Nah it's not it takes time. Economies all in the bog.

My friend just got her dream job and she's been looking for over a year.

bloodstainedwings 03-07-2011 09:48 PM

yeah well, she is far closer then me. i dont even know how im going to get my dream job. i want to get paid to teach environmental science to people. thats all, i dont care who those people are, kids or adults or what have you. i just want people to listen, to care and to think about the footprint of their own existence. im not even sure i care how much i get paid for it, as long as its full time and above minimum wage, it will be enough for me to live and better then my current situation by far. but i dont even know where to start with getting that sort of job. other then the education i currently have, and volunteering where i am volunteering. if my volunteer organization was funded perhaps we could get jobs out of that, but as it stands there is no chance for a job in my volunteer organization.

i need to volunteer elsewhere i suppose, but i dont even know where i am supposed to volunteer to get this kind of job.

Jeanie 03-08-2011 06:15 PM

You'll need to do some teaching qualification then I think. Is there a place you can go for advice? We have this work solutions place that we can go and tell them what career we want and what our current qualifications are and they tell us what we need and even find places that offer the courses we need to take.

I think I'm gonna go pirate for halloween, I've got some arm warmers with skulls on I really want to wear for work but have no reason to, plus it wouldn't really be part of the uniform, so pirate would give me an excuse.

bloodstainedwings 03-09-2011 12:11 AM

no actually, i dont. i could get it, but the teaching education here depends on age groups and stuff. environmental/ outdoor education is considered different and 9 times out of 10 the people teaching it do not have teaching degree's or certificates. they have a degree in what they are teaching, but thats it. as far as i can tell anyways. and 5 times out of 10 they are volunteers. but still.

pirates are totally in this year. lol. that reminds me. there was a guy who came into my work and i scanned his card, but because of the way he was holding it, the lazor shot into his eye. i appoligized profusely, but then, to lighten the mood and kinda get him to forget all this mess, i made a joke something along the lines of "well think of the bright side, at worst you have to wear an eye patch and pirates are totally in this year" he didnt think it was funny. my manager is laughing and im trying not to and trying to appoligize but now every time i work with her i just say pirates rule and we laugh for like 5 minutes. so no more troubles with her, which is great... and pirates are awesome... but that guy was pretty upset. he is fine. but still. it was really funny. lol

and on an unrelated note: i apparently cant spell appoligize. i spelled it wrong 3 times now. and didnt bother correcting it. lol. some teacher im going to be right?

Jeanie 03-09-2011 09:10 PM

Ah well over here you need to have a teaching qualification as well as a degree in what you want to teach. They didn't used to but then they decided they did and gave teachers who've been teaching a subject for likie 20 years to get a degree in what they're teaching or they had to get a new job.

Haha aw it was really his own fault the big baby. I'll have to try and find some nice piratey boots.

bloodstainedwings 03-10-2011 02:09 AM

and some pirate booty to give out to the kids. you should keep it in a treasure chest! and wear an eye patch! lol

Jeanie 03-10-2011 06:31 PM

 An eye patch would look odd under my glasses.

bloodstainedwings 03-10-2011 07:09 PM

yes, yes it would. but you should totally do it. thats part of the charm!

Clover Worry 03-12-2011 07:13 PM

I'll think about it.

I have to find a costume for Friday now. Stupid red nose day.

bloodstainedwings 03-12-2011 10:30 PM

red nose day? i have never even heard of that. lol. whats that about?

Clover Worry 03-13-2011 08:44 AM

It's comic relief. Raising money for people in Africa, like buyin them mosquito nets and that and people in the UK like helping kids who are carers for their parents. The BBC do a big show with everyone doin somethin funny and people ring up and give money.

Ugh I think, well I'm pretty sure, I've caught the bug that's been goin round the kids.

bloodstainedwings 03-13-2011 02:40 PM

oh wow thats weird. you british people do some strange things. lol

so your sick again? i dont know how you do that! get more sleep regularly and get healthier some how. have you been taking the stairs? have you been drinking orange juice? eating peppers? lots of veggies, fruits and meats?

Clover Worry 03-15-2011 07:48 PM

The tag line thingy for it is
Quote:

do something funny for money
I've got me red nose and I also got this red soft ball thing that giggles when you bash it I thought the kids would like it.

I seem to be all right now. Just felt really sick all of Sunday and Monday morning. My brother came round too and I was playin with Izzy and kept thinking I was gonna throw up on her.

bloodstainedwings 03-15-2011 08:11 PM

oh my gosh. well i did baking on monday. lots and lots of baking. we made cinnamon rolls, and sugar cookies, and mexican chicken roll thingies, and scalloped potatoes and salmon and brownies!

and we are going to do more baking tomorrow. awesome eh?

but no word on a job yet for me. other then the one i have. but i cant live off part time minimum wage. i need more and i want to have a job in my field. *sigh* why is it so hard these days eh? i guess its always hard no matter the day though... i mean i should be pretty happy were not in the middle ages... plagues and stuff... oh gosh... days before the diva cup! insanity right there. i cant even... i wont imagine life without it. lol

Clover Worry 03-16-2011 07:56 PM

I was meant to bake on Sunday, doin it this weekend instead. Caramel shortbread.

We had Latvian food on Tuesday at nursery. They had one of the kids mums come in and make a proper meal with the kids.

My cousins gone to Australian to get a teaching job.

I'm booking my driving test on Friday.

bloodstainedwings 03-16-2011 08:25 PM

wow.... australia, thats far. lol. but cool. tell her to be careful of EVERYTHING because it can all kill you in one way or another. seriously, most deadly place ever. lol. even the cuddly bears in the tears are ferocious and can rip your face off with their sharp claws.

but latvian food... i have no idea what that would entail. what did you eat? was it tasty?

good luck! i know you can do it. i still have yet to drive a car since i got my G1. im trying to save up for a vehicle so that i can drive one, but without my G2 i cant buy a car, and without a car i cant get my G2. such bullshit. you need a car in order to learn to drive a car, but you cant buy a car until you learn to drive a car. but if James and i collaborate on a car, 1) he will have to let me drive it, its partially mine and 2) we will have a car. lol

Clover Worry 03-16-2011 08:50 PM

She took really thin pork steaks and coated them in egg and flour and fried it and did some pasta and mince. She also made some cake thing and something called curd. I didn't try it but apparently it was quite nice.

That would make it cheaper. I should be able to afford my car when I get paid then need to work on the insurance and tax money.

bloodstainedwings 03-16-2011 09:04 PM

the pork thing sounds like a pork version of how italians cook veal. lol. i have made it before, its really good. i didnt know it was latvian. i just thought i was doing pork instead of veal. lol.

wow you are so many steps ahead of me. good for you. ill catch up though, you will see. persistence and determination. right? although you know how you were complaining about your government programs and stuff? well mine wont help em unless i become a single parent, a coke head and homeless. then they will help me. but because i am young, educated and not stupid they wont help me. they are all like "your a contributing member of society and we are stepping on you and you dont like it and want help? ... no. if you were a shittier person and would be costing us money either way, then maybe. but your a good person, so we are not going to help you. " its bullshit.

Clover Worry 03-17-2011 08:28 AM

I didn't know what Latvian food was. :XD The kids kinda liked it.

You'll be all right the only reason I've not had to stop my lessons loads is cause my dad lent me money when I ran out.

That's stupid.

My friend couldn't register as homeless cause they wanted a postal address and wouldn't accept a "care of" they said she had to have a permanent address to register as having no address.

bloodstainedwings 03-17-2011 11:50 AM

yeah thats fucked up. but then again, registering to be homeless... thats a little fucked up too isnt it? the government sure has fucked up rules sometimes. and honestly, i dont even think they think about it anymore. i think they are just like "yeah that sounds good, lets put that into practice" without even really considering it in greater detail.

on a brighter note, the baking i did yesterday worked out really nicely. i was just not home till 1am and i have to work at noon in a store i dont like all that much. ass. but i had bacon and cupcakes for dinner. lol

Jeanie 03-17-2011 08:05 PM

That's good, I'm not baking till about Saturday.

My test has been booked, 3rd May at 10:44.

bloodstainedwings 03-17-2011 10:40 PM

oh thats exciting!

i bought a new pair of earphones and i am thinking about steampunking them up. but im not sure what to do. do you have an ideas?

Jeanie 03-18-2011 05:15 PM

Mm I don't really know steampunk.

All the kids were dressed up today. And we did a race. I got 8 laps with a kid in a pram and trying to keep track of another one. :XD

bloodstainedwings 03-18-2011 06:22 PM

thats awesome. i love it when kids dress up. they are so much cuter that way. lol. specially goth kids. so cute!!!

and i think i might just keep them the way they are. really they are not that bad. i cut out wings that i was going to add gears too and stuff, but now i think i wont. i dont know.

Clover Worry 03-20-2011 10:26 AM

One of them was the tin man he looked so cute. His older sister was Dorothy.

I don't do anything to my headphones.

I'm gonna make some caramel shortbread soon.
