Allie looked at him and smiled. She led him to the couch and told him he could sit down. She then pointed to a black covered book on the table. "those are some of my pictures you can look at.. I will be right back" She said as she went into the bedroom. She took a deep breath and grabbed a backpack. She put some of her jewerly, make-up, some girl things and her clothes. She walked back out and went to the kitchen "would you like a drink?"
Vincent smiled, nodded, then sat down on the couch. As he waited for her, he picked up the book from on the table and started looking at the pictures. When se walked out, he looked up. "Water, please." he replied, then returned to looking at the pictures.
Allie hit herself in the forehead. He didn't drink. She could cut her finger and put her blood in a cup for him. She shivered at the weirdness to that. She then just took the cup over to him and sat down close to him, handing him the cup. She pointed to a picture he passed "this one was published in the newspaper.. I have a copy around here somewhere" she said with a smile.
Vincent smiled softly, looking at the picture, his fingers running over the page. "Your really good.." he said, impressed. He turned to her as she sat, smiling. "Do you have a studio or something where you hang them up?"
Allie looked at him blushing softly. "yea, come on.." She stood up taking his hand and leading him into the spare room. One had a light above it and the other didn't. She led him into the room with the light overhead. It was her dark room. There were 3 rows of tables with trays and machines on them. She led him in and closed the door. She then pushed the switch on the wall. "this is red mode.." there was only a small red light showing. She flipped the switch again, leading to total darkness. "this is the dark room mode.." most everything except developing is done in this mode. She leaned in and kissed him softly before hitting the light for the red mode and then finally the normal lights again.
Vincent smiled, loving her blush. He got up and followed her, curious about the room. He was confused by the machines in the trays. The lights also seemed a bit odd, but eh figured they were probably that way for a reason. When it got dark, he stood still because he couldn't see, surprised when Allie suddenly kissed him. He smiled softly, then kissed her back.
Allie smiled at his confused look. "the dark room.. is where you develop your own pictures.. when you take the film out of the camera it had to be complete darkness, so the light doesn't ruin your film." She paused and grabbed her camera, shutting the lights. She was going to do it anyway.. she figured now would be a good time.
She took him and led him to the table in the dark. She held his hands and used his hands to take the film slowly out of the camera. "After the film is out.. you then put it around this reel.." She took his hands leading the film on the reel. "after that's done.. you put it in the canister.." She led him to put the reel into the canister and closed the lid. "now we can turn on the red light.." She let go of him for a moment and turned on the red light. She turned back to him and smiled. "then we pour the chemicals into the canister and shake em up." She showed him what to pour in and then she shook it. She began to dance while she shook it. Blushing she turned back to him. "Now we can look at the negatives.. still in red light" She led him to the table with the machines as she took out the negatives and placed them on the special light table. "you find the one you want and put it in the enlarger..." She giggled as she saw the one of Vincent in the car when they first met. It did turn out. There were tons of other various pictures. She picked the one of him. The machine went to work, making noise. She turned to him, pushed him to the wall and kissed him, sucking on his bottom lip. The machine stopped and she did as well. She giggled softly, going back to the machine. There was a faint outline of the picture, she then took the paper and his arm, leading him to another table. She dipped the paper in the first bin. During the ten minutes she had to wait, she kissed him passionately. She then moved it to the next bin and so on. Four bins later the picture was complete and hanging with pins. |
Vincent listened to her, nodding and following her through the steps. hen she stopped to push him against the wall and kiss him, he smiled softly into the kiss, gently sucking on her upper lip. He then followed her again as she pulled away when the machine was done, surprised. Surprised that he picture of him seemed to have turned out. During the next break, he smiled, pulling her close to him as they kissed, unwillingly letting her go when the next step came. When the whole process was done, he smiled, looking at the picture of him. He hadn't seen himself in a long time... he didn't think about just taking a picture. Hooking an arm around Allie, he gently kissed her. "Thank you."
Allie smiled at him and kissed him back. "it's yours.." She turned on the light again, wincing a bit, going to the closet. She pulled out a black frame and a silver sharpie. She put the picture in the frame and the sharpie and signed it 'I love you, Allie' She then kissed it and her lipstick appeared gold. She then gave him the frame with a smile. "your welcome.." she said with a grin. "your very handsome, look at those lips.." she said softly as she kissed him again.
Vincent smiled, laughing softly as she kissed the picture. He would definitely have to hang that up somewhere. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you, love." he said softly, smiling, then kissing her neck. "You may think I'm handsome, but you're... you're just amazingly beautiful.."
Derien wrapped his arms around Victoria, and rested his chin on her head. He loved the way her hands felt on her back. But once Victoria mentioned becoming a vampire, Derien's arms dropped. "You... WHAT?! Victoria, you can't just offer something like that! You would become a monster just so that I wouldn't have to suffer a little?!" he exclaimed. Then, Derien calmed down, and wrapped his arms around Victoria again. "You really are a silly girl, Victoria." Vincent held her tight, never wanting to let go. He'd find a way around the temptation. He'd just have to feed more before he saw you. Maybe a glass of O positive on the coffee table...
As for the matter of age, Derien knew that for now the two looked about the same age, and he'd cross the bridge of Victoria's aging when they got to it. But all Derien cared about now was the feel of Victoria against him. |
Victoria knew he didn't like the suggestion of her becoming a vampire as soon as his arms dropped. She wasn't sure what to say, her gaze went downwards and she bit her lip. Victoria felt a little better when he rewrapped his arms around her, and returned the embrace, her arms going around him and holding him tight. She would stop mentioning it for now... but... the time would come again where she'd wish for it. And at that time, she wouldn't be giving up on that decision. "Sorry." she said softly,
but not whole-heartedly. |
Derien smiled. At least the thought was out of her mind for now. "There's no need to be sorry, dear. I just... I don't understand." Why would anybody want to become a thing that had to feed off of what they once were? Derien hated the feeling of having to go to bed each night regretting all the lives he'd taken.
Victoria smiled softly. At least he didn't seem to be angry with her. She looked up at him, not sure what to say. Chances were, if she tried to explain it, he wouldn't understand. Then again, she hardly understood her... desire for it herself. Letting out a soft sigh, she pulled away a little, slipping her hands into the pocket of the shrug/jacket that she had slipped on over her dress. She felt something in her pocket, something sharp and pin-like, she winced, quickly pulling out her hand and turning away. It was a thorn, probably from their run through the trees, stuck in her finger. She frowned and took it out, sucking on her finger a little to try and stop the blood.
Allie smiled at him. "your welcome sweetie.." She happily hugged him back then suddenly clutching at his back shivering. He kissed her neck, the sweet spot. She blushed at the compliment looking back at him.
Vincent smiled, both at the shiver and blush. He gently cupped Allie's cheek, gently kissing her again before pulling away. He would have liked to stay for a while, but he didn't know when her ex would show up again... if eh would check her apartment while they were still there. "C'mon... you came here to gather some things. Are you ready?"
Allie looked at his smile and tried to glare but failed. His smile was too irresistible. She smiled back and stood up. "yea, I am ready.. don't forget your picture.." she said as she stood up grabbing her bag. She quickly checked the windows and back door and then walked to the front door leading him out and locking the door behind them.
Derien reluctantly let Victoria back away, almost wishing she didn't have to let go, but he figured her hands must be cold, since she slipped them into her pockets.
But the second Derien smelled blood, his mind became less clear. Even though Victoria tried to mask it, the smell was overpowering. Derien ran through the house, to the bathroom, and grabbed a band-aid and hydrogen peroxide for the cut. He held it out at arms length to Victoria, and turned his face away. "Clever," Derien said, joking through a grimace. "Do you really want to be turned so badly?" Derien asked, obviously teasing. |
Vincent smiled, then watched as she checked all the windows and doors. He made sure to grab the picture before following her out into the hallway. Gently grabbing her hand, he led the two of them to the elevator, going up to his level. He then led her down the hallways, and opened his door for her.
Victoria bit her lip. Oops. Major oops. "Sorry.." she whispered as he ran. She was glad he came back though, raising an eyebrow at his supplies. "Bandaids and hydrogen peroxide? You really are trying to kill me.." she replied, teasingly. She went to grab a bandaid, then hesitated. Her blood was tempting him, she knew that much... would it really be such a bad thing to let him have some? She didn't see any harm in it. Victoria took a step closer to him, holding her bleeding finger up to his mouth. "Deiren... please. It's unfair to you, and if you are so opposed to turning me, you may as well at least... try it.." |
Allie smiled at him and took his hand. Back to the hallway and the elevator and to his room. She smiled and walked inside "why thank you sir.." she said with a bow as she kissed his cheek.
"Hey, moms everywhere clean wounds with Hydrogen peroxide, and-" Derien was stopped short by the suddenly overpowering aroma of Victoria's blood. Derien looked down at her finger, and then brought his gaze back up to meet hers, running his tongue along the cut. "There," he said, strained. "You happy?" Derien savored the feel of Victoria's warm blood against his tongue, and the flavor... it was indescribable. Derien pulled Victoria to him, and gently pressed his lips to her forehead. I promise to keep you safe. he thought.
Vincent nodded, smiling at her. Once inside, he quickly checked all the doors and windows before going back to Allie, sitting down on the couch and motioning for her to sit next to him. "Hungry? Thirsty?" he asked.
Victoria shivered a little at the feel of his tongue against the cut. She nodded, smiling softly, before taking out a bandaid and wrapping it around her injured finger. Victoria smiled as she was pulled to him, feeling his cool lips against her forehead. She again wrapped her arms around him, hugging him close. "And, by the way, thanks for trying to kill me." she said softly, motioning towards the hydrogen peroxide. "That stuff hurts.." |
Allie smiled as he closed the door and then was confused as he went around the house. She soon realized what he was doing and tried to smile. She then shook her head. Too much was on her mind to drink anything, although she should drink or eat something, she hasn't had anything since the ice cream. She sighed and then looked down. "thank you for letting me stay here...I am sorry I didn't tell you about all that sooner.."
"Pshh, you wouldn't die from a little pain, and if you did, I'd never be able to turn you, silly." If a person ever had wanted to take their words back, it would be Derien right then. "Ahh, I mean..." Vincent sighed and smiled. "You big baby," he said, tousling her hair.
