So, uhm, what was the big hype over the X Files? Did everyone just not have anything else to watch? Cause I've watched a few episodes and... uhhhmmmm...

Idk...some people just like it I guess. The hype over the X Files has long-since been gone, though. It was popular in the 90s. I, myself, was never too crazy over it.

I have a current X Files obsession. :shock:

I grew up with it being on the TV quite a lot. :P I've just always been fascinated by it!

Mulder and Scully's monotone accents always annoyed me. XD

Gillian Anderson, the lady who plays Scully, is SO pretty. She was actually voted the "Sexiest Woman in the World" in 1996, surprisingly. And even in 2008, she placed 21st in the "All Time 100 Sexiest Hall of Fame".
...I think she's unconventionally pretty though. :drool: In X Files, her hair and skin are awesome to me. :lol: And her eyes! :squee: They change from blue to green pretty much episode-to-episode. :P
She actually has an English accent, although she developed a Midwestern accent to fit in at school. Which probably explains why her accent is so monotone. :P

...But yeah. David Duchovny (Mulder) is pretty bland, in my book. :roll: He's a pretty face, but his acting is... Pretty mediocre. If it weren't for my love of the '80s and '90s and my respect for Gillian Anderson, I probably wouldn't be so in love with the X Files.
