"I love you as well." Ariala said, arching her neck to give Dimitrius a tender kiss before settling into his arms. "How much long before we have to return back home?" Ariala sighed, wanting to hold onto their honeymoon.

Dimitrius smiled as he gently ran his fingers through her hair, "We can stay as long as you wish. The driver and cottage are at our disposal."

Ariala smiled against Dimitrius's chest as the sun finished setting, laying the dark blanket of night over the field. Ariala bit her lip, fighting back a shiver in the night air. "Can we go back?" She asked, slightly embarressed that the cold had affected her while it never affected Dimitrius. "Its getting colder."

Dimitrius nodded as he stood up. Helping her up, he handed her the hot tea canister before wrapping the blanket around her and placing a kiss upon her fore head. "Of course, love. Drink the tea while we walk, it'll help keep you warm," he added with a smile as he put his arm around her and began leading her back to the cottage.

"Delicious." Ariala muttered as she took a sip of the tea and leaned into Dimitrius's side. Ariala placed a small kiss against the side of Dimitrius's neck and continued to sip her tea in silence.
"I'll make us a fire." Ariala said as they reached the cottage, hurrying to set logs in the fireplace and carefully lit them on fire. She moved back to the small sofa and curled up on the small couch. |
Dimitrius smiled over at Ariala as he brought the tea canister to the sink and began washing it, "Do you want anything to eat, love?"

"Yes." Ariala said as she moved towards the sink and sat on the counter to face Dimitrius. Carressing his cheek lightly, Ariala's face became unfocused for a moment, almost dream like. "I'm afraid I won't be able to prepare anything like the macaroni and cheese. I didn't practice very much beforehand and I'll just embarress myself if I try something fancy." She laughed as she hopped to the floor and looked curiously through the fridge.

Dimitrius chuckled, "Then how about I cook tonight? I'll make something I saw when I went down to earth, it's pretty popular down there. Auntie figured out how to replicate it," he added as he walked over to her and slipped his arms around her waist. After moving her hair to fall over the other should and placing a tender kiss upon Ariala's neck, Dimitrius lightly rested his chin on her shoulder as he surveyed the fridge, "How does that sound?"

"That sounds good." Ariala said, slipping her arms around his neck. Moving her hands to cup his face, Ariala brought her lips to his. "And what will I do?" She asked, placing another gentle kiss on his lips.

Dimitrius smiled and he returned her kisses. "If you want, cut up some peppers while I cut up the onions and garlic?"

"Alright." Ariala said happily, giving Dimitrius a last kiss before slipping out of his embrace. Moving to the fridge, Ariala got out to peppers. She found a cutting board and knife, setting all three things on the counter before beginning to cut. Halfway through the peppers, Ariala picked up humming again as she threw the seeds away and began to slice the peppers.

As he stood beside Ariala with a second set of her items and began cutting up the onions, Dimitrius couldn't keep a smile off his face as they worked side by side. He loved listening to her humming, loved the small moments like this that they shared together, and loved the way their life was headed. The only thing that was missing was the pitter-patter of little feet, but that would come in time. Dimitrius honestly didn't see how their life could get any better than it already was.

Ariala continued her humming, perfectly content with Dimitrius at her side. Her mind wandered as she hummed, wondering what thier children would look like. Beautiful, she was sure. She imagined a younger Dimitrius at her feet, a smile playing at her lips.
Finished with the peppers, Ariala turned to Dimitrius. "What's next, oh master of the kitchen?" Ariala teased lightly, piling the peppers onto one side of the cutting board. |
Dimitrius chuckled as he finished the onions and began work on the garlic, "The mozzerella and cheddar cheeses need to be grated, we'll need a lot of it. How many blocks do we have in the icebox?"

Ariala moved to the icebox, peering inside. "We have two bricks of each. Do you want me to use all of it or just one of each?" She asked, looking up at Dimitrius with her hand hovering over the cheeses.

Finishing the garlic and beginning to get the ingredients out for the dough, Dimitrius pondered. "Hmm, one of each should be enough. Let's get that shredded and then if we need more we'll get more," he added as he handed her the cheese grater and went to work preparing the pizza dough.

Ariala placed a bowl under the cheese grater to catch the shredded cheese and began grating the mozzerella. Beginning to hum again, Ariala let her thoughts roam again to the phantom children running around. She smiled at the idea, of a toddler that looked like Dimeria tugging at the hem of her dress.

Finishing mixing the ingredients, Dimitrius took out a large circular pan and buttered it down. Pouring the dough onto the pan and smooshing it with his fingers across the pan, Dimitrius glanced over at Ariala and couldn't help but let his mind wander to their kids. He wanted nothing more than a little boy or girl with Ariala's hair and beautiful eyes. He prayed none of his traits would show through. His traits were so dull in comparison.
Finishing the dough, Dimitrius went over to the icebox and took out the tomatoes. Placing them in a bowl after washing them, he began smashing them and making tomato sauce. |
"Voila." Ariala announced happily as she finished grating the cheese. Glancing over at Dimitrius, her triumphant grin turned into a confused one. "What are you doing?" She asked curiously, peeking over his shoulder and into the bowl. A bit of tomato juice leaped from under Dimitrius's hands and landed onto Ariala's cheek.
Ariala laughed as she brushed the tomato from her cheek. "I'll just wait to see then." She joked, moving a safe distance from the bowl. |
"Isn't this how you make tomato sauce?" he asked as he looked behind him at Ariala, now confused as well, "then you take out the chunks and add the herbs?"
Looking down at the bowl, he blushed, "Am I doing it wrong?" |
"I don't know how to make tomato sauce. I'm not even sure what we're making." Ariala laughed, giving Dimitrius a kiss on the cheek. "I'm following your lead, love." She said softly.

Dimitrius chuckled as he leaned down and placed a tender kiss upon her lips. "I'll try not to lead you astray," he murmured softly against her lips before placing another tender kiss upon her lips and returning back to the bowl, adding more tomatoes in to make more sauce, "Do you like mushrooms, love? I know we have those in there if you want to cut some up. I'm not sure what other veggies we have, though. Oh! can you check the pantry for potatoes? We'll need a few of those to make some fries."

"Sure." Ariala said, moving to the pantry and finding potatoes. "Here's some." She called back, lugging the 10 pound bag into the kitchen and placing it on the counter.
Making her way to the icebox, Ariala peered inside. "Oh, we do have mushrooms. I love them." She said happily as she made her way back to her cutting board and began slicing them. |
"Thanks," he said with a smile, taking out the large chunks of tomato and adding the herbs and spices to the bowl. Dimitrius then mixed it all together and poured it over the dough. Spreading it out evenly, he went to work on peeling and cleaning the potatoes, "Do we happen to have a deep fryer?"

"Uhm, that would be a negative." Ariala said. "But you could always heat oil in a large pot ad do it that way." She suggested as she continued to slice the mushrooms.
