I got to see Margaret perform at a very small comedy club in LA several years ago. She was trying out new material. MAN she cracks me up! She's really tall too. Course, I'm really short...So yeah. |
Wow, you dont have dove wings or bee slippers O.o; Man, your quest thread is hard to read. XD
|
I had both, but traded them away to get my PL sash :) What's hard to read about it, I'll fix it up:) Maybe I need to add a color when I actually get something I am questing for?
|
It isn't really seperated by what you have and dont have. With the exception of a thank you or indication you bought it. XD I am use to multi-colored quests or knocking things off the wishlist. XD
---------- Oh! And congrats on the PL sash =) |
More color is always a plus! *o*
You should do your thread in sparkly rainbow. Or maybe I'll do my thread in sparkly rainbow. I'll claim it causes seizures and see how many people report it for seizure induction. :D |
Yeah...Sparkley rainbow...Not really my thing...So feel free to have at it Melly! I will however add a second color to make the "got it" stand out more:) Thanks for the tip!
|
I'm too lazy to figure out how to do it myself, and I checked the art shops but I didn't see anyone doing banners/thread things. *woe* Eventually, I'll have my seizure inducing thread!
|
Now yer makin' me think I should redo my quest thread. http://www.menewsha.com/images/forum/icons/icon5.gif

And a lovely job you did, Howdy! :D
|
FINE! You all win!
*Goes off to code the first page* ACHIEVED: Is that better now? |
It looks pretty spiffy to me. :D
|
Yay! Coding ACHIEVED! :insane:
*Final Fantay fanfare* |
Speaking of Final Fantasy, the other day I watched a friend of mine play the beginning tutorial in FFXIII. It's an interesting battle system and the graphics are nothing short of amazing, but that god damn tutorial is sooo looong. :gonk: I hear it's the longest one to date.
|
Oh wow Dar. That's super easy to read through now. Awesome job!! <3

@Melly and Howdy, thanks! Simple easy and best of all Achieved! |
Well...let's just say that the same friend is still going through the tutorial and this is his third day of extensive play of the game. He doesn't play it 24/7 or even all day, but he has put a considerable amount of time into it during these past three days. He loves final fantasy games, so he caught on to the system pretty well.
|
My problem is I tend to play for several days, then put the game down for a month of more, then come back to said game and have COMPLETELY forgotten how to play the game. DOH! I just don't have the 99+ hours to devote to FF like I did when I was in gradeschool. And YES, I did play FF while I was in gradeschool! I am THAT old!
|
I don't have much time to devote to games like FF as well. I really need to get my PS2 back from Hammy, though. It gets oh-so-much more boring around here without it. :gonk:
I mean, I could always read or draw or what-not...but sometimes I just don't feel like doing certain things and would like to unwind with a good game or two. |
I actually don't remember the tutorial, so I can't say if it was lengthy or not. :B It's been a while since I picked up XIII, so i've probably forgotten the controls too.
Right now i'm playing another RPG, Eternal Sonata. I also break away to play the Sims 3 from time to time. I can't get away from it. @[email protected] |
I have a DSi, but find it to have more kiddie games (I bought it for work, so I shoulda known..) Maybe I should save up for something else.
|
I love my kiddie games for DS. >.> lol. Starfy and Plants VS Zombies being two of my favorites right now. Back when I was still going to doctors appointments like crazy last year both my doctors and the baby daddies would tease me abotu it. Apparently they thought I was stealing my kids games to occupy my time, psh, as if, they steal MY games! D: And then delete my save files, release my pokemon, sell random items that I want to keep etc. My kids are so mean...I keep thinking I should get them their own, but then, I don't want to spend the money on it for them. Brats.
I couldn't get into Final Fantasy...I think I tried with 8? 7? Which ever one had the cute chibi characters before the one with realistic characters that I couldn't stand. But I got bored in the first few minutes. I had the same problem with Kingdom hearts. And Star Ocean for PS2. /sigh. Maybe that's why I like the DS so much? lol. Old people games bore me. Mellie has ADD! xD |

I actually prefer the older FF games and older other games than most of the games out now. I only have 3 games for my DS and I can't really seem to take much interest in any of the others. I'm more of a console gamer than a handheld gamer. |
I'm the opposite. I'm more handheld than console. Being stuck in one spot really bothers me. But then I get up to do stuff often and if I can't take it with me it's not worth my time. xD
>.> A lot of my friends like the Kingdom Hearts/FF/whatever games. I just can't get into them. The intros are too long, tutorials drive me crazy I just want to jump in and play. I'll figure out what I need to. What really gets me is when they have little extra things. Like in Star Ocean the Second Story you could craft items/weapons/food etc and your skills at it got better with each level you leveled them up with the skill points. In any case, had that had a tutorial like it does in FF I would have died of boredom. Instead I just got to play around with it. In games it just bothers me so much to go through some things. |
I'm far more console than handheld. I have a DS, though. An old, bulky, clunky DS. I'd like to have maybe a DSiXL. Don't think 3DS is worth it right now.
I loves me some Final Fantasy. The one you're describing, Mel, with the chibi-ish characters is probably Final Fantasy IX. Now Kingdom Hearts... I played the first Kingdom Hearts and had me a good time. The gameplay was fun and the story was pretty easy to understand. Fast forward to some years later when I pick up KHII, and I had no idea what the f' was goin' on. Somewhere between I and II, the story became so convoluted. And then you learn there was a whole game between them that was released on the DS in Japan, but not here. They eventually brought the game here, but now there's also a whole slew of them and I just don't have the energy for it. |
