"Are you sure?" Marreck asked. "If you'd rather I stay here then I will." He offered, kissing her forehead. "But Ariala will be upset if I'm not there." He sighed.

"I'll stop by afterwards." He promised, pulling her in for last kiss. "Take care of yourself." He smiled before turning to leave and return back to Cindalina's house.

"I like it." Ariala said. "But what those colors are is yet to be determined." She said. "Do ou have any ideas, Cindalina?" She asked the elder elf.

Emma Corrin 07-17-2009 07:23 PM

Emelaide smiled as she watched him leave, wishing he could have stayed, but knowing he couldn't.

Going back to her bed, Emelaide placed the comforters beside her bed. Taking the top one from the pile, she spread it across the bed. Rubbing her head, she got a bit woozy from all of the movement, her magic starting to fluctuate the temperature a bit. Slipping into her bed, Emelaide fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.

Cindalina pondered as she poured each of the girls tea. Sitting down, Cindalina spoke her ideas as she fixed her own tea, "Well, there are always the soft greens and the winter blues. But if you don't like that, you always have your flower colors that we can incorporate with the soft winter blues and creams.

say-i-love-you 07-17-2009 07:43 PM

"I like the idea of a light green and blues." Ariala said excitedly. "Dimitrius will have to agree of course." She added, sipping her tea. "And Erre can you make white roses for us?" She asked. "You're better at them then I am. Mine always come out a light shade of pink." She admitted.

"Of course." Erreminette said just as Marreck walked in the door.

"Hey guys, sorry for the wait." Marreck said before going over to Cindalina. "I'm sorry I didn't the chance to tell you before but its a pleasure to meet you." He said politely before taking a seat. "What did I miss?" He asked.

Emma Corrin 07-17-2009 08:35 PM

Cindalina chuckled, "Don't worry, child, I knew you meant it. It's understandable to forget when you hear the girl you love is ill. How is she, by the way?"

--

As they neared the Palace, Dimeria had woken up and clung to Dimitrius, constantly asking if she was in trouble and if that was why she was being sent home. Dimitrius reassured her as they walked to the Palace gates. When they arrived, Dimitrius couldn't believe what he had heard. Until the day of Dimitrius and Ariala's wedding, Dimeria would remain with Dimitrius. His mother had went into labor and was now giving birth to the child as they spoke. When the child is born, she and the child are to depart to their vacation home with the King. However, they did not wish Dimeria to accompany them at this time and hoped that Dimitrius would look after her while they were away.

Sighing, Dimitrius asked that they pass on his congratulations and that he wished the baby well and a speedy development. The baby was a couple months early, and he hoped there was nothing wrong with it; his mother couldn't handle losing a child completely.

Turning back, Dimitrius set Dimeria down and held her hand as she walked beside him, practically clinging to his leg, as he carried a suitcase full of her things in his other hand, "Looks like you're stuck with me for a couple of months, Ria."

Ria giggled, "I'm glad! I'll get to see Ariala more and make it up to her for making her angry with me!"

Sighing, Dimitrius gave up trying to convince Dimeria that Ariala wasn't angry with her - it was pointless for the time being, for only Ariala could convince her.

say-i-love-you 07-17-2009 10:03 PM

"She's alright." Marreck said with a smile. "She just needs her rest. Did I miss any important wedding talk?" He asked.

"We were just thinking of colors. What do you think of a light green and light blue? Like a color for both of our races?" Ariala asked before taking another sip of her tea. "You have a guy's opinion, do you think Dimitrius will like it?"

"I'm sure Dimitrius isn't going to be concentrated on the colors with you there. He's going to be googly eyes for you all night." Marreck laughed, causing Ariala's cheeks to become a bright red.

Emma Corrin 07-17-2009 10:08 PM

Cindalina smiled, "Marreck, child, will you be kind enough to bring soup to her for me when you leave? It should speed up her healing, as if the girl needs my help," she added with a chuckle.

"As for Dimitrius, you couldn't be more right Marreck. I'm sure he'll be happy with whatever you decide, Ariala."

say-i-love-you 07-17-2009 10:13 PM

"Of course I'll bring her soup. Whatever helps." Marreck said.

"Right." Ariala said quickly, deciding to ignore the compliments. "Of course there's still the matter of building the house. I know some carpenter's from Elimlee who will be glad to help. I'll have to set up a meeting to create the plans." She said hurriedly. Looking up at her friends she added, "I'm rambling. I've turned into one of the brides who ramble on and on about wedding plans. You should really stop me when I do that." She warned them.

"But you're so cute when you're rambling." Erreminette laughed, reaching over to pinch one of Ariala's cheeks.

Emma Corrin 07-17-2009 10:24 PM

Cindalina smiled a she stood up and began making the soup for Emelaide after pouring Marreck a cup of tea, "Ari, child, Erreminette is right. You really are adorable when you ramble. Besides, you should never wish that quirk to go away, Dimitrius loves it. As for the house, I know of a team who will help from here as well. They'll be able to help with marble aspect of the house. That is, assuming you wish to have marble in your home?"

It was then that Dimitrius and Dimeria came into the room, "We're back, are you all here?"

Dimeria ran through the house in search of the group and found them in the kitchen. Running to Cindalina, she through her arms around her legs and hugged her tight.

Cindalina chuckled, "We're in the kitchen Dimitrius!"

Dimitrius chuckled as he walked into the room and found Dimeria thightly hugging Cindalina's legs, "Ria, don't hurt the poor woman."

Cindalina waved him off as she bent down and placed a kiss upon Dimeria's cheek, "It's good to see you as well, my dear Ria. And you didn't hurt Auntie Lina, I promise. Would you like to help me make Emmie some soup?"

Dimeria eagerly nodded her head before running to Ariala and climbing onto her lap.

Dimitrius chuckled as he stood behind Ariala and placed a tender kiss upon her cheek, "Looks like we'll have a visitor until our Wedding Day. My mother's having her baby early, apparently, and doesn't wish Dimeria to be around. They're leaving for their vacation home shortly after the child is born and announced to the Kingdom, so they're leaving me in charge of Dimeria until the Wedding. Speaking of the wedding, what plans did I miss?"

say-i-love-you 07-17-2009 10:30 PM

"Its alright." Ariala said, snuggling Dimeria. "She's cute, how could we not keep her around?" She laughed. "You just missed color scheme ideas. We were thinking of a light green and a light bue. Green for Spring Elves and blue for Winter Elves." She said, knowing she was beginning to ramble but continued anyways. "Then I was saying how we need to meet with carpenters to make plans for the house and Cindalina suggested marble. What do you think?" She asked as she finally took a breath.

"Wow you really are one of those rambling brides." Marreck teased before turning to Cindalina. "Would you like any help with the soup?" He offered.

Emma Corrin 07-17-2009 11:54 PM

Dimitrius chuckled, "Aye, but it's fun to listen to her get flustered, she blushes and looked even more gorgeous than she already does," he added as he placed a tender kiss upon her upturned lips. "As for the colors; if you like them, I say go for it. I think the scheme would work well as long as the shades are similar. In the case of the marble, I think the fireplaces would be best in marble, they'll be able to hold out the cold temperatures like they do in our houses here. Aside from that, it will depend on what we wish to make stone and wood. We can then decide on the marble pieces after. What do you think about the marble? Do you like the idea of it?"

While Dimitrius sat down and said his little 'spiel' about the house, Cindalina nodded to Marreck and motioned him over ,"While they chatter on, you can cut up those herbs and spices over on the counter while I bring this milk-water to a boil."

say-i-love-you 07-18-2009 01:31 AM

"Sure thing." Marreck said, moving to the counter to begin to chop.

"I like the idea of marble. I was thinking of wooden floors though. Stone and marble wold make the floors to cold for me." She said. "Being affected by cold and such." She laughed, giving Dimitrius a wink.

Emma Corrin 07-18-2009 01:49 AM

Dimitrius chuckled, "Wooden flooring is fine for me. As long as it's not too dark, of course. I think the living room would look good with the dark wood though, to offset the tans. That is, if you like the idea of the living room being beiges, tans, or browns. Also, what do you think about marble counter-tops? If we had wooden counter-tops, we'd have to be careful what we put on it, and if things spilled, it would seep into the wood and stain it. And judging from my childhood, and watching Dimeria, any children of mine will end up spilling something at least once in their lifetime," he added with a chuckle as he poured himself some tea.

Cindalina smiled at Marreck, "When you're done chopping, dear, throw it all into the pot and add a dash of salt. I'll get the chicken broth from the icebox."

say-i-love-you 07-18-2009 01:57 AM

"Marble countertops sound good with me." Ariala said. "And I like the idea of tans and beiges in the living room. But for the kitchen I was thinking of a jade color for the walls." Ariala said. "I'm not sure what to use for the bedrooms. I mean our's can be decided before hand but should we wait for to decide colors for the others?" She asked.

"You could always paint yellow. That's gender neutral, and it can always be temporary." Erreminette suggested.

Marreck set down the knife and dropped the herbs and spices into the boiling milk-water and added a bit of salt before waiting for more instructions.

Emma Corrin 07-18-2009 02:10 AM

Dimitrius nodded, "Yellows will work for whatever rooms we build for our children, and brown or blues can be used for the spare bedrooms upstairs. As for the kitchen, I like the idea of jade. What about incorporating a sapphire color somewhere in the house? I've always liked the deep look of that color, what do you think? For our bedroom, however, I'm at a loss as to color. I think a darker color would work best, seeing as how neither of us like to get up too early. What about a forest color?"

Cindalina chuckled and motioned Marreck over to where she was cutting up vegetables for the soup, "Here, help me cut up some of Em's favorite vegetables while you tell me about yourself. I'd like to know more than just a name when it comes to the one going after my god-daughter," she teased with a smile.

say-i-love-you 07-18-2009 02:17 AM

"A deep green would be nice for the bedroom. We could always put a sapphire in the bathroom." Ariala suggested. "And I think that's about it for colors." Ariala said. "If you like sapphire in the bathroom and green in the bedroom that is." She said. "Of course there's always furniture problems.

"God-child?" Marreck asked as he began to chop up vegetables. "I didn't know you were her god-mother. As for me, I'm pretty average with the magic but I'm handy in the kitchen unlike some." He said, throwing a teasing grin over his shoulder to Ariala who stuck her tongue out in response.

Emma Corrin 07-18-2009 02:31 AM

Dimitrius nodded, "I like that idea. As for furniture, where do we even begin? We and least be happy we've gotten the counter-tops and fireplaces out of the way. If we look at my home, I have a lot of ice furniture. However, where we plan to live, we won't be able to have such things. I do, however, like the icy look of the tables. Yet at the same time, I like how your wooden furniture sort of gives the place a homey look and gives it a soft cozy feel. We could always go wooden frames with crystal tops to sort of incorporate both of our looks?"

Cindalina nodded, "Yes, her uncle and I have quite a thing when we were younger. However, after I went against the King and refused his hand, practically sending my family into exile, her uncle refused to speak to me for quite some time. He's a guard at the Palace, you see, so he didn't like me going against the King, even if it meant he could have me. But, his sister, Emelaide's mother, and I became quite the dearest of friends, and so when Emelaide was born, she asked me to be her God-Mother. But come come, don't change the subject to me. Tell me about your family, about your work, about your likes and dislikes, your hobbies. I want to know about you as a person, not as a magic-wielder. You could be the best plant grower in Elimlee, but if you're not the man I believe deserves my dearest Emelaide, it wouldn't matter one bit. Contrary-wise, even if you're the worst plant grower in Elimlee, if you love Emelaide as much as I believe you do, and I'm convinced you'll treat her right and won't hurt her, you'll have my blessing; which in itself doesn't amount to very much, but it will make Emelaide happy to know I approve," she added with a laugh.

say-i-love-you 07-18-2009 02:40 AM

"That sounds beautiful." Ariala pondered. "I know someone who could do that but the name. Ugh, its on the tip of my tongue." She sighed, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"Telean?" Erreminette offered.

"Yes, Telean! He does beautiful furniture. We should talk to him definetely. His work is one-of-a-kind and I absolutely adore it." Ariala said happily.

"I'm glad that your blessing doesn't depend on my magic." Marreck laughed. "But on a serious note, I'm a very simple elf. Or at least I try to be. I play frisbee with my other friends but I've spent most of my time growing up with these two." He said, nodding towards Erreminette and Ariala. "I like to swim and race, even if I always lose." He added, not noticing Erreminette's smirk. "As for dislikes there's not an entire amount of things that I don't like. Of course I hate people who hurt those that I love such as Adan and I'm not very fond of pineapples. They've just always tasted off to me. Yet when it comes to Emelaide you have my promise that I never want to hurt her. I love her very much and I hope that you can trust me wholeheartedly." He finished.

Emma Corrin 07-18-2009 02:58 AM

Dimitrius chuckled, "Then Telean it is, must we set up an appointment or may we go to him whenever?"

Cindalina smiled, "I trust you, and I believe every word you have spoken. I'm glad Emelaide found someone to treat her well and make her happy. Have you two figured a way to be with each other despite the climate differences? I know Ari here hasn't taking a liking to our could temperatures, which is understandable when you consider what she's been used to all her life. But what about you, child, will you be staying in Winterglade often?"

say-i-love-you 07-18-2009 03:03 AM

"He's gone away right now but he'll be home in a few days." Ariala said, happy that as far as their home went they had the basics laid out.

"I like it here in Winterglade. Its alot colder then I'm used to but being around Emelaide when her magic is out of control has kind of put things in perspective for me." Marreck smiled. "Its not so bad here if you get used to it."

Emma Corrin 07-18-2009 03:24 AM

Cindalina couldn't help but laugh, "Marreck, dear, I can see why Emelaide's falling in love with you. You'll truly look past anything that girl throws at you and love her more for it."

Dimitrius smiled at Ariala, "Perhaps when we speak with him we'll get more ideas for our furniture." Looking over at Cindalina, he couldn't help but laugh, "Auntie, Emelaide's temper and hay-wire magic isn't that hard to look past if you love her."

Cindalina nodded, "I know, child, it just must be harder for Marreck since he can't sustain her temperatures decreasing to dangerous levels like we can, so it must have been difficult to live with her during her illness a few days ago, not to mention it will be hard to live with her for the next couple of days now that she's ill again. I must say, I have a strong admiration for you, Marreck. You're quite the young man for caring for Emelaide through all of this, I don't know what she would have done without you."

say-i-love-you 07-19-2009 03:07 AM

"I don't mind." Marreck shrugged as he finished chopping the vegtables and put them into piles. "I just want to be with her, magic or not." He said simply. "Should I add these?" He asked Cindalina, afraid to add the vegetables to soon.

Emma Corrin 07-19-2009 03:22 AM

Cindalina nodded as she added broth to the soup as well as a few more spices, "Yes, they'll need to simmer for a few hours before they'll be soft enough to eat without Emelaide really having to chew much. Ria, child, would you like to come stir the pot?"

Ria nodded and slid off Ariala's lap, running over to Cindalina the moment her feet were on the ground. Lifting Ria up, Lina handed her a wooden spoon, "Now be careful not to splatter Marreck or yourself, alright dear?"

Ria nodded and began stirring the mixture with both hands as Cindalina inquired, "Have you put any thought into your future with Emelaide? I hear you two have been spending quite a bit of time together, do I hear wedding bells in the near future for you two as well?" she teased.

say-i-love-you 07-19-2009 03:25 AM

Marreck added the vegetables to the soup, his face a bright red. "I've, uhm, been putting some thought into our future." He said awkwardly, looking down at his feet. "Its too soon to tell if there will be a wedding for sure but I wouldn't rule it out." He said with a small smile though he had already visited Mr. Redion, the village jeweler.

Emma Corrin 07-19-2009 03:38 AM

Cindalina chuckled as she handed him more vegetables to cut up, "I don't think you have anything to worry about, dear. If I know Emelaide as well as I think I do, I believe you two will make the happiest couple, equaling only Ariala and Dimitrius in happiness."

Dimitrius chuckled, "Auntie, don't make the man run for the hills. If you keep teasing him as you are, he'll get cold feet and never ask Emelaide!"

say-i-love-you 07-19-2009 03:43 AM

Marreck began to chop the new vegetables. "I don't think you'll have to worry about me going anywhere. Not unless Emelaide wishes it. My feet are toasty warm." He reassured them, smiling.

Ariala stiffened slightly at the mention of cold feet. Get a grip... She chided herself mentally. It's over. You have Dimitrius. Just stop... Ariala worked to loosen her muscles and to unclench her hands which had been balled up into fists. Taking a sip of her tea, Ariala finally managed to relax and only hoped that no one would notice her momentary upset.
