~Plot~

Vampire X Noble

Charlotte grew up like any other noble child. Learning her place and that some day she was going to be married off. That rule never set well with her, but she help her tongue to please her parents. A year before her coming of age ball her grandmother passed away leaving everything to Charlotte. In a desperate escape from it all she convinced her mother into letting her visit her grandmother’s home.

It was a simple home that over looked the sea. One day while walking along the shore Charlotte looked back at the house only to see someone looking down at her from the attic. The sun was in her face so she moved to get a better look, but the figure was gone. She just figured it was her imagination running away with her like it normally did. Still a few weeks went by and still Charlotte felt like someone was watching her. Even so she didn't want to go home and be subjected to suitors day after day. One night as she was sitting by a fire in the den she came across a small red journal tucked away in the chair. It had belonged to her grandmother, and in reading it she came across some interesting news. A man had come to her door for help. It was the dead of night, but frantic knocking echoed through her home. Coming to his aid she found him unconscious. His throat torn and soaked in blood. Taking him in she cleaned him up and dressed his only wound. A strange bite on his neck. According to the journal the man continued to live here even in the time of her passing. But where was he now?

Characters:

Name: Charlotte
Age: 17
Bio: She's a proper young lady who tries to please everyone. Only thing is she hates doing it, but can't find anything else to do. Charlotte really just wants to be her own person and have others treat her as a person. Not just a girl.

Appearance: She's about five foot one with rich red hair that falls almost all the way down her back. Her skin is a soft ivory giving a doll look about her. Her eyes are green and she loves to wear a rich red lipstick. Feeling it gives her face a little more color since she's so pale.

Quote:

Name: Victor Marneaux
Age: 30 (19)
Appearance: Victor stands at the height of six foot two and frequently feels as though he is looming over others. He has dark brown hair that hangs down to about his ears in a shaggy mop. His eyes are a piercing crimson color that seems to darken from time to time. He is thin and does not seem strong.
Abilities: Victor is very good and manipulating people into doing what he wants them to do but once he gets to know them he either uses it more frequently or doesn't use it at all. It depends on whether he admires them or not.
Personality: Victor has been rather self-centered from a young age. He has a tendency to take advantage of others and use them till they are worn down to nothing.
Bio: Before Victor became a vampire he'd been part of a wealthy family that lived on the edges of the mainland. During his life time he'd been able to gain money at a young age and win people over far better than his parents expected. He was selfish though and after their home was ransacked he did anything to stay alive. He was bitten by a vampire and he'd wandered the countryside. He was found by a kind woman and her daughter after a while and was taken in. He'd been at that house ever since, keeping to the shadows.

Charlotte had spent almost a week in the home alone. Making her own food and washing her own clothes. It was strange, but she liked being alone for once. Charlotte had actually been up all night and so got into the habit of sleeping during the day. Best part was no one was around to complain. It must have been around midnight as she sat up in the den drawing. Just simple things like the landscape and other things. It was relaxing, but the strange sounds of the house had started to freak her out a little.

DelilahHeart 06-26-2009 07:12 PM

The first day she'd moved in Victor had been rather annoyed but had managed to stay out of her way. He want to avoid being seen by her but her beauty was beginning to captivate him and her smell was even more compelling. He wasn't sure what to do. He'd been in the attic this night after watching her do the little chores. If she came up here he would be revealed quite easily. The silence bothered him and he was beginning to want the house to himself again.

Himiko Lamprouge 06-26-2009 09:23 PM

Charlotte went off to track down the strange sound only to find an open window. Once she locked it closed it almost intentionally provoked another strange sound.

"This house is falling apart." she complained. It almost sounded like it was coming from the attic now that she thought about it. Lighting another candle she started to head up wondering if it was just another window that had come undone. All the while ghost stories running through her head about vampires and spirits. It was creepy being upstairs alone, not that she had anyone to go with her.

Opening the door she started to wonder around looking for anything that could be causing the strange sound.

DelilahHeart 06-26-2009 10:47 PM

The attic contained a bed, a bookshelf, a desk, a chair, and assortment of books and papers. The window out of the attic was open. Victor had left when he heard the girl coming, worried she'd be horrified by what he looked like. He was perching just to the left of the window outside, waiting for her to come to the window. If she did he'd move again, but if not he'd be fine here.

He felt like he was human again for some reason, holding his breath and worried he would be got doing some heinous act, such as staying in an attic that someone had offered to you. The girl had come here out of the blue though and the old lady had let her stay, which perplexed him. He eventually found out that it was her granddaughter and he'd stayed well away from her but always watching for her safety.

Himiko Lamprouge 06-28-2009 10:27 PM

Charlotte had been wondering the attic for what seemed like forever. Finding so many strange things, like her grandmothers dresses, old trinkets, and...a bed? It looked all made up as if someone had been using it. Charlotte felt the blanket and could feel the mattress was still warm.

"That's strange..." She said to herself as she looked around to see the bookshelf and other strange things. It was like a makeshift room, but why here? There were plenty of bedrooms in the house so why did she have this one up here? Thinking about it the sound of the wind kicked up again. Jumping with a gasp she turned to see the window hitting against the house.

"Goodness this place is going to kill me." She sighed as she set the candle down and reached out to close the window. It just kept moving every time she reached for it. Getting frustrated she moved out farther trying to grab it.

DelilahHeart 06-29-2009 06:50 PM

Victor's first instinct was to back away but when he saw how far she was leaning out the window he began to get concerned. It wasn't his duty to protect her, but the person who had protected was the grandmother of this girl. He'd heard plenty of stories in the early mornings, before the sun had risen, about her. He reached out slightly and pushed the window so that it went closer to her rather than further away. He would have no problem getting back into the house since he knew of multiple entrances that others weren't aware of.

Himiko Lamprouge 06-29-2009 10:39 PM

Charlotte grabbed it quickly and locked it so it couldn't open up again. Strange thing was she felt like someone had pushed it for her. But that was just crazy The gust of wind that followed as she closed it ended up blowing out her candles. Standing there in the dark she felt her anxiety rising.

Feeling for the candle Charlotte found herself walking into everything. Knocking over piles of books, and then bumping into the shelf.
"God I hate this." She huffed as she sat on the bed. All she had to do was relax and let her eyes adjust.

DelilahHeart 06-29-2009 10:52 PM

He watched her latch the window as he expected her to before sneaking back up the roof. He was nearly silent but there was a soft patter of footsteps as he went up the roof. It would be noticeable to anyone inside the attic. When he finally got to the other side of the building he found the window that was just large enough for him to crawl through that led into a closet.

He always kept it unlatched incase he was locked out like this. Not many knew about this because of the window was concealed by a large tree. It was the only benefit that he had.

Himiko Lamprouge 06-30-2009 06:00 PM

Charlotte could have sworn she heard something again, but she didn't have any light to see it. Getting up she grabbed her candles and started to feel her way around. Everything seemed to be in her way right now, and she just kept tripping.

"I'm gonna kill myself." She sighed as she turned to feel that she'd only gone a few feet. Shaking her head Charlotte just went back to the bed.
"I guess I'm stuck here till morning." She told herself as she curled up on the bed trying to sleep to pass the time.

DelilahHeart 07-01-2009 04:13 AM

Victor sighed as he watched her, it was almost silent, the only way he was really used to moving around in the place. He got one of the candles down from a high shelf in the closet and fumbled for a match. When he'd managed to get a stand for the candle he lit it and made his way out into the darkness. She would be stuck their till daylight and he preferred to not be stuck in the light or even seen in the light, he was repulsed by seeing himself.

When he made it into the room though he could see her before the light hit. She looked more delicate from close up than she had from far away. There was something sweet about her and he was tempted to blow out the candle. This was not right, talking to a human who he wasn't planning to be his prey.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-01-2009 01:25 PM

Charlotte was sleeping soundly she didn't even notice the light. At least not until she moved to face him. The soft candle light made her eyes flinch as she slept; dreaming of what the light could be. It was strange that the longer she stayed like this the more aware her body became. It was like someone was looming over her. But who?

Finally unable to take the light anymore Charlotte opened her eyes. Slowly looking over head waiting for her eyes to adjust. Then he came into focus. He?

"...Who...Who are you?" Charlotte half expected it all to be a dream in her current state. Looking up as she rubbed her eyes.

DelilahHeart 07-02-2009 12:13 AM

"Just a visitor of your grandmother's," he said trying not to let her see his eyes in the dim light. "You need to get downstairs where it's safer though. Here's a candle." He set it down on the makeshift nightstand that was next to the bed and backed up slowly. He was half-afraid of her and the other half wanted her blood. He could almost see it coursing through her veins, the delicious thick red liquid. He clenched his fist momentarily, reminding himself that she was not prey that he could eat.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-06-2009 07:04 PM

Charlotte felt like she was dreaming, and so she just went back to sleeping on the strange bed in the attic. The candle he left slowly burning out as she slept. Wax dripping along the side of the candle even after it went out.

My morning Charlotte had woken, but not from the sun. The window was covered for some strange reason. Not that it really mattered to her.
"What a strange dream." She yawned to herself as she sat up only to see that same candle. Fear set in a little when she remembered it from last night. Where had it come from? Who was that boy and why was he here?

((Sorry I've been so busy. Summer just doesn't leave much time to myself these days >_< ))

DelilahHeart 07-06-2009 09:11 PM

Victor had sat in the darkest corner of the room watching her. He'd shut the blinds long before the sun rose. When she finally stirred from her sleep he didn't make a noise. He felt it was his duty to watch her and make sure that there was nothing wrong. it was his duty to be sure she hadn't been hurt the night before and keep her safe.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-13-2009 05:18 PM

Charlotte found the whole thing strange, but pushed it aside. Once she was back downstairs she made her way into her room. Changing from the clothes she'd been wearing all night. The strange night was still bothering her. Who was that guy she saw?

Once she was done she decided to head into town for some shopping. It really didn't take long to get everything done and delivered to her home, but she decided to see a play. Before she knew it it was dark out, and she was left to walk home alone.

DelilahHeart 07-14-2009 01:59 AM

Victor was restless now because he'd watched her go to town but she had yet to come back and darkness was falling quickly. He shifted nervously in the seat that he had positioned by the window. He could see anyone who came or went at the house because I had a superb view of the front entrance. He'd already fed by the time he'd sat down, taking advantage of the cloud cover that was coming fast.

There would be a storm tonight and he had a growing concern for the girl. Things had been delivered to the house, which was a good sign, but the fact that she hadn't returned disturbed him. He'd had a strict code for her grandmother about staying out late because of the dangers. Some reason the woman had gone along with it just to please him but this new girl knew nothing about it, she didn't even know he existed.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-14-2009 04:35 PM

Charlotte had a good walk back home from where the theater was. It would be at least an hour or so, and thinking about it now it was stupid of her to go so far. The sky grew darker and soon thunder could be heard in the distance.

Suddenly it started to rain, and it wasn't a light rain. It was coming down in buckets and making her dress weigh even more. Her hair that was once curly and flowing was now straight and soaked.
"Bloody bugger what was I thinking." She huffed to herself as she continued to walk home. It wouldn't have been so bad, but the street she was on had no one on it and nothing was open so she could buy an umbrella.

DelilahHeart 07-14-2009 07:37 PM

When it had started to down poor Victor immediately got together something that would make her trip home much faster. As he rode a horse out to her the wind battered against him. He didn't feel it though and the temperature or rain didn't seem to faze him. s he wen tout he realized she was much further away than he thought she would. When he reached her however he could tell she was drenched.

"I'll give you a ride home," he said in a slightly commanding voice. "You'll catch cold if you stay out here too much longer." The horse was fretful from the rain but suprisingly calm under it's master's watch,e

Himiko Lamprouge 07-16-2009 04:11 AM

"Do I know you?" Charlotte asked looking up at him. It was hard to see him since it was so dark, but oddly enough she could have sworn his eyes were red. Still he acted like he knew her and knew she was out here. Still she didn't want to walk home the rest of the way.

"..Thank you." She told him as she took his hand. It was nice of him to offer her a ride, and normally she'd refuse. But there was something about him that made her feel like she could trust him.

DelilahHeart 07-16-2009 11:08 PM

He'd gripped her arm gently and lifted her up. When she was safe he turned the horse so that they were leading back to house. He was impatient because he could hear thunder in the distance. His mind was racing as he thought of where they blankets were in the house and what he would need to make her warm up. He was silent though, focusing on what was in front of them.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-17-2009 02:22 AM

"excuse me Sir, but do I know you?" Charlotte asked him again. He seemed to be ignoring her which she didn't lick much, but he was doing her a favor. Still how did he know where she lived? Trying to hold onto him she couldn't help but feel like this was wrong. She didn't know the man and yet she was holding him. Oddly enough he was ice cold; or maybe that was just her from being outside.

"Sir, please answer me." She told him once more as she looked over his shoulder. Again his eyes could be seen. Maybe she was just tired from her day. Charlotte didn't feel so well all of a sudden. Her face went red and her stomach turned as she thought about what sort of man just picked her up. What if he wasn't taking her home? Was she so foolish to be kidnapped so easily? What was she to do now?

DelilahHeart 07-17-2009 04:18 AM

"It's not important who I am and you do not know me," he responded finally in a polite tone that harnessed a different feeling beneath it. "You need to get back home and get warm before you get sick. I'll explain a little then."

He was urging the horse on further but the feeling of her arms around him were driving him nuts. It felt good but it was also a temptation that he wanted to divulge. He could see the house from here now and they were drawing closer to it. The sooner he got her there the sooner he could leave her. His hair was slick against his face in the down pouring rain and any normal human being would have had trouble distinguishing the house from this distance in such vivid detail.

Himiko Lamprouge 07-18-2009 05:03 PM

Charlotte didn't like the answer she was given, in fact it only made her worry more. Holding onto him tighter as he went faster she felt like everything was going by in a blur. All she could see was the rain when the lighting struck, and a strange figure in the distance.

"You say its not important, but you are the one who picked me up." She told him as she tried to keep the rain off her face. It was making her hair fall in front of her face.

DelilahHeart 07-18-2009 11:47 PM

"It's not important," he said insistently. "Once you are inside you must forget about me though." He didn't really want to do that but he didn't want his tracks to be found. He didn't even look at her when he spoke but he didn't need to. He could feel her and at the same time it was almost as if he could hear her thoughts, but he couldn't.

"Promise me that as soon as you get in the house you will do all you can to warm yourself up," he said in a commanding tone. "When you are done with that I want you to read a book and go to sleep."
