I have nothing to add to the Ikea talk, cause um... i've never been there.

I do hear they have pretty good meatballs.

[/useless]

Melody 06-17-2011 08:56 PM

I don't like meatballs.

Facade 06-17-2011 08:56 PM

I don't like bal--

Um, I'm a vegetarian.

:ninja:

-slinks into the shadows-

Captain Howdy 06-18-2011 07:23 AM

*puts slices of bologna in Facade's bed*

Facade 06-18-2011 12:40 PM

-puts a slice of Dr. Death in Howdy's chocolate cavern-

Begone, you old witch! :illgetu:

DariaMorgendorfer 06-18-2011 10:17 PM

*Sprays Lysol all over thread to make it smell better after all that*

Facade 06-19-2011 02:17 PM

Hey! You're making the chocolate caverns smell like musk instead of their pleasant scent of decay and anguish!

All in favor of burning Daria at the stake, say Monongahela!

Captain Howdy 06-19-2011 11:40 PM

*opts to save Daria and throws a bucket of battery acid water on Facade*

...

If dat bitch's weakness be water, how come she be leavin' buckets of the shit lyin' 'round her castle?

... I hope the janitor got fired for that.

Facade 06-20-2011 12:03 AM

Yeah, really, I don't know why she had so much water. I know in Gregory Maguire's book his reason involved the underground well they had in the basement, though I forget why the witch in his version had the water in her tower... I think she used it for scrying or some witchy nonsense. Can't be sure.

Speaking of which the fourth and final book (called 'Out of Oz' last time I heard... sounds like a queen's anthem!) comes out this October! And it starts with Glinda under a very unbecoming house arrest. My kind o' book, yo!
-can'twait-

DariaMorgendorfer 06-20-2011 06:59 AM

FORCES Facade to wait, and wait, and wait some more.

No, we are not there yet. And we're not now, nope, not now either...Still NO....Followed with a helping of NOPE.

To quote Papa Smurf.
[Ohhh Smurf Up]

Captain Howdy 06-20-2011 07:01 AM

*is confused*

We're not talkin' about the original Oz books, are we? Is there a new series?

Facade 06-20-2011 10:59 PM

Wicked, Howdy, jeez. :talk2hand: IT'S CALLED WICKED! :illgetu: The Broadway musical, old man! Ring any queen-like doorbells? Eh? EH!?

I'm a bit of an Oz nut, as you all know. :ninja: I have every Oz tale L. Frank Baum had published, and every Wicked Years book Maguire wrote... And I have the new Marvel comic books based on Baum's works. :ninja:

MY COLLECTION MUST GROWWW. :gonk:

Captain Howdy 06-20-2011 11:22 PM

Oh, I knew that Wicked was a musical. But I didn't know it was a book series too. :P

... *buys you the official Wizard of Oz enema bags*

*buys Facade a glittering red enema hose to go with those bags*

WinglessFairy 06-20-2011 11:55 PM

good luck on your quest!

Chickie Nuggs 06-21-2011 04:29 AM

I hear that Wicked is really great! I have yet to read the book or see the Broadway performance, but I would love to experience both.

DariaMorgendorfer 06-21-2011 04:39 AM

I've had the book for about 4 years now, and never gotten around to picking it up. DOH!

Chickie Nuggs 06-21-2011 05:04 AM

I know Hammy has the book. Maybe once I finally finish reading her Lord of the Flies book she'll let me borrow Wicked.

DariaMorgendorfer 06-21-2011 05:28 AM

I had to read LOTF for high school back in the day...My favorite line in the book was [Sucks to your Ass-mar!]

Captain Howdy 06-21-2011 05:33 AM

I had planned to read Lord of the Flies, but never got around to it. ;P

ghostPastry 06-21-2011 09:35 AM

I read the first Wicked book a really long time ago, but I may or may not have just skimmed everything except for the sex scene. :ninja: And I've got the second one gathering dust on my bookshelf. >_> But I've got the entire Wicked soundtrack memorized eheheheh. bluh bluh huge musical fag

My dad read me Lord of the Flies when I was little, but I didn't pay much attention. I really need to read it some time. x_x

Melody 06-21-2011 02:55 PM

I have the book and have seen the broadway musical. In fact I have the CD to said musical. It was quite awesome. The book had points in it that confused me, but it turns out it's just the authors way of writing that gets to me. I picked up another book by him Confessions of an Ugly Step SisterIt's supposed to be the Cinderella story told through one of the step sisters but I'm having a really hard time getting into it. /off topic. I've yet to pick up the sequel to Wicked.

I read Lord of the Flies in high school for summer reading. I don't remember much other than the character they deemed Piggy. And there was a Jesus character. Peter? It's been a while. xD

Captain Howdy 06-21-2011 10:26 PM

A sex scene in a Wizard of Oz novel?

That's... disturbing.

... ... It wasn't with a flying monkey, was it?

Melody 06-21-2011 10:38 PM

The witches mom and her (the mothers) lover. Who turns out later to be the Wizard. ;)

Captain Howdy 06-22-2011 02:42 AM

Wizard: Just click your heels over your head and we'll knock boots three times.
Witch's Mom: Oh, there's no place like home!

...

Strange.
