Kaizoku!! (Come join us!)
In 1745, there were a lot of people using ships as a main source of travel. They had produce ships to give other countries what they had to offer, they had cruise ships so rich people could brag about their gold and they had and they had navy ships to keep everyone in check. But someone had to cause a bit of well-needed mayhem, right?
"PIRATES!!!" The black flag with the skull and crossbones would raise as suddenly as they appeared, they'd rob and plunder and murder for anything a ship had to offer. I guess we all need a little mayhem every now and then. Bio for Kaizoku Username: Character name: Age: Position: (i.e. Pirate, Captain or Navy, Luitenant) Personality: (separate with coma's) Appearence: (A description or picture [preferably anime] can be used) Likes: Dislikes: Fears: Secrets: History: Powers: (OPTIONAL) RP example: For example: Username: opalistic8 Character name: Stephanie Rein Age: 19 Position: Pirate, navigator Personality: sarcastic, funny, strong, good navigator, doesn't complain *harr harr*. Appearence: http://www.menewsha.com/forum/member...cture17101.jpg Likes: Eating, drinking, teasing members of her crew, going to forgiegn ports and teasing people's accents, apples, treasure Dislikes: fighting when unnessecary, people not laughing at her jokes, the navy, swords (she prefers guns), rough seas Fears: Death, the hangman's noose, a prison cell Secrets: She's the Navy Admiral's daughter History: Stephanie ran away from home when she truned 18, and stowed away on a ship. That ship was caught by pirates, and only she was spared. She's now the navigator of a pirate ship called Devil's Arc. She learned to navigate from an old pirate called Bill Thomas, and is now one of the best in all the fleets. Powers: None [other than a big mouth] RP examlpe: The night was quiet, like always, and the only noise was the rush and swell of the sea. The salty smell burned Stephanie's throat, but she savoured it like a rare dish. A light breeze whipped at her long, brown hair, causing it to play up in strands and glisten in the moonlight. Stephanie could hear servants and maids calling to eachother downstairs; they disturbed the nightly silence, made the scene below her seem more realistic rather than one of a dream. The waves crashed on the beach, then retreated in a backwash. Green clumps of seaweed bobbed in the deeper water like little rafts, buffeted this way and that by the currents. A couple of dolphins jumped and played in the shallows, making their joyful sounds. Stephanie stared longingly out at this ocean, this deep void of black water. She wished she could sail them, she wished she could be like the bobbing heads of weed, out in the waves and no one to see her, no one to stop her from being herself. She subconciously realised what was soon going to happen. She couldn't stay here. The lifestyle didn't suit her. She wasn't the type to laugh at jokes that weren't funny, or dress up like a pretty little doll for less-than-formal occasions. She needed to leave. Right now. Vorian stared out at the waves, bathed in the light of the setting sun. He pulled his hat down a little further to block his sensitive eyes from it's fading light. "Accursed sun." Vorian's voice was smooth, befitting one of noble birth with a slight air of authority. This was only one of the many ways he stood out. His black attire and long silky hair were immaculate. His skin was pale like porcelain, but looked sickly in the sun. Vorian looked down at his pale fingers and stretched them, feeling the little strength they currently possessed. The side of his mouth turned down in disgust. "Blessed be the night for like jasmine I too only bloom when darkness falls." |
((AKK sorry!! :S:S:S))
Stephanie stared blankly at the setting sun too. It wasn't because she neccesarily needed to... there just wasn't anything else to do. The ship already had its' bearing, the sea was relatively calm and the kitchen was empty again. She wasn't in the mood to talk to the captain, either, so here she was. Stephanie heard Vorian mutter something to himself. He was staring at the sun, as usual. But he had that usual look of disgust on his face. She wondered vaguely why that was... She sighed a heavy sigh, and pushed herself to her feet. There had to be something she could do other than sit on the edge of the ship with the creepy mercenary. It wasn't that she had anything against him, it was just... he was so creepy. Just looking at him gave Stephanie the chills. As she wandererd away, she vaguely wondered why that was... |
Vorian continued stretching his fingers, feeling the strength flow back into them with every passing second. He sighed and set his hand on the bow as a breeze whipped up from the sea, tossing his black hair around his face. His considerably long hair was tied in a ponytail at the back of his head and spilled down his back like a black waterfall. Vorian heard someone shuffle and rise. He turned his head and saw the navigator girl walking away. Vorian blinked, feeling his pupils change from round to slitted. He looked over his shoulder and only saw the faintest glimmer of light on the horizon. Vorian stood and stretched wondering if anything interesting would be happening this night.
(I'm gonna go watch bleach, be back in 30 min ^.^) |
(Hmm... we seem to need more characters :/)
Stephanie wandered around the ship a little as the remaining light faded away completely. Still nothing to do. Nobody was on deck at the moment; they were all probably in the sleeping quarters or tending to the prisoners from the last raid. She didn't feel like going down there. It was always musty and smelly with all those huge, sweaty guys. Though Stephanie did like it up on deck a lot, she couldn't stand it when she was alone with creepy people... She gave half a glance behind her. Vorian hadn't moved. She shook herself mentally and turned back. She skipped toward the shares to go up to the wheel; nothing was wrong. It was just her mind being an idiot. |
Vorian looked critically at the cargo hold.
"I'm a little hungry..." He turned and walked to the door that led to the cargo hold. He soundlessly slipped through and tapped the guard on his shoulder. The man jumped and almost let out a yelp, but stifled his surprise and turned to Vorian. "Why don't yo have a break, I'd like some... alone time." Vorian suggestively motioned at the female captives with his eyes. A look of understanding spread across the man's face and he smiled and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Vorian shivered with disgust. "Barbarians." Vorian walked to the food storage and liberated some jerky and water. He quickly distributed it to the grateful women. A few of them tried to thank him but vorian put his fingers to his lips and walked over to the cage that held the men. Vorian picked out a boy of about 20 and smuggled him up to his room. The captain had provided him with his own room when he had been contracted. Vorian locked the door behind him and sat on his bed as the boy ate vorian's meal. The boy kept looking over at Vorian nervously and eventually spoke. "Um... W-what will you eat sir? This is your meal isn't it?" Vorian smiled sadly. "Oh, I'll manage somehow. Just enjoy it." |
Watched as the guard walked away, then as Vorian led a captive away. Stephanie narrowed her eyes. Suspicious. That Vorian guy always was.
Sighing, Stephanie stretched from her stance behind the wheel and looked around. Now she was completely alone. She looked at the eastern sky. A full moon had risen there, sending its ghostly glow everywhere. The crests of the waves sparkled dimly; the scene was very enchanting. Stephanie's stomach suddenly grumbled so loudly that she jumped three feet. She patted her flat belly. "How I wish I had a sweet apple..." She moaned. Letting go of the wheel, Stephanie took out her old, worn compass for something to do. The ship was going too far east. She adjusted the wheel carefully, making sure the little red needle pointed in the exact direction in which the Captain had directed. Then she went back to being bored. |
Vorian waited until the boy was finished. After he had cleared away the dishes, vorian suddenly grabbed the captive and pushed him onto the bed.
"What is your name boy?" The boy's eyes widened in fear as Vorian pinned him to the bed. "W-what are you!!? You're cold and your skin feels hard. And I'm not a boy! I am 20 years old!" Vorian scoffed. "I have lived 6 of your lifetimes, so to me you are but a boy." Vorian lengthened one of his nails and used it to slice open the boy's shirt. "I believe I asked for your name." The boy hesitated for a few seconds before speaking. "Anthony." Vorian smiled. "Anthony, what a nice name..." Vorian's smile did not seem to reach his eyes, his eyes seemed to look sadly down at the boy. "Goodbye Anthony." Anthony's eyes were perplexed for a moment as vorian bent and began kissing his neck. His confusion turned to fear when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his neck and his blood begin to flow between vorian's lips. Anthony tried to cry out, but vorian clamped his hand over Anthony's mouth as he drank. |
Stephanie jumped as her stomach gurgled again. Geez, they'd only raided a town a week ago and the spoils were already out. Even the rum was gone!
But... she noticed that she hadn't been feeling a tummy-rumble coming on. Confused, Stephanie listened carefully. There was nothing to hear but the rush of the sea. Then she heard something. It sounded like a muffled shout, coming from somewhere below. But the sound cut off almost immediately, as if someone had slapped a hand over someone's mouth... "What the...?" Stephanie, leaving the wheel, leapt down the short flight of steps onto the deck, and followed where she though the sound had come from. She found herself outside of Vorian's door. Was he okay? She lifted her hand, preparing to unlatch the door. |
Vorian was unaware of Stephanie's approach, wrapped up in the euphoria of warm blood rushing down his throat. He closed his eyes and inhaled Anthony's rugged scent as he finished drinking. Anthony was unconscious but still alive, this was unexpected, vorian must not have been as thirsty as he thought he was, But this gave him an opportunity to have a rare treat. Vorian smiled as his hand trailed down Anthony's chest, headed toward his pants.
(unless Stephanie notices the bite marks this will only look like forbidden love, play it either way ^.^) |
The door clicked loudly. Stephanie hesitated for a moment, then opened it. Vorian was bent over the captive she'd seen him with earlier. And what he was doing had her so grossed out that she couldn't move. She kept her hand on the latch, frozen.
And was that blood?? |
Vorian's eyes widened as he locked them on the navigator girl stephanie. He felt his slitted pupils contract with fear and his eyes were no doubt a brilliant shade of gold right about now. Vorian stood in a fluid motion, tipping his hat low to obscure his eyes. He wiped the blood off his lips but could not hide the tips of his fangs as they poked a good half inch over his lip. Vorian tilted his head to the side and regarded Stephanie with one eye.
"I Vould-" Vorian paused for a moment and couldn't help but smile. " Ok you're probably not gonna laugh at the stupid accent so I wont even try it..." Vorian's smile cracked a little at the edges. "Are you going to tell anyone about this?" |
Stephanie was having a complete blank. This was weird.
Slowly, she replied. "Only if I get to take the piss out of you about it later in life," Stephanie said, her voice sounding stupidly breathless. She cleared her throat. "But if I catch you doing it again..." She said in a stronger voice, "I'm gonna have to burn you at the stake or somethin', pal, cause that's weird." With that, Stephanie slammed the door shut and half-ran back onto deck. She raced to the railings and leaned over. What. The. Hell. |
(0.o take the piss out of him? 0///o *has a reeeeeeealy strange inage*)
Vorian tilted his head further to the side, almost perpendicular to the ground. "Ooooooookaaaay. Not the response I was expecting." Vorian sighed and brushed some hair out of his face. He looked over at Anthony. "Hmmmph. Now the mood is totally ruined. Oh well." Vorian cleaned the blood off Anthony's neck and arranged him in a more comfortable position. Then he remembered something. Vorian walked over to the door and checked the lock. He sighed and sat back on his heels. "Blasted thing's broken." Vorian propped a chair under the handle and sat at his table with a book. "At least I don't need to sleep..." |
(Taking the piss out of someone pretty much means teasing them to death about something. xD)
Stephanie gazed out at the sea, thinking. Her stomach grumbled again. "How I wish I could have a sweet apple..." Apparently she'd either already forgotten about the events below deck somehow, or she really didn't care that much. Probably becuase she'd seen so many weird things since she'd become a pirate. ~DAYBREAK~ Stephanie cracked her eyes open. She was slumped against the railings still, and a faint green glow was in the eastern horizon. She bolted upright, suddenly alert. She whipped out her compass. The ship was really off-course. "SHIT!!" Stephanie leapt to her feet and sprinted to the wheel. She tugged it into position; the ship lurched to the side. She heard complaints and thuds from lower decks as people were ditched out of their beds. Careless, Stephanie desperately tried to get the boat back on course as fast as she could. Stupid, stupid stupid!! Why'd she fallen asleep like that?? |
Vorian caught Anthony as he flew out of the bed. Because of the disturbance he grumbled and started to wake up. Vorian held out his hand and concentrated and suddenly he was holding a soothing mixture of chamomile flowers and lavender under Anthony's nose. Anthony fell back into a deep sleep. Vorian checked out the porthole.
"Ugh, daylight. This will make it so much harder to sneak him back into the cargo hold..." (*looks at the time* =______= geez it's late. I'll be back around 4:00 tomorrow...) |
(Lol, night! xD)(I won't add anything right now cause I'm pretty dead too =_= meh seeya at about 4 tomorrow! ^-^)
|
The Ship righted itself almost immediadely with another half-roll. More yells and oaths issued from the sleeping quarters. Stephanie ignored them completely.
They were heading in about the direction they would need to go to get to their destination. Stephanie could tell, because the current was the same speed as when she'd fallen asleep and because there was little wind, that they hadn't moved that far out of line... only a mile... or two... or fifty... The captain was going to murder her... |
Vorian picked up his personal belongings that had been strewn across the floor by the ship's lurching. After everything was tidy again, he leaned over Anthony to look out the porthole.
"What is that blasted woman thinki-- Is that a reef?" As if waiting for a cue the ship suddenly lurched violently and the terrifying sound of wood breaking reached his ears. "Oh dear..." |
"DAMMIT!!!"
Stephanie had noticed the reef only when it was too late. She gripped the wheel as they slid over the top of it; this time nobody shouted at her. They shouted in fear. Shit, shit, shit, shit!!! Frantically, Stephanie tried to steer the ship away from the reef, but the rudder was caught; the ship just kept rumbling over the top of the rocks, the bottom being pumelled and destroyed with every passing moment. If they got off this reef, the ship would surely sink anyway... Stupid, stupid, STUPID!! This was all her fault, she'd made this happen!! Why'd she fallen asleep like that?? It was her night to watch the wheel! Stephanie reeled. Vorian. He'd probably done something weird to her. She should have just turned him in when she caught him doing-- She shuddered. The boat suddenly lurched. Stephanie was pitched to the left, the wheel snatched from her grasp. The ship was tipping. |
Vorian was suddenly assailed by a cold chill.
"Oh god, she's gonna blame me for this, I just know it." The ship lurched even more violently and vorian was struck in the forehead by a metal inkwell. He sighed, rubbing his head. "I suppose I should help..." Vorian gestured with his hand and a VERY strange thing happened. As if from nowhere a forest of kelp appeared beneath the ship, and that wasn't the weird part, the kelp was lifting and pushing the ship off the reef. Vorian used the momentary confusion to smuggle Anthony back into the cage, he then walked up the wheel where Stephanie was. "Alright, we're safe for now, but find us some land... before... we..." Vorian fell to his knees. "... sink." Vorian fell forward, and passed out on the deck. |
