Himiko & kurobizzle's Asian style Rp

This is between Kurobizzle and myself, so please do not post. Also if you would like the plot you will find it in one of my request threads.

Characters:

Name: Himiko Otori
Age:18
Bio: She’s a proper young lady who appears to be perfectly normal. Except for the fact she can’t recall her name, or anything else about herself. Every now and then a fragmented memory will pop into mind, but its never enough to know who she is. All Himiko can really do is be respectful and grateful to the man who has taken her in while she continues to struggle with who she is.

Additional Information: Back home in Kyoto she’s the daughter of noble samurai. Her father is caring and surprisingly laid back despite the fact her daughter is still unmarried. Her mother passed on when she was young so since then he has allowed her to do as she wished. As long as it didn’t disgrace the family or disrupt her studies. Himiko was a bright girl growling up, and always looked to please her father. Even when she was of age and longed to express her feels for a friend , Himiko held her tongue. With so many suitors at her door she felt like her father would choose one for her. Himiko could bear the thought of disappointing him in denying his choice.

Still, the day she disappeared would have changed all of that. She was on trip with her father; taking what was normally a simple boat ride. The sky was relatively clear that morning, but halfway through their trip a storm kicked up. Their boat rocked violently and soon Himiko was thrown into the water. Being of noble blood she was never taught to swim, but she amazingly survived.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-26-2009 03:42 AM

Himiko awoke in a strange room adorn with rich colored silks. Her head was swimming in pain as she sat up looking around. It was hard to really make out where she was in the dark room, but she must not have been home since nothing looked familiar. Himiko thought about it for awhile and realized she couldn't remember much of anything let alone her name.

Looking beside her bed she saw a soft pink kimono and a necklace resting upon it. Leaning over she grabbed the necklace only to suddenly feel as though she was drowning. Seeing water flooding over her while pink fabric whirled around her as she clung to the locket.

Himiko tried to open it, but it was stuck. No doubt from the salt water it had been submerged in for so long. Himiko tried a little longer, before giving up. She was just to exhausted from it all to really work at it. Deciding to go back to sleep she went to put the locket down, but something about it just wouldn't allow her to set it down. So she put it on and curled back up in the strange bed. Nothing felt familiar to her, and it made her uncomfortable. Her eyes felt misty, but she held back the tears. Her head was already pounding; crying would only make it worse.

Come morning she was able to see the room clearly, and the locket. It looked like a small gold book with an engraving of blossom on it. It was simple, but it calmed her deeply. Dressing up she looked out of her room.

"Hello?" Himiko fiddled with her necklace as she looked for someone, anyone. Her hands shook a little as tried to remember someone about herself and nothing came to mind. She started to believe this was all just a bad dream. Even so it was scaring her.

Its perfectly fine! Just go ahead and post. ^_^

kurobizzle 05-28-2009 02:31 AM

"Oh! Good morning miss.I did not expect you to waken so early." A young woman in a plain kimono walked up to the surprised girl and bowed, "I am Yumino and I will be your servant for as long as you stay here."

Kichiro let out a loud yawn, turning the heads of all his bearded advisors. He ignored them as he rested his head against his propped up arm. Why did he have to go to these damn meetings? He never did anything except listen to their rants and ramblings about the economy and the people. How did Father survive these?!

"My Lord." Kichiro glanced at the only other young member of his court; his personal advisor and best friend. "What is it Shiichi?" He asked lazily. "Please look a little more lively sir." Shiichi mumbled, turning back to his notes as he jotted down what the head general was saying about their enemies. Kichiro would have paid attention too if the general's voice wasn't so BORING.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-28-2009 04:25 AM

Himiko looked at the woman completely confused and uneasy.
"Um..Thank you, but really I will be fine." She replied respectfully. Really she had no idea where she was so any attention like that made her uncomfortable. Looking around the home gave no hints as to where she was at all.

"Where am I?" Himiko asked helplessly as she thought of her real question. 'Who was she?' The new surroundings, unfamiliar faces and blank memory had started to stress her body. Her eyes misted and her cheeks turned a soft cherry pink. Himiko was 18, but she looked like a lost child right now.

kurobizzle 05-29-2009 02:28 AM

Yumino gave her a smile. "You are in the Emperor's private home. The main castle is just over that fence." She motioned her hand to the elegant red fence surrounding the house, "The Emperor found you while going on his daily horse-back ride. Though most of his advisors said to keep you in the guest house, he insisted you stayed here."

Himiko Lamprouge 05-29-2009 02:39 AM

Himiko looked off to the distance she'd presented her. It seemed even more like a dream now.

"Emperor..." Himiko couldn't recall anyone with such a title, but she had been a sleep for much of the time. Without thinking she started walking off for fence. If he was the one to find her then she'd have to thank him. More importantly he might know something about her. Walking quickly she found herself at the gate of the palace. Looking for the way in; eager to find out who he was, and where she was.

"Excuse me! Hello? Someone?!" She cried out in hopes someone would be able to help her. After all there had to be plenty of people working the grounds to help her.

kurobizzle 05-29-2009 02:52 AM

A guard stopped and walked over to the girl. "What d'ya need?" He asked, staring at the girl strangely. She looked dazed and confused. "Y'know you're not supposed ta be in here without permission." He added, remembering the last time he let someone in. He was yelled at by his commanding officer for hours...

Himiko Lamprouge 05-29-2009 02:57 AM

"But...the Emperor..." Himiko calmed down. her glassy eyes seemed endlessly hollow in her state. There was nothing for her to hold on to, and the thought made she shiver.

"He brought me here..." She mumbled looking up at him helplessly. All she wanted was some answers she just didn't think it would be this hard. Why bring her here and let her stay in his home? He could have easily just left her where he found her, but he didn't. Himiko just wanted to know why.

"Please do you know who I am?" She asked him as she fought back the tears.

kurobizzle 05-29-2009 03:07 AM

The guard jumped when he saw the girl's tears. "Hey don't cry!!" He shouted, "I don't know who ya are!!" He tried to remember what had happened that day and sure enough, he did remember the Emperor bringing a girl to the palace. "Now I know!" He exclaimed, "You're dat girl his Highness saved! I'm sure dey'd let you in! C'mon." He spun around and started for the entrance. The guard glanced back to make sure she was following.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-29-2009 03:27 AM

Himiko immediately perked up when he began to lead her inside.
"Oh thank you!" She smiled sweetly as stray tears ran down her face. Her vision was slightly blurry from the build up of tears, but with each tear her vision began to return to normal. Following him Himiko started to feel more at ease knowing she'd meet the man who saved her. Walking along she started trying to imagine him and what he'd be like. Noble and stuck up came to mind, but he had saved her so he couldn't have been that bad. She would just have to wait and see what kind of man he was.

"I'm sorry for the trouble...really..." Himiko told the guard who'd decided to help her. He really was being a ig help to her, and she appreciated it greatly.

kurobizzle 05-29-2009 10:25 PM

The guard blushed and looked away. "It's nuthin..." He muttered, saluting to a subordinate when he got to the main door, "Da girl's with me." His subordiante just nodded and saluted back. He strided inside, walking down the immense and decorated main hallway. The guard made a few turns, but luckily the girl was keeping up. Finally, he stopped at a skinny door and knocked.

Kichiro fought back another yawn when suddenly a knock resounded in the room. All his advisors stopped and turned to the doorway. The guard standing there opened it and began arguing with whoever was outside. Finally, the guard looked back at him.

"My lord, a guard is here escorting the girl you saved this morning." He announced. Kichiro immediately perked up and sat up straight. "This is an important matter! Tell them to meet me in my throne room, I'll speak to her there." He got up, thanking the gods that he found an excuse to leave. He turned to his advisors and smiled apologetically. "I am sorry, but I have other things to attend to. If any of you have questions, just ask Shiichi here." Kichiro patted his friend's shoulder, ignoring the glare he was getting from the said boy. Guess he'll have to beg for his forgiveness later. With a slight nod of his head, Kichiro left the room through an side entranceway that led to the throne room.

The guard turned to Himiko. "Follow me." He said as he turned for the throne room. The walk was only a couple of feet away and when they reached it, the guard grabbed the handle and opened the door for her. "The Emperor's waitin'. Don't screw up." He announced.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-30-2009 06:12 PM

Himiko nodded as she walked inside.

"Don't screw up? He could have been a little nicer about that. I don't know what to do let alone what not to do." Himiko thought to herself as her eyes stayed fixed on the floor. Should she look up or continue how she was. No matter what she had to find out how far she was from him, so she looked up.

His golden amber eyes were enough to hypnotize a person, and the silvery hair that draped over them only made them stand out more. Taking a few more steps Himiko found herself at the food of his thrown, and shaking like a leaf.

"Emperor." She said timidly as she sat on her knees and bowed her head deeply. Thinking on it now she didn't even realize she'd done it. It was like a natural think to her in that moment as though she'd been in a setting like this before. But there was no time to think on it. All she could do right now was to not screw it up.

"Thank you for all you've done for me." She told him genuinely grateful for everything he'd done. From the time she bowed up till now she had kept her eyes on the ground unsure of she could look up now or continue to wait.

kurobizzle 05-30-2009 09:50 PM

Kichiro's eyes widened when he saw the girl before him. When he had saved her that morning, all he noticed was her shining golden brown locks. He would have never guessed her eyes were such a warm brown. The trance he was in was finally broken when she bowed.

"You are welcome." Kichiro said after he thanked her, "But tell me. Who are you? And what happened to you?" She seemed like a mysterious girl to him, something he found surprisingly attractive.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-30-2009 10:01 PM

Himiko looked up in slight shock, and then disappointment. Hearing his questions it was only obvious he didn't have the answers she was looking for.

"...I'm sorry, but I was going to ask you the same thing." Himiko replied sadly forgetting her place.

"I'm sorry." She told him quickly in hopes she wouldn't screw this up as the guard instructed her. This who situation was stressful for her so she could only imagine how it must be fore him. He went through the trouble of saving her and she couldn't even give him her name.

"I can't seem to recall anything, please forgive me."

kurobizzle 05-31-2009 03:43 AM

Kichiro just smiled and got off his throne. He didn't care if anyone was watching, he was Emperor. He could do anything. He walked over to the mysterious girl and knelt down in front of her.

"You don't have to apologize for anything." He said, "I should be the one apologizing. I am unable to provide you any of the answers you seek. The only information I can give you is that I found you on the beach a few miles from here. I am terribly sorry."

Himiko Lamprouge 05-31-2009 03:53 AM

Himiko looked up, but kept her eyes from locking with his. Her body was shaking as she glanced on either side of her. Seeing the looks she was receiving made her uncomfortable. She couldn't tell if it was because of something she did or what he'd done. Not that it was anything drastic.

"No you have done more than enough. I thank you for that." Himiko went to bow again, but he was so close she worried about bumping into him. So she just looked to the floor again. Hiding her face under hear hair wishing people would stop staring at her.

"Forgive me if I have offended you or your people. I'm not use to such surroundings...that I'm aware of." She told him trying to lighten the mood of the others.

kurobizzle 05-31-2009 07:40 PM

The only laugh that resounded in the throne room was the Emperor's. He chuckled before patting her head. "It is fine. Do not be so tense." Kichiro said. Now... what was he to do with this girl? 'I can't let her out in this condition.' He thought. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head.

Kichiro turned around and stepped up to his throne again to get a better view of his court. "With all of you as my witnesses, I will declare that this woman in front of me shall be an honored guest to my kingdom. She will be staying here until she can regain her memories. All those who have any objection to this shall answer to me." He added the last part just in case. This was a risky move on his part, but he really couldn't leave this girl alone. Kichiro walked back to her and motioned to the front door.

"Let us go. We need to make the preparations for your stay." He whispered to her.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-31-2009 08:09 PM

Himiko's head was spinning as he spoke to them. It was a lot to take in and she could hardly process the little information she was given before.

"Sir really you've already done enough." Himiko blushed as she followed him. Everything was so amazing and elegant she felt overwhelmed. It was awkward to reply on someone, but what else could she do? He was so nice for a ruler, but then again she hadn't met any people like him before. That she knew.

"I'm sorry...If I've imposed on you."

kurobizzle 05-31-2009 08:16 PM

Kichiro didn't respond until the two were out of the throne room. "Nonsense, you aren't imposing." He said casually, "And you shouldn't be so tense. It's not good for your health." The Emperor was giddy beyond words. He felt like such a good person helping out this lost, mysterious girl.

"And before we start on anything else, don't call me 'sir'." He added, "You are my guest, you should call me by my name. It's-"

"Kichiro..." Kichiro turned to see his angry best friend and froze. "Um... hello there Shiichi..." He greeted sheepishly. Great, this wasn't going to turn out so well.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-31-2009 08:45 PM

Himiko listened to him careful not to mess anything up, but something still wasn't sitting right with her. It didn't help seeing Kichiro's friend staring him down. Her stomach turned and her hands began to shake.

"Please to meet you." Himiko bowed softly to the boy hoping to smooth things over. She couldn't understand why he looked so unhappy, but she was sure it was her fault. Her soft auburn hair feel in her face that was when she realized she must have looked awful. Standing back up she smoothed her hair back into place and stayed behind Kichiro.

kurobizzle 05-31-2009 08:58 PM

Shiichi noticed the girl behind Kichiro and smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you too." He greeted kindly before frowning at Kichiro. He grabbed him by his robes and dragged him away from the girl. "You better not be thinking of doing anything to her." He whispered. "I'm not!" Kichiro replied, "Honestly! That's the girl I saved this morning!" Shiichi blinked and let go of him. "Oh, okay."

Shiichi walked back to the girl and nodded. "My name is Shiichi, and you are?" "Um, she doesn't know." Kichiro replied for her as he walked back to the duo. "You don't?" Shiichi asked in a confused tone.

Himiko Lamprouge 05-31-2009 09:12 PM

Himiko looked down feeling stupid, but quickly looked up with a small smile.
"Forgive me, I can't seem to recall anything, but I'll be sure to tell you my name when it comes to me." She told him in a cheery hopeful tone. All she could do was wait and hope something was jog her memory, or at the very last remind her of her name.

"its nice to meet you Shiichi...um..Emperor I believe we should call me something." Himiko said softly. They couldn't keep calling her 'the girl' all this time. She needed a name even if only temporary.

kurobizzle 06-01-2009 03:13 AM

Kichiro brightened up like a small child. "We should!" He agreed happily, "What should we call her Shiichi?!" "She's not an animal your Higness." Shiichi muttered. "Oops, sorry." The Emperor apologized sheepishly and turned back to the girl. He gazed at her for a few moments, a bit entranced by her warm, brown eyes. It's been so long since he'd seen such eyes... And that's when he got it.

"I know! Let's call you Hitomi!" Kichiro announced, "It means 'eyes'." "Why 'eyes'?" Shiichi asked. "Well, her eyes are beautiful." He replied casually.
