That's my problem. I love this avy as I never play with layers normally. D: But when I add any yellow it takes out the other colours. I'm pleased that it got a nine in the rate thread, when it really only deserves a seven. XD |
xD If it was me personally, I'd try to nix the yellow as it's only at the head. Also, the purple ribbon on the skirt is much deeper than the rest. But that's my nitpicking. My avi is currently far from balanced either. Kinda just not caring? XD

The ribbon the flowers on the hat? Short of that, it's a matter of messing with the hair color I think.

Lol, I've spent two hours putzing to try and get an avi right before. It's a royal pain in the ass. xD;;; That's why I just kind of gave up. My inventory feels limited, as ridiculous as that sounds. I keep making shit that looks the same.

xD; I just get bored with it I suppose. It looks like I have a lot of items, but when you consider how many of each color I start wind up making similar avis because of the color combinations and all.

*nodnod* Yeah, this is the first we've even touched it since about May...? *head/desk* We only started up again because all our rps come in scenes. Visions, moments, or dreams that come to me and demand to be written out. Lately I've been plagued with sad dreams (also with a level of sexuality to them that comes with the double-edged sword of our cats). For the last week+ I've rolled out of bed EVERY NIGHT to jot down sketches of images that kept flashing in my eyes, excerpts that suddenly hit on me, or hell, I even storyboarded one moment because it was so vivid and painful the other night ~_~. |

Eh, it's more just the thought process, really. I tend to do damn near flow charting with 'em if I really get into it xD;; I'll sit there with an idea or phrase and write it at the top of the paper, and I'll do a row of five or six things that could create that composition. From there I'll pick the one I like the most and start to refine it by trying it with different styles, different viewpoints, different schools of art, different media etc. It can help, you just have to know how to use it to your advantage.

Eh, I don't think so. They helped me grow at my own pace. No one pushed super hard for me to do detailed bg, it was careful insistence. |
