Welcome to Makai Academy, school to all kinds of monsters. We accept any monster, humans aren't allowed in this academy so all monsters are safe in this haven of goodness. However should a human come to this sacred space do not kill him or her. We of the school board shall deal with them. We hope you enjoy the fun of school and try not to fight please~ we don't want any problems with parents. Enjoy~

Age: 18 Species: Nine-Tailed Fox Personality: Kind, caring, sweet, shy, and honest Bio: Kanan Mikuri is an outcast by all for legends state that those who befriend a Nine-Tailed fox will have misfortune brought on to them. Since many people are afraid of what the legends say people have avoided Kanan. Kanan that Makai Academy will be different than the outside world. Jaden sat at her desk, head down and shoulders hunched. She sighed loudly awaiting for the teacher begin class, her eyes rolled once another student shot her a dirty glance. See, jaden wasnt exactly the most popular girl, she was actually the least popular. When a notebook glanced off of her shoulders class began.
The bellrang, she stood for the pledge of allegiance, gave up and sat down placing her head back on the desk, waiting to be sent to the office for disobeying the teacher's orders. She didnt care, what good was she? She had no friends and none of her race attended the school, so why try was her current attitude. (so its less confusing and easier to follow) |
Kanan was sitting down quietly on his desk. He noticed around him that many students seemed nice but they were still keeping their distances from Kanan. Kanan felt a little lonely being in class, Kanan sighed then noticed a girl who looked upset. She looks so beautiful, yet she arbors such an unhappy look upon her face. Kanan thought. Kanan looked at the girl with such curiousity.

feeling a pair of eyes on her, Jaden sighed looking at the boy who seemed to be enthralled with her "can i help you?" her question brought several odd stares including a stern one from the teacher who was pointing to the doorway, she nodded, gathered her things and left.
She plopped down onto the linoleum with her things beside her, she listened to the lesson while tears welled in her eyes. |
Kanan felt concerned for the girl who felt so sad. Kanan got up from his seat, "I have to go, my yokai form is becoming violent. May I go please?" Kanan said plainly as one of his fox tails appeared and lashed out at the table behind him. Kanan's tail broke the table in two, "I'm sorry, but I have to go some place where I won't hurt anyone." Kanan proclaimed. The teacher nodded with a scared look, "Y-yes, you may leave now." The teacher said. Kanan grabbed his things and went out the door. He saw the girl and went towards her, "I'm sorry that you got into trouble because of me, uhm, I---I'd like to be your friend, if that is you'd accept such a horrible monster such as I. I'll be at rooftop of this school during lunch, if you want you can go there to hangout with me. B---but you don't need to go if you don't want to." Kanan said. Kanan turned around and started to walk to somewhere safer as his second tail appeared waving about. Kanan started running towards the stairs to go to the rooftop of the school.

sighing she stood to her feet barely able to dodge Kanan's tail and hurried after him. Jaden's speed was quite remarkable, but, so was the principal's. She sighed, nodded once and followed him to his office "i dont want a lecture, i dont want to be here. Why cant i live on my own?" she cried staring up at the middle aged man, he shrugged once before speaking "child, calm yourself, everyone knows you dont want to be here. Please, just try to stay out of trouble" he kissed her forehead, in a fatherly sense and sent her back after the boy.
She cried out for him to stop running but nothing came out of her mouth, she blinked once to watch the world around her haze into forms she could not comprehend. The sun was slinking down behind the mountains, meaning a full moon was rising. Her hands began trembling and mouth filled with what tasted like copper, then, she knew it was over. She collapsed... |
Kanan sat on a corner of the roof while his tails settled down but he still felt uneasy, the more unhappiness he felt in the air the more tails appears. Kanan looked and saw the full moon, "It's beautiful, just like that girl......but why is the moon so yellow, so golden?" Kanan said in awe.

stumbling behind him, Jaden howled a low grumble. Ears sprouted from her skull, she couldnt help but allow hot tears to roll down the sides of her face. Finally, she felt happy. The joy of being free, she howled again while her tail tore through the black denim jeans. She she saw kanan, she lightly licked his cheek and jumped off of the roof, landing with a soft thud. The pricipal yelled for her, though she could hear his every murmured swear, she ignored him and ran into the woods.

Kanan blushed when the girl licked his cheek, then he saw the Principal yelling at the girl as she ran towards the woods. "So her name is Jaden, she's a lycan? No, her monster scent smells different than a lycan. I wonder why Principal Valentine was yelling at her? I should check up on her, I'm little worried about her." Kanan said. Kanan's wrists and ankles lit up on azure flames, they looked like tufts of fur. Kanan flew off the rooftop and followed Jaden silently while trying not to be noticed by her.

she sprang up into a tree, her appearance was far different from a lycan, she looked slightly like a were-wolf (walking on her hind legs with her arms dangling by her sides) she howled once at the top of the tree having noticed another person following her, besides half of the defense classes. She sighed staring down at Kanan with a startled expression

Kanan's sixth tail appeared, as that happened Kanan let out a fox-like cry. Kanan looked above him and saw Jaden. Kanan flew towards her until he was face to face with Jaden. Kanan blinked twice before licking Jaden's cheek, Kanan gave out a fox-like smile as he had done this.

Jaden's ears perked while she backed away from him, the moon rose high, basking in all of it's glory as the two interacted with one another. Sensing the arrival of the other students she leapt from tree to tree before finally reaching the mountains, barking and howling as she went.
When she did an overwhelming urge broke through her playful mind, she dropped into a low crouch sniffing areas of her body, finding them repulsive while other wolves crowded her, panting and sniffing her, she backed away from them, tail between her legs. She hadnt felt anything like this before, so, she fled. What else was there to do? |
Kanan watched as Jaden left, Kanan noticed other students in the woods and saw that they ditched class just to make out. Kanan didn't want to be seen by students so Kanan left the area. Kanan flew away from the forest and ended up in a cemetary where he saw the spirit flames which seem to calm his yokai form.

yipping and growling she dashed away from the other men, while, at the same time she kept her own distance from Kanan until the urge faded. That's when the sun rose once again, she shifted back and collapsed staring up at the morning sky admiring the abundance of colors "what's your name fox-boy?"

Kanan's tails disappeared as his yokai completely calmed down. Kanan's body tensed up when he heard Jaden's voice, Kanan turned around to look at her. "I--I'm Kanan Mikuri, a nine-tailed fox." Kanan said shyly. "Uhm, I'm sorry about the licking thing. I shouldn't have done that, or rather I shouldn't let my yokai influence me to do such a thing. I'm really sorry!" Kanan said and bowed to Jaden.

when he bowed she grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him to the ground with her. She smiled at him lightly kissing his cheek "s'okay.. you remind me of someone, have we met before?" upon having asked such a thing she sighed watching closely while the colors faded from the sky "you're not the only nine-tailed fox here. The principal is one too"

"No, I don't think we have met other than being classmates in at least half of most of the classes, we're in. Sometimes I look at you and think, 'this girl is very beautiful, but why does she arbor such sadness?' and then I noticed how some of the student give you weird looks. I don't know why they do but, I think that some others misjudge people before they even get to know them. Just like how the students look at me with fear of being cursed and avoid me, or how those students look at you so horribly. However I don't think of you horribly, I think that you are a nice person, but I don't think those other student will ever know that unless they open their minds and have the heart to be friends with you." Kanan said. Kanan started to laugh sheepishly, "I'm sorry I didn't know I was rambling on, how embarassing. But yes, I believe what I say is the honest truth, also I did have a feeling Principal Valentine was like me. But unlike him, I can't fully control my yokai like he does. But I'm trying and that's what counts." Kanan proclaimed with a smile.

"they wont understand" she sighed "dont try and make them either.. see.. i'm a werepyre. No one likes a halfbreed, y'know?" sighing again before standing up she let out a soft yawn before rubbing her eyes, everyone here is a fullbreed and well adjusted. I'm a half breed and unadjusted to anything around me.."

"Halfbreeds like werepyres aren't bad, I know how about I become your friend? I'm always lonely in this school, and I'd love to have a friend! I don't care whether you're halfbreed, fullbreed, human, or any other thing. The only thing that matters is that I'll be your friend regardless what anybody would say." Kanan said with a smile, Kanan then gave Jaden a hug.

blinking then smiling Jaden hugged him back, she heard children filing into the school whispering about her little incident the day before "a-alright.." her voice trembled while she hoped no one would see, unfortunately she wouldnt be so lucky "Look!" a boy shouted "the two freaks have finally noticed eachother!"

Kanan looked at the boy who made that comment, "If you don't want to be cursed by a nine-tailed fox, you would be nicer to us. Otherwise an accident might happen, you'll never know~" Kanan said playfully to the boy. Kanan giggled a little as he saw the boy apologizing and running away. "Don't worry about that boy or what anybody else says, I'll be here for you always." Kanan said.

Jaden blushed rather embarrassed, she nodded once before watching the other kids pass by "i think school is starting.. I dont really want to go" she sighed knowing that if she didnt the principal would probably suspend her, or worse, ground her so she couldnt leave school premises "what do you want to do?"
she was an attractive girl, though her pale listless look masked it. |
"Uhm, I don't know. Would you like to go back to school? We both calmed down a bit so I think we can go back. Or you can do what you want to do and I'll follow you. This is my first time having a friend so I don't know what to do, but I'll do anything with you as long as you don't mind that I'm with you." Kanan said excitedly.
