Ariala sighed as he pulled her arms around Dimitrius and rested her forehead against his chest. "I want to stay with you." She said quietly. "I love it here." She added softly, not looking Dimitrius in the eyes. "I know we have to leave but I wish we could stay."
Caressing her head softly with his palm, Dimitrius placed a tender kiss upon her scalp and whispered softly, "I know, my love, I love being here with you as well. Besides, dear, I never said we wouldn't come back."
Cupping her chin, Dimitrius gently tilted her face upwards and placed a tender kiss upon her lips, "It's only a couple of hours away. I'm sure Auntie will let us come here anytime we wish. I just.. I don't want you missing your lessons so much, your Master will be furious if you keep missing them without warning and won't allow you to participate in the Spring Events. The next few days you have off, we'll come out here again, alright?" |
"Alright." Ariala said happily, wrapping her arms around DImitrius's neck and bringing him down for a tender kiss. "I love you, Dimitrius." She whispered between kisses.
"I love you too Ariala," Dimitrius whispered back between kisses as his hands slid to the small of her back and pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. Giving her once last kiss, Dimitrius rested his forehead against hers as he took her hands into his on and laced their fingers together, "What say you we explore a bit before we leave, hm? Then when we come back we'll know right where our favorite places are."
"Right. Exploring." Ariala laughed as she trailed on through the woods, pulling Dimitrius with her. "I can't believe how gorgeous it is here." Ariala laughed as they walked. "We'll have to bring the children here when we have a family." She said dreamily, picturing small children running around the large trees and overgrown ferns.
Dimitrius nodded in agreement, "Aye. It'd be a lovely place to stay. If it weren't so far away from your lessons and if it weren't so cold for you, I'd suggest buying the place from Auntie and simply adding onto it to suit our needs," he mused as they walked through the tall snow covered trees.
"Do you think she'd let us?" Ariala asked. "I mean, its beautiful here. Would she really want to sell it?" She asked as the traveled into the cool forest. Ariala felt a chill against her face as they made their way deeper in the forest.
"Do you hear that?" Ariala asked as they walked, turning off the path and bending around a large tree. "Look." She said excitedly as she looked out of the new view. A small waterfall spread into a large pond. "Its like the waterfall back home." She said quietly as she moved forward, bringing Dimitrius with her. Crouching over the side of the pond, Ariala looked down into the clear water. "Oh." She said softly as she watched the coral reef below her, colorful fish swimming to and fro between large coral that was shades of nearly every color. |
Crouching down beside her, Dimitrius watched the fish as he whispered, "She might. Are you sure this place is alright? I mean, we'd have to fix it up a bit and make it our own, not to mention add a few rooms or perhaps an upstairs to the build.. But Ari, if your sure you want it, and you're sure it won't be too far away or too cold, I'll ask Auntie when we return. And once it's ours, you can make some of it look like Elimlee to keep a piece of it with you while we're out here," he added as he placed a tender kiss upon the hand he held.
Ariala smiled as she pulled Dimitrius closer to her, sitting on the smooth ground and dipping her feet into the cool water. She water rippled under her feet, causing the fish to scurry away from her. Holding her feet completely still, Ariala waited patiently for the fish to come out from their hiding places and swarmed around her feet as if nothing had disturbed him.
"I think it'd be perfect to have a place out here." Ariala said. "Its so remote and its absolutely perfect." |
Still holding her hand, Dimitrius leaned back in the grass and looked up a the bright afternoon sky. Smiling, he gave Ariala's hand a gentle squeeze as he caressed the smooth skin with his thumb and spoke softly, "I suppose we'd best cancel the elves we've asked to build the house then, hm? It's a good thing we didn't order everything yet. This way we need only purchase what we need, since we won't have to furnish the entire house."
"It'll be a long commute." Ariala sighed. "But I still love it here." She smiled as she watched the fish swirl around her feet.
Looking over at Ariala, Dimitrius thought of an idea, "Ari, what say you we make the house on the border our main house. We can come here on vacations and our two off seasons. We'll still buy it from Auntie, of course, but this way we both aren't late for lessons, yet we still have this beautiful cottage to come to when we wish. How does that sound?"
Ariala smiled, pulling her feet out of the pond and watching the fish scurry away to their homes. Moving to sit over Dimitrius, her knees on either side of his hips, Ariala leaned down to give him a tender kiss. "It sounds perfect." She murmured against his lips.
One hand caressing her cheek, the other resting upon her thigh, Dimitrius whispered softly against her lips, "I thought you might like the idea better than just moving all the way out here. It's a shame I hadn't thought of that to begin with, would have prevented that frown I saw on your lips earlier," he added as he leaned into her lips and placed a tender kiss upon them.
Ariala smiled against Dimitrius's lips as they kissed. Her hands curled as she wrapped her fingers into his shirt. Ariala moved to Dimitrius's side, reaching an arm over his stomach and resting her head next to his. "I'll miss it here." She smiled as she stretched to give him a tender kiss.
Dimitrius smiled as he gently ran his fingers through her hair and returned her kiss before speaking softly, "I as well. But remember, I promised we'd come back the first few days you have off to explore some more, as long as Auntie isn't needing it, so it won't be long before we're back behind the cool stone walls once more and making odd dishes such as pizza."
"And I can blow your mind with mastery cooking skills." Ariala grinned as she placed a small kiss on his lips. Staring up at the brilliant sky, Ariala rested her head against Dimitrius's chest. "What do you think for children's names?" She asked as her hand rested protectively over her stomach.
Dimitrius smiled as he placed a tender kiss upon her scalp, "I look forwards to your cooking much more than you realize. As for children's names, I've always liked Rose or Lilly for a girl. For a boy, I've always liked Troy or Julius. What about you, love? What names do you like?"
"I like any name of a flower for a girl." Ariala smiled up at the sky. "I've never thought about boy names though. In fact I've never really put alot of thought into baby names." Ariala laughed. "But now, I mean, I'm not sure when we'll have little kids running around. I didn't think they should go nameless."
Smiling, Dimitrius caressed Ariala's stomach as he whispered against her shoulder, "If we're lucky, my love, we'll have children who are as beautiful as their mother sooner than we could ever have imagined."
Placing a tender kiss upon her neck, Dimitrius rested his head next to hers, his cheek gently resting upon her scalp as they happily laid there basking in the afternoon sun simply watching the clouds roll by in the blue sky above. |
Ariala entwined Dimitrius's fingers that laid across her stomach into her own fingers, laying their hands together on her stomach. "I wonder what it will be like to be a mother." Ariala pondered aloud as they watched the sky.
Dimitrius smiled as he gently caressed her fingers with his thumb, "You needn't worry, I know you'll be a wonderful mother. You just... have this way about you.. I don't know how to describe it.. Take Ria, for instance. That girl only knew you for two minutes and she already didn't want to leave your side. I know our children, when we have them, will be drawn to you just the same and will love you their entire lives."
"The sun is starting to set." Ariala said quietly as she sat up. "We should get back before dark. I'm not good with avoiding roots and things if I can't see them." She laughed as she pulled Dimitrius up with her as she stood. Putting her arms around his waist, Ariala placed a tender kiss on Dimitrius's lips before linking hands with him and leading him away from the small pond and towards the stone cottage.
"Ari... did I say something to upset you?" Dimitrius inquired softly as he followed her lead out of the forest.
"No." Ariala said, confused. "Why would you think that?" She asked as they neared the outside of the forest.
