill are you?"
---------- Emelaide groaned as she heard the name 'Ariala' being called, "Can't I get away from her for two bloody minutes?!" Stalking off in the direction of the voice, the area around her slowly began to ice over as her magic played off her emotions. Reaching the border, she saw a man coming towards her. Her hair crackling from her magic, she glared at the man nearing the border, "What the bloody hell do you want? Don't you know that little tramp is back in the village with her lover-boy Dimitrius? Now quit screaming for her and go back to wherever the bloody hell you came from before I turn you into a frozen statue, have I made my self clear you filthy vile creature?" |
"I-I." Ariala murmured. She didn't want to tell Dimitrius about seeing Emelaide. "You don't feel that?" She asked, the fear rising in her voice. Of course Emelaide would chill her. She shivered again, fighting back the tears. It was so unfair for Emelaide to blame her for Dimitrius loving her.
~-~-~ "The only vile creature here is Dimitrius." Marreck spat at the Winter Elf. "Who are you to be angry at me for trying to Ariala back where she belongs. In Elimlee!" He shot back. |
Dimitrius looked at her curiously, "Feel what, love?"
Noticing the tears in her eyes, he stopped and turned her towards him, "What's wrong. What happened?" Realization spreading across his face, he focused on the temperature around Ariala, "She didn't.... this isn't the normal cold.. is it.." Looking around, he searched the streets for Emelaide, "She was here.. wasn't she.. Emelaide did this.. Come on, climb onto my back. My cottage is just around the corner, it's closer than Aunt Lina's and we need to get you warm now," he said hurriedly, worry obviously shown in his voice as he knelt down so it was easier for Ariala to climb. ----------- Emelaide smirked, "She rejected you, didn't she; for Dimitrius." Her anger subsiding as amusement took over, she laughed, "Come, tell me your name, Spring Elf. I think we may have more in common than you and I could have ever imagined." |
Ariala climbed onto Dimitrius' back without protest. "I saw her." She whispered. "She saw us and she looked really mad." She said but she ducked her head into Dimitrius' back, shaking with shivers.
~-~-~ "Marreck." He said, his anger easing somewhat. "And you are?" |
Dimitrius' anger caused his jaw to tense and a scowl to form upon his face. Running as fast as he can, he shoved his door open and immediately layed Ariala on the couch beside the fireplace. Running to his room, he grabbed as many blankets as he could carry and ran back out to the living room. Placing each one doubled upon Ariala, he placed a kiss upon her forehead, "I'm so sorry Ari.. for everything.. I should have taken better care and noticed Emelaide was near so I could protect you from her.."
Turning, he placed logs in the hearth and lit them with a match, blowing at the small flames so they would grow in magnitude. Soon a large fire was burning in the fireplace, it's heat radiating towards Ariala, "The effects of her spell should wear off soon, love. Until then, this should help negate it and keep your blood from freezing." ----- "Emelaide," she said as she walked over to the elf and curtsied, "'tis a pleasure to meet you. And yes, I am the elf Dimitrius scorned to be with your precious Ariala. Now, what are your strengths in magic, Marreck. If we are to work together, we need to know each others strengths and weaknesses so that we may help each other. My strengths lie in temperature. I can decrease it and freeze the blood of those around me. On the other end, I can increase it and make their blood boil. I control it and bend it to my will, causing it to only effect those I choose." |
