It was really emotional when her dad died, and even then I preferred her mom... But man! His death was just sad. It's episodes like that that make me respect her all the more as a comedienne. If you're able to go through tough times and still smack on a smile, I think that's true talent. And putting herself in vulnerable situations on-camera has the same effect for me.

Maaan, though. I love her humor too! :rofl: My mom went to see her about four years ago, and I didn't know much about her yet. But then I started watching her show, and now I'm just about obsessed with her. :shock:

I know! She's amazing...Sadly...My guy doesn't like her much...So he tolerates it for me and I often watched tvoed episodes when he's not around! Like a guilty pleasure!

And yes, I like myself a bit o' Tori! :lol: Not too familiar with her work, but I like her Winter and Spark songs (if I'm even remembering their names correctly! :gonk: ).

I actually was introduced to Regina here on Mene. :rofl: Back in '07!! Jennifer introduced me. :) I used to thank her lots about that, because I personally believe that that just flooded the gates in terms of bringing my taste in music to the forefront. :drool:

A lot of the ones you listed I have not heard of...I think I'd like Lady Gaga, but I haven't had the time to seek her music out.

If you like Regina Specktor, you'll LOVE Tori Amos. Try her older stuff, under the pink and little earthquakes. Most people like those two. I am a fan of Boys for Pele, but I am weird and I like most of her stuff. She describes her music as "sardines" some people love it, others don't...But she'd rather be sardines than run of the mill old pepperoni...

Since everyone else is doing it, these are what I like of Face's music TL;DR :3
I've heard of a lot more than those in that list, but I've only heard maybe one song from them and didn't feel like that was basis enough to say I like them. xD

I'm all over the place with music. There are few that I am fans of...then there are those that have one or a handful of songs that I like. Didn't recognize or like the other people on the list.

I'm weird with music...There's a lot of mainstream stuff I really DON'T like out there...

Well, what artists do you like? I'm not an oldies buff, but I'm just curious.

I like some "older" music, like Led Zepplin and the Beatles. I don't think it's oldies just yet...More classic rock.

I wouldn't even think to classify Led Zeppelin under oldies...unless I have the wrong idea of what the oldies genre is all about. I like maybe three songs from the Beatles, but that's it. xD

I used to only listen to 80s metal/hair metal, but I've been broad in my musical likes as of late.

Really? I woulda put Zepplin in the Classic rock category and the beach boys in oldies.
