Allie looked over at him smiling when he pulled her closer, shutting her eyes when he rubbed her back. Nodding to him, he was right, she had control, she could do this. If anything happened she could bite her arm or something instead. Checking her fangs, they were still small and normal looking. Smiling over to him "I am ready.." she said full well knowing he heard everything she just thought.
Vincent nodded. "Okay.. If you're having trouble, just think it, and I'll get you out of there, alright?" He didn't think she would, but he wanted to be prepared... just in case. If nothing else, covering up a death or two wouldn't be to hard.. butt he really didn't want to have to. He grabbed his wallet and car keys then walked over to the door, opening it for Allie. "Shall we?"
Allie smiled at him and nodded "yea" Suddenly groaning in frustration "I don't wanna kill anybody.." she said sadly. Sometimes she should stay out of his mind. Looking to him watching him get ready she grabbed her purse and followed him, sighing. She could do this. She had control, she had gone shopping while he was gone and it was okay, but the theater was filled with people. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts.
Vincent let out a soft sigh. As they walked out down the hallway, he wrapped an arm around Allie. "If anything else, sweetie, I should be strong enough to stop you. Accident happen... but I won't let you hurt anyone. Alright?" he said softly as they walked. He had killed people before... and he wasn't proud of it. They weren't good thoughts to have to sleep with. Not that he needed sleep. He closed off his mind there, so Allie wouldn't be able to read it. Vincent didn't need her thinking about that anymore.
Allie side hugged him close before they went down the elevator and into the garage. "thank you.. I hope if something goes wrong, I don't hurt you.." she said softly. Reading his thoughts but suddenly being pushed out. She had decided to not read his mind anymore on this topic, after she felt herself get blocked out. She had to think happy thoughts again, she could do this, she wasn't even thirsty, she was going to see a movie with her amazing boyfriend.
Vincent chuckled, though it was a bit grave and not humored. "Let's not think about that.." He walked into the elevator and waited for Allie to come in before pressing a button that would take them down to the parking garage. "So.. movie first?" he asked, almost having forgotten their earlier discussion. "Or shopping first?"
Allie looked over at him, following him. The mood had to be changed or else the day would be ruined "movie first" she said with a grin "we can go shopping after" she said with a smile. She had to find something nice for him, his birthday was coming up. She also needed to learn to block her thoughts so he wouldn't hear them, especially when she was trying to surprise him.
Vincent nodded, smiling. "Alright." he said, somewhat happily. When the elevator stopped and the doors opened, he walked out, waiting for Allie again, before going to his car. Vincent opened the passenger door for her before climbing into his seat and getting buckled in. The car had recently got a paint job, now a crimson red rather than black. It was a bit more flashy looking, typical for a sports car.
Allie smiled again, she knew she could always count on him to help her if something were to happen. Walking into the garage, she was looking for his car but he led her to it. "woah! nice" she said running her fingers along the car. "shes a beauty" she said with a smile, getting into the car. "why thank you sir" She said as she sat down buckling up, even though she didn't have to, just a habit now.
Vincent chuckled. "I have a few more in storage.. if you want one. But this is the same car, you've rode in it before.. she just got a paint job." he said, smiling. He referred to all his cars as 'she', he didn't bother to name them. Vincent waited for her to buckle up before turning on the car and pulling out of the parking garage and into the street. he had to think for a moment to remember the way to the mall with the movie theater, since he hadn't been there in a while, but he remembered and turned on the correct roads.
Allie looked over at him and had to contain a squeal. She could drive one? Not even drive.. he said have. She could have her own sports car? She tried to control her grin but couldn't "I just wanna drive it once.." she said. She did care more about personal things, rather then the items you could buy. Watching him look on the roads, looking confused for a moment she smiled seeing him finally pick a road. She didn't want him to think she was one of those girls who loved fancy toys and gifts, she was happy with a homemade card or just riding in a flashy car, she didn't need to have one.
Vincent smiled. He was glad she didn't seem to be a material girl, besides, if eh was going to give her a gift it would have to be way more sentimental then a flashy car. "Really though, just... just take one. After you hit 200, your bank account's money skyrockets and you have too much and too little to buy." And I already donate most of it to charity. At that thought, he sighed. At one point in time he would hand it out on the street, but people gave him crazy looks and started getting suspicious.
Derien smiled at Victoria and leaned against the counter. "Well..." he said, "Amber likes to have her blood artificially, so we keep food around for her to eat blood tablets with." he wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Don't worry about eating the pancakes, though. She didn't like those," he said, and then ran a finger across Victoria's lips. "Do you take syrup and butter on your pancakes?" Derien asked Victoria in a whisper, with a half-smile.
Allie looked at him smiling softly. "just take it?" She repeated just to be sure. Smiling she leaned over and set her head on his arm lightly. "I don't know what I would do with a lot of money... I would just give it away" She said honestly, she was never one to spend a lot of money. The one thing she did spend money on was her dark room.
Victoria raised her eyebrows a little. "Oh.." she felt a bit better about eating the pancakes, then. However.. the face Derien made when he talked about the blood tablets she thought was a little odd. Did he prefer human blood? suddenly, she was very curious about the whole thing, but she didn't want to ask too many questions. Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt his fingers brush against her lips, and she blushed. "Er.. no, I like them plain, thank you." She then thought back to her questions. "You.. You don't like the blood tablets?" she asked, curious.
Vincent nodded. "Yes.. just take it. Any of them.. or all." he shrugged a little. He smiled softly att what she said, glancing over at her. "Ah.. well.. I do that anonymously.. but.. after over 700 years and the amount of interest I gain from the bank.." he sighed and shook his head. "I donate constantly, but its like a never ending pit." |
Allie smirked at him "You weren't kidding when you said you don't need a job.." She said softly, that first day they met, seemed like so long ago. She said she had to go job hunting, mentally hitting herself now, why would she say that. Looking around she noticed they were almost at the mall. Gulping back her fear she looked over at him again smiling.
Vincent nodded. "Of course not.." he said softly, smiling. He too remembered the day they met, and he smiled at the memory. When they reached the mall, he heard Allie gulp, and after he parked, he gently grabbed her hand. "You can do this.." he said softly, and kissed her cheek before getting out of the car.
Allie looked over at him, watching as he parked the car and unbuckled. He learned over and rubbed her hand, giving her the confidence boost. "I can do this.." she repeated after him. Smiling, she unbuckled herself and opened the door "wow, lots of smells here.." she said with a smile. She was focusing on the smells of the objects and things around her instead of the people. Like the flowers and trees, they both had smell to them.
Vincent smiled and nodded, walking over to her and wrapping an arm around her waist. "Especially..." he looked at a certain bush, carefully picking a type of flower and handing it to her. "This one." he said softly. The flower was a cream color with deep blue speckles on its petals. it had a very distinct, sweet smell, that most humans probably wouldn't be able to pick up.
Allie smiled as his hand went around her waist. Looking over at the bush, she could already smell it. Taking it from him, holding it in her hand, smelling it, enjoying the smell. Her eyes had closed as she smelled the flower. "it smells really good... strongest smelling flower I can smell" she said with a smile.
She saw some kids running ahead of their parents, her nose flared again, smelling them, but easily controlled it. One of the kids even grabbed the bottom of her dress and told her she was pretty before running off with his mother. Smiling she turned back to Vincent, she would be able to control herself, it wasn't a problem. Putting the flower in her hair "how do I look?" she said spinning with a grin. |
Vincent smiled, watching her smell it. It had been his favorite scent for a long time.. he thought she would like it. when he saw the kids approach he was alarmed, he simply watched Allie, smiling seeing as she did nothing. He waved at teh kids before they ran off then turned to Allie to answer her question. "Simply stunning, my love." he replied, wrapping his arm around her waist again.
Allie looked over at him blushing "thank you" she said sweetly. Looking back the kids for a moment, watching them run and be so happy. She suddenly took his hand and moved about a foot away before stopping. Turning back she saw the little boy fall and scrape up his knee, thankfully she had moved far enough away for the blood to not effect her. Looking to Vincent innocently. She had no idea how she knew that was going to happen, maybe it was like how she knew the phone was going to ring.
Vincent smiled, adoring her blush as usual. "You're very welcome." he raised ay eyebrow when she stepped away, then nodded as he noticed the little boy's knee. He looked at her and shrugged. "you should be able to control it better soon.." he said softly as they walked towards the building. When they approached it, the door opened for them, which may I add was not an electronic door. Vincent simply smiled at her, and waited for her to walk inside before walking in after her.
Allie looked over at him smiling, the flower still in her hair. Following him to the door, watching it open automatically. Looking over to him, she smiled brightly, gulping and then stepping through the doors. "thank you sir" she said with a smile. There were a lot of new smells, fresh smells. Her eyes flashed as she shut them and tensed up. She could control it, she picked the flower from her ear, smelling that, her eyes still closed. Suddenly relaxing, putting the flower back into her ear, looking at him smiling, hoping he didn't notice what just happened.
Vincent saw her eyes flash, and her/saw her gulp as she stepped inside. He again wrapped his arm around her waist, gently rubbing her back for comfort. He smiled in approval when she smelled the flower, knowing that would probably help the other smells here. He walked over tot eh ticket counter with her and bought two tickets to the next showing of "The Proposal".
