"You." Marreck laughed as he inched ahead of her. Smiling confidently as they crossed the border, Marreck remained in the lead by only hair as they entered the snow covered Winterglade.
~~~ Ariala smiled before pulling away and leaning against the back of her chair. "I should be getting back to Elimlee." Ariala said to the room of Winter Elves. "I meant to see Erreminette today. She still doesn't know that I'm expecting and I want to catch up with her." She said as she stood, straightening her hat. "It was good to see you again Cindalina." She said, wrapping her arms around the elder elf. Turning back to Dimitrius, Ariala placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. "When are you coming back, love? Or are you staying in Winterglade tonight?" She asked. |
"Oh no you don't," whispered Emelaide as she kept the air around her cool so she didn't over heat from running so hard. Picking up her speed, Emelaide darted past him as they neared the village.
- "I'll come back to Elimlee tonight if ye wish. I just have to get Dimeria's things set up in the house here. I don't think you want Dimeria moving in with you, after all. But she'll be staying with us if I do stay the night," he added with a chuckle as he took the cookies out of Dimeria's reach, feeling she had enough after she took her fifteenth, and put her glass of milk in front of her. "Do you want me to start Dinner? Or would you rather us stay here." |
Marreck sighed as he continued to run as fast as possible as they neared Emelaide's door. Nearly jumping as he neared Emelaide's door, Marreck pressed his hand against the door, unsure if Emelaide had beaten him as he sunk to the doorstep of her home with his hand still pressed against the ice door.
~~~ "Of course I don't mind Dimeria moving in with us. If that's alright with Cindalina." She said, looking over to the elder elf. "And Dimeria of course." She added, petting Dimeria's hair gently. |
Sinking down beside Marreck, Emelaide leaned back against the door and looked at Marreck with a laugh, "Tie. But I won for most of the race, so over all I win," she added with a wink as she tried to catch her breath.
- Cindalina chuckled as Dimeria shook her head yes in excitement, "Of course, love. She was left in Dimitrius' care, after all." "But will your parents approve if we move into their house? I don't want to upset them.. But if we're going to be spending so much time there, and you wish us to move in and it's alright with your parents, I'll put our house here on the market and we'll live in Elimlee until the house is built," added Dimitrius softly. |
"If you say so, love." Marreck laughed as he pushed himself off the ground before extending a hand to Emelaide.
~~~ "I just thought that it'd be easier to use my home in Elimlee considering I'll have my lessons and my parents won't be using the house until the end of Spring and our home will be finished by then." Ariala said. "I thought it'd be easier, if you want to that is." She added. |
Emelaide grinned as she took his hand and stood up, standing on her toes to place a tender kiss upon his lips, "I do say so." Linking their fingers together, Emelaide led him into the house.
"Mother? Father? Marreck and I are back!" "Lorcale smiled as he looked up from his newspaper and Marie set the table, "G'afternoon, darling. How did meeting Marreck's family go?" "It was wonderful, I absolutely adore his mother. And, we have some news," she added excitedly as she led Marreck over to her parents, "We bought a house!" - "Aye, I agree love," Dimitrius nodded, "I'll put the house up for sale as soon as we're all settled. Do you wish for me to wait until the guest room is remodeled, or would you like me to start moving in while you're with Erre?" |
Marreck felt his stomach tense with knots at Emelaide's announcement, unsure of how her parent's were going to react. "We thought that we should have a house to go home to after the wedding and I saw a cozy home in Elimlee so I showed it to Emelaide and well, now its ours." He explained, the nerves he should've felt earlier gathering in his stomach.
~~~ "You can't start moving in while I'm there if you like and I'll help finish afterwards." Ariala said, giving his cheek a quick kiss. "Love you." She whispered softly before moving to the door. After buttoning her coat, Ariala ran for Elimlee to see her best friend. |
"Congratulations," her parents said simply with smiles on their faces.
As Marie placed the sandwiches on the table for her and Lorcale, she inquired, "Would you like anything to eat?" "No, thank you," said Emelaide, "Are you angry with me for moving so soon?" "Not at all, dearest, we're happy for you! We knew you'd have to leave us once you were married, we're just a little surprised you found a house so quickly, and that it's all the way in Elimlee. However, with your talent, it doesn't surprise me you chose to live there," added Lorcale with a small smile at the couple. "When are you to move, dearest?" asked Marie before taking a small bite of her sandwich. - "Well, Ria my dear sister, shall we go pack up what's ours in the house?" asked Dimitrius as he took Ria to the sink and set her on the counter so he could clean off the milk and cookie mess upon her face and hands. Cindalina smiled, "If you need to store any furniture, I have a little room in the shed outback. Just leave them uncovered when you place sheets over everything and I'll have someone fetch them, alright?" Nodding, Dimitrius picked up Dimeria and headed over to finish his tea, "Thank you Auntie, I appreciate that." "O' course love, anything for you two," said Cindalina warmly. |
"We were planning on moving in today." Marreck said quietly. "If that's alright with you of course." He added.
~~~ Ariala ran to her own house first to change back into Elimlee clothing before she ran to Erreminette's. Traditionally, Ariala slipped through Erreminette's window before the two girls sat on her bed. Ariala excitedly told Erreminette of her pregnancy as the girls lost track of the time as they talked, catching up on the last few weeks since Ariala's unexpected relationship with Dimitrius. |
Lorcale nodded, "Aye, I figured as much. Do you need any help, love?"
"No, thank you Father, but it's not to much. We'll manage. Are you sure you aren't angry?" asked Emelaide hesitantly. "Yes, yes, of course we're not angry. Now go on, run along and start packing, you have a lot to get done if you plan on moving in today," said Marie warmly. "Just promise us you'll visit? It won't be the same once you're gone," said Lorcale softly. "We want you to be happy, Emelaide, but please don't forget about us while in Elimlee," added Marie with a small smile. Emelaide felt tears form in her eyes as she ran to her parents and hugged them tight in turn, "Don't worry, we'll visit I promise. How could I ever forget my parents? I love you both." - As Dimitrius headed out the door with Dimeria, he took her bag of things, including a few of her toys, and sent them on a wind to Ariala's house, "We'll see you soon, Auntie." Placing a kiss on each of their cheeks, Cindalina smiled, "Of course. Don't overwork yourself, alright? If you need any help, just send over Mo and I'll have a few of the boys help you." Dimitrius nodded, "Thanks Auntie, for everything." With that, he took off at a walk to his home to begin the packing. |
Marreck smiled as he watched Emelaide with her parents. He felt saddened that he was taking her from her but he couldn't bring himself to regret his decision. He wanted Emelaide more then he wanted his magic.
Placing a hand on her lower back, Marreck nodded a thank you to her parents before leading Emelaide to her room. "Do you have any suitcases, love?" He asked. |
Wiping her eyes with a small smile, Emelaide nodded, "Aye, they're in the closet. I have one under my bed though, for packing up my small things like pictures and toiletries and the small gifts I received when I was a child."
Digging out said small bag, Emelaide dusted it off and began packing everything carefully. When she reached the pictures, Emelaide let her finger trace the ice frames, "I suppose ice framing won't do in Elimlee, will it." |
Marreck brought the suitcases out of the closet and set them onto the bed before walking over to Emelaide. Marreck put his arms around Emelaide from the side, pressing his lips against her temple softly. "Are you regretting this?" He asked quietly. "We don't have to move in right away. I'll wait for you." He said, feeling as if he was pushign her to move in with him before she was ready.
|
Emelaide blushed as she shook her head and turned towards him, "Not at all! Is that how it seems? Please don't think that Marreck! It'll just be strange not being in my own room.. But as long as you're there with me, I can mange anything," she added with a smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck and place a long, tender kiss upon his lips, "I love you, Marreck, and I want to move into our house, honest."
|
Marreck smiled as he gave Emelaide a small kiss. "I love you to." He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "I was just afraid that you'd rather stay here." He said as he rested his forehead against Emelaide's.
|
Emelaide shook her head, causing her nose to brush lightly against his, "No, not at all. I don't like sleeping alone now that you've stayed over so much. I like it much better when you're there sleeping beside me and holding me throughout the night. I like it that your the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning, and the last thing I see before I fall asleep. I like being able to snuggle close to you and know that everything's fine, even when I've had a horrible dream and I'm scared out of my whits. I like knowing you're there if I need you. I don't wish to stay here now that we have a place of our own. I want to be with you," she added before placing another long, tender kiss upon his lips.
|
Marreck wrapped his arms tighter around Emelaide as he returned her kisses eagerly, nearly lifting her off the floor in the process. She'd told him the exact thing that he needed to hear. That she wanted him, or better that she needed him. "I love you, Em." Marreck said softly before setting her back on her two feet. "And no, ice frames won't be good in Elimlee but I'll make you wooden frames." He said as he rested his forehead against her's.
|
"Same designs and all?" she teased as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "I look forward to see whatever frames you make, dearest. Now, if you don't quit keeping me distracted, we'll never get this place packed and ready to move," she teased before placing a tender kiss upon his lips, "But, because I love you so much, you won't find me complaining."
|
"You're right." Marreck smiled as he gave her a last kiss before moving to her dresser and bringing out clothes to put in the suitcases on her bed.
|
Taking the pictures out of the frames, Emelaide placed the photographs inside of the book beside her bed and packed them away. Getting her fireplace mantel cleared off, aside from the empty ice frames, Emelaide went to her bookcase and began packing her books and crystal frames. Smiling at Marreck as she handed him the crystal frames to pack with her clothes, "So they don't break. They're crystal, not ice, so they'll be able to sustain the weather in Elimlee," she added before returning to her bookcase.
|
Marreck smiled as he tucked the frames into the clothes before moving back to Emelaide's dresser to empty them of his clothes. Opening one of the bottom drawers, Marreck felt his face become hot from embaressment as he looked at Emelaide's intimates. Closing the drawer quickly, Marreck moved on to her closet to fold the dresses and such hanging up.
|
"The dresser finished?" asked Emelaide as she finished the bookcase and cleared off her nightstand, "Should we bring any of the furniture or the bed-set? Or is everything in the house fine."
|
"There's a bottom drawer that I thought you might want to clean out." Marreck stammered as he blushed and pointed at the drawer with Emelaide's intimates, not daring to look in her eyes.
|
Emelaide laughed as she walked over to Marreck and placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "Dearest, you've seen me in my undergarments, you've held me in them, you've kissed me in them. I've changed in front of you, what's there to be embarrassed about?" she teased with another tender kiss before heading over to her dresser and packing the last bit of clothing she had.
|
"I didn't think I should touch them." Marreck mumbled quietly as he closed Emelaide's suitcases and stood them up on the floor.
"Is there anything else that you want to bring?" He asked Emelaide, the blush almost fully gone from his cheeks. |
