"That works," he said with a chuckle as he stopped with the potatoes and dug around for a large pot. Placing it on the stove, he poured vegetable oil into it and let it come to a boil. Placing a tender kiss upon Ariala's forehead, he thanked her, "You're pretty smart, you know that? I wouldn't have thought about doing it that way."
Returning to the potatoes, Dimitrius cut them up into semi-thick slices. |
"Well, I like to think I'm smart." Ariala laughed, finished with the mushrooms. She moved to sit on the counter, turning to face Dimitrius as she rested her head against the cupborad. "So what exactly are we making?"

Dimitrius smiled as he put the potatoes aside and moved over to the pizza pan, spreading the cheese nice and thick before putting parmesan cheese, a bit of oregano, and the other toppings onto it, "It's called a pizza. Apparently humans love the stuff. I've never had it before, but Auntie Lina says it's not that bad. I figured since we've got nothing better to eat, why not try it?"

"Hm. Pizza." She said, letting the word roll off of her tongue. "Never heard of it." She shrugged lightly. "But I trust Cindalina's judgement so its worth a shot." She smiled as she hopped off the counter and began clearing dishes and washing down the counters.

Placing it in the oven, Dimitrius began helping Ariala to clean up their mess, "It's from Italy down on earth. Auntie says it smells delicious while it's cooking, but we must wait twenty minutes for the pizza to be cooked inside and out. I think it'll be fun to try it. And if it turns out rather well, it'll be a nice family dinner we can have in the future," he added as he placed a tender kiss upon her cheek.

"Sounds about right." Ariala smiled as they finished cleaning. Moving to the sink, Ariala began washing the dishes. She stared down at the many soap bubbles, smilng at the way Dimitirus had mentioned a family. I'm a married woman and I still feel like a child... Ariala pondered with a smile.

Once he'd finished cleaning, Dimitrius cleaned his hands before slipping them around Ariala's waist. Placing soft, tender kisses upon her neck, his lips trailing from the base to her jaw and back again, Dimitrius whispered between kisses, "I love you Ariala Cordei, and I'm very glad we decided to get married yesterday."

"As am I." Ariala said with a smile, drying her hands on a towel before turning to face Dimitrius. Reaching to put her hands around his neck, Ariala brought Dimitrius's face to her's to give him a tender kiss. "I love you." She whispered between kisses, her lips never leaving Dimitrius's.

Smiling against her lips, Dimitrius slightly leaned against her as he softly caressed her back and waist as they kissed.

Ariala pressed her body against his, her fingers tracing patterns against his neck. Her lips moved passionately against Dimitrius's before leaving trails to his jaw and neck before returning back to his lips. Her nerves seem to be set on fire as Dimitrius kissed her, electric sparks running all the way to her toes.

Forcing his lips to leave Ariala's, Dimitrius placed a number of kisses on each side of her neck as he whispered softly, "Ari.. if we're not careful, we'll end up having a repeat of this morning.."

Ariala smiled as she remembered that morning, how Dimitrius's kisses had felt against her skin...
"Right." Ariala laughed, gently pushing Dimitrius away. Placing another tender kiss on Dimitrius's cheek, Ariala leaned back against the sink. She took his hand and led him to the living room. Pulling Dimitrius to sit beside her, Ariala curled against his side. "Better?" She asked, looking up at him. |
Placing a tender kiss upon her forehead, Dimitrius chuckled, "I never said I would have minded, love. I just don't want Auntie's kitchen to catch on fire, she'd never let us come back," he added with a smile as he placed a tender kiss upon her lips and softly traced small designs upon her side.

Ariala laughed, rolling her eyes, though she returned his kisses. "I'm sure she wouldn't have minded that much if she recieved a great-niece or nephew out of the deal." She smiled between kisses, sliding one of her hands into Dimitrius's hair as she deepened the kiss.

Dimitrius couldn't help but smile as he returned her kisses and whispered, "Hmmm, perhaps we'll give her her wish sooner than she hoped."

"And when the pizza burns?" Ariala laughed as the scent of pizza filled the living room. Ariala knew she should move out form under her grasp but her fingers locked around Dimitrius's body. Giving him a long kiss, Ariala sighed. "Its going to burn." She stated, her nose wrinkling as she slipped out of Dimitrius's embrace.

Dimitrius chuckled as he followed her out into the kitchen and teased, "Who says we have to eat it now?" As he spoke, however, his stomach began to growl. Laughing, Dimitrius began getting down plates and cups, "I guess that answers that question!"

Ariala pulled out a pair of pot holders, opening the oven and pulling out the pizza pan. "It smells delicious." She said with a smile as she placed it on top of the stove and shut off the oven.

As a whiff of the pizza drifted over to the icebox, Dimitrius' mouth began to water a bit, "That does smell delicious! Let's hope it tastes as good as it smells. What would you like to drink, love?" he asked over his shoulder as he grabbed some raspberry ice tea for himself.

"Juice is fine with me." Ariala said as she picked up a knife and began to cute the pizza into slices before bringing it over to the table as well as the fries. "If I keep eating this well you'll have to roll me out of here." Ariala teased, giving Dimitrius a wink.

Dimitrius chuckled as he teased while pouring the juice into each cup, "Better to be able to eat than to starve, no?"
Setting the juice jug onto the table, Dimitrius grabbed a slice of pizza and put some fries onto his plate. Holding the slice of pizza, Dimitrius looked over at Ariala, "On the count of three we'll both try it, alright?" |
"Alright." Ariala giggled, picking up her own piece. "One, two three." She counted before taking a bite of her pizza. It tasted as good as it had smelled, she realized quickly. It wasn't long before she was taking a second bite.

Dimitrius took a bite of the pizza. It was incredible! It had a bit too many mushrooms, for he wasn't too fond of them, but other than that it was superb! Looking over at Ariala, he saw that she was taking another bite and grinned. Setting his slice down, Dimitrius teased with a wicked grin, "Guess it looks like we know whose cooking's the best, don't we."

"So far." Ariala laughed after finishing her bite and stuck her tongue out at Dimitrius. "I'm getting better so you should watch out." She warned before taking another bite of her pizza.

Dimitrius he teased as he popped a fry into his mouth, "When you can make a pizza, I'll start worrying."
