Anniversary Celebration Ideas?

So I just realized that my first wedding anniversary is only less than TWO WEEKS away! :o
and I have no idea what we could do, how to celebrate..

I would love to hear how you have celebrated your anniversaries with your significant other, and possibly get some ideas out of them.. ^^;
I have never actually celebrated an anniversary with him, but I think for our first
wedding anniversary it would be nice to do something special..

(we don't have any money at all. and I mean it. >.> so no fancy restaurant for us..)

No money and you need an idea for a good anniversary event. Well...

How did you meet? Maybe you could do a little recreate of what happened?! Try to wear something similar to what you may have been wearing?

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Bring out the souviners and place them around and have a little honeymoon scene with him!

If you have a favorite thing to do with him, even if it's just playing video games... make it extra special! You can get free paper boxes at Kinko's and printing places. Get a box put the video game system in the box and put a box on it. <3
-> You : "SURPRISE! We are going to play video games and eat junk food all night long!"

Just some random thoughts...

I like the honeymoon idea, except that we never did have one.. xP no money for such luxury. maybe in the future.

thanks for the tips though ^^

A nice dinner at home is always the way to go and if you don't usually share in the cooking duties cooking a nice meal together can be fun! especially if you have the day off together and can try a new recipe like lasagna or making a stuffed chicken

My guy and I just celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary. We went to the pretty and touristy area about 2 hours where we live. We went wine tasting (8.00 each, not too pricey), and went hiking around what are suppose to be magical "vortex" areas. I don't know about the vortex part, but we had a blast hiking around (note....bring extra sunblock if you go hiking. I got hella burnt and I had spf 30 on. We did go out for a nice dinner, and also ate the top of our wedding cake. It was just a weekend trip, not too pricey, but nice.

My boy and I celebrated our one-year with snuggles and some home made treats. You don't need money to do anything; go for a walk in the evening at a park or curl up with a nice movie together. Just make sure it's only YOU TWO and no one else. It's *your* day. :3

Since you sound like us with the lack-of-money.

My boyfriend and I were forced into having a "party" for our anniversary. No one seemed to understand that we didn't even want it. D: So yeah, our anniversary was not very pleasant for me at all. Spending five hours feeling like crap in a house full of people who hate me is not fun.
We couldn't spend the actual day together, because he had to work. D:

In a sad attempt to be helpful:
Don't let your family attempt to celebrate your anniversary for you. xD
