"I never said I didn't want to kiss you, Lee. I love kissing you. You're the one who threatened to take it away." Matthew reminded her as he ran a hand through her hair.
~~~ "We should probably get to bed." Ben said as he noticed the time on the clock. "Its already pretty late...or rather, early." He corrected himself as he realized it was 1:30 in the morning. |
"Mmm, but you threatened me first with vile homework and lectures, without helping me," Leane reminded him as her forehead rested against his.
-- "Mm, sounds like a plan," Jenny said with a laugh as she placed a tender kiss on his lips. "My room, or your own?" Jenny asked with a deep blush as she picked up his bag, grabbed her water, and lead Ben out of the kitchen and up the stairs. |
"Leane Supton you should know by now that I'm always going to be here to help you whenever you want me to." Matthew smiled at his girlfriend and reached to take one of her hands in his.
~~~ "Your room. I'm curious to see what skeletons you have in your closet." Ben teased as he willingly followed Jenny up the stairs, linking his hand with her's. |
"Mmm, and you know I'll always be here to kiss you whenever you want to. But you said you might help me. So I might kiss you over the next month, but no guarantees," Leane teased with a wink as she linked her fingers with his.
-- Laughing, Jenny opened the door at the end of the hall and revealed a soft yellow room with white lace curtains. Surrounding the room were book cases of full of books, Gymnastic trophies, photographs starting at Preschool all the way up until Junior year of her and her two best friends, and stuffed animals. Her room looked young, innocent, and sweet. on the far wall was a large canopy bed with white lace curtains, oak framing, and ivory and baby yellow bedding. "I've always liked yellow and white," Jenny admitted with a blush as she set his bag down and walked over to her dresser. Taking a pair of pink pajamas out of her dresser, Jenny turned to Ben with a blush, "You can make fun if you wish, it's hardly changed since I've grown up." "I'll change in the bathroom, you can change in here. Just knock on the door when you're finished," Jenny said with a warm smile as she headed into the bathroom that was adjoined to her room. |
"Well I'll be here, hoping you'll want to kiss me." Matthew smiled at his girlfriend before his eyes wandered to the door. Where was this doctor? It was almost 3 in the morning and Matt still had to get Leane home.
~~~ Ben couldn't help but smile as he took in the room. It was so...Jenny. It was everything he figured it would be and that made Ben love her a bit more as he changed into a pair of sweatpants and a plain white tee shirt. "I'm all dressed." Ben said as he knocked lightly on the bathroom door. |
Leane laughed as she placed a tender kiss upon his temple. "I love you," Leane whispered softly before leaning back in the pillows.
About a half hour later, the doctor came in in a flurry, "Sorry guys, getting hectic. A car accident just came into the ER." Handing Matt the prescriptions and documentation, the doctor went about casting Leane's foot. --- Opening the door, Jenny smiled as she looked up at Ben. Her hair down and brushed, her make-up washed off her face, her cheeks rosy from the washing, Jenny laughed a bit as she clasped her hands behind her back. Her pajamas were simple, a soft pink that made her cheeks look even more rosy than they were, and her initials embroidered into the left breast of her pajama top with white thread. "So? What do you think?" Jenny asked with a warm smile as she looked up at Ben, looking even more young and innocent as with in the context of her room. |
"Thank you." Matthew said as he folded up the papers in the hand that wasn't holding Leane's. "Ready to go home?" He asked her with a small smile, bringing her hand up to his for a soft kiss.
~~~ Ben was struck speechless for a brief moment as he took the time to realize just how lucky he was for having a girl like Jenny. She was perfect and that was exactly what he wanted her to know. "Perfect." He smiled as he reached forward and linked thier hand. "I don't want you to take this the wrong way but I think you should you're even more beautiful without make up on." He said in a quiet voice. |
"Very much so. Your parents will be getting worried," Leane added with a warm smile as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
"Alright, you're good to go. Read the care instructions for the cast, the big one is don't get it wet, alright? Matt, do you want to carry her out or have someone bring her in a wheelchair?" the doctor asked as he looked at Matt while signing all of the necessary paperwork. --- "I meant about the room," Jenny whispered as a scarlet blush filled her cheeks. "Besides, I look terrible without make-up on. I look very.. plain. I look like a child," Jenny added with a laugh, "With make-up on, I look closer to my age." |
"I can carry her, thank you." Matt said as he stood up and leaned forward to take Leane into his arms. "Let's get home and get some sleep." He smiled at his girlfriend as he lifted her in his arms, cradling her to his chest.
~~~ "I'm not buying it." Ben smiled as he stepped closer to Jenny and traced the outline of her jaw. "You're stunning and I don't know how many times I'll have to tell you that before you believe but I'm never going to stop." He assured her before placing a tender kiss on her lips. "I love you, Jenny." He said before leading her to the bed so they could sleep some. |
Nodding, the doctor excused himself and went to the front desk to give them the paper work to file.
"I have to change out of this hospital gown first," Leane teased as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips. "Help me change?" ---- Jenny smiled happily as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips before curling up beside him, one arm wrapped around his back while her other hand rested upon his chest. "Goodnight, Ben," Jenny murmured softly as her cheek rested upon his chest, "I love you." |
"My pleasure." Matthew said as he let Leane down, making sure she balanced on her good foot before untying the hospital gown and helping her dress in the clothes she'd arrived in. "Alright. Let's get you home. I don't know how you haven't fallen asleep already." He shook his head as he lifted Leane again, the paperwork and pain killers in one hand as he brought her out of the room and down to the parking lot.
~~~ "I love you too, beautiful." Ben said as he ducked his head into her hair, both arms wrapped snugly around her before drifting off to sleep. |
"Probably because I've been woken up a lot thanks to this bloody foot of mine, not to mention the news of having a baby," Leane added with a blush as she wrapped her arms around his neck and and placed a light kiss on his cheek. "I love you, Matt.. I'm so nervous about your parents.. I'm sure they're up and waiting for us tonight.. I don't know how we're going to explain all of this to them.."

"I love you too, Lee. And we'll figure it out." Matthew said as they reached his car. Setting Leane down gently, Matthew opened the door and helped her inside before going to the driver's seat. "Besides, we don't really have another choice. We're going to have to tell them." Matthew said as he set the pills and papers on Leane's lap before pulling away from the hospital and back to his home.

"I know," Leane said softly as she looked out the window with a sigh. "Can we not tell my parents until after the Ball?" Leane asked softly as she looked over at Matt," I don't want them ruining my birthday..."

"We can wait but we'll have to tell them at some point." Matt said as he reached over to hold one of her hands. "We're going to get through this, Lee." He said as he pulled into his driveway and promptly made his way to Leane's side of the car to help her out and lift her back into his arms.

"I know.. But I don't want it causing a scene at the Ball in front of everyone.. I want my seventeenth birthday to go off without a hitch," Leane said softly as she buried her face into his neck. "I don't want to be forced to stay away from you just yet.. and I know that's what they'll do.."

"Leane Supton." Matthew said with a frown as he tucked her closer to him, walking carefully up the steps. "I promised you that we'd be together no matter what. I have no intentions of going back on that. I love you and I love this baby inside of you. I know its going to be difficult but I'm not going to give up." Matthew stated as he opened the door and stepped inside of his house, noticing the shadows of his parents from the living room.

"But they'll keep me from you.. and do everything they can to keep you from me.." Leane whispered as she buried her face in his neck, afraid to look at his parents as she closed her eyes tight, slowly taking deep breaths to calm her nerves as she clutched her stomach.

"Lee, relax." Matthew soothed as he held her tight. "I don't know what its going to take but I'm going to fight for us." He told her before taking a deep breath and walking into the living room.
"Matt where have you-" His mother said firmly before spotting Leane's foot, melting almost instantly. "Oh, Leane what happened to your foot, dear. Are you alright?" She asked as she stood up and walked over to the girl, examining her foot though she was careful not to touch it. "What happened?" "Leane fell on the hill." Matthew explained with a tiny smile. "Didn't you warn her about how dangerous it is? Why weren't you helping her?" Matthew's mother asked with a fierce glare at her son. |
"He did warn me.. It was my own fault. I jumped to conclusions about some things that were said and I got upset with Gina. I felt wretched and so I just started going down the hill, not wanting to ruin everyone's night further.. I ended up tripping on a root and fell down quite a ways because I was crying so much..
"If Matt hadn't ran after me, I probably would have sat there and froze until they finally came down the hill.. Please, don't be angry with him.. He really did try to stop me," Leane assured Mrs. Sommers with a warm smile as she looked over at her. "It's really nothing serious.. Just a clean break at my ankle. I'm to stay in bed for two weeks, then I can walk with crutches if I'm up to it," Leane explained with a nod. |
Matthew's mom was still frowning as she looked over the two. "Alright, I'll get the bed ready." She insisted before disappearing into the guest room and fixing the sheets, making a small hill of pillows for Leane's foot. "Here you are, dear." She called as Matt carried Leane inside and laid her softly against the mattress.
"How's it feel, love?" Matthew asked as he set the pain killers and paperwork on the night stand. |
"Hurts like hell," Leane said softly with a small smile as she reached over and took a swig of her Ginger Ale before taking a pain killer in order to sleep that night. "We have to tell them, Matt... While they're still up. I don't want to wait until tomorrow to tell your parents," Leane admitted with a blush as she linked her fingers together with his. "I don't think I'll have the courage to, if we wait.."

"Tell us what, Matt?" His mother asked as she looked over at her son.
"When we were at the hospital they tested to see if Leane was pregnant." Matthew said with a frown, watching as his mother realized what had happened. "Oh." Was all she muttered before walking up to Lee and kneeling beside her. "Have you told your parents?" Matt's mom asked softly. |
"N-No.. My Birthday is tomorrow, you see, and they'll both be in town on Sunday for my Birthday Ball, which you and your husband are both invited to of course," Leane added with a warm smile as she looked up at her boyfriend's mother. "I really am sorry about all of this.. I didn't mean for any of this to happen.. Please don't be too cross with us for long," Leane nearly pleaded in a whisper as a tear ran down her cheek, "I didn't mean to be such a disappointment."

"Leane, don't cry." Matthew's mother said softly as she wiped away the girl's tears softly. "You're not a disappointed, neither of you are." She said, glancing up at Matt who had sat on the bed beside Leane and was holding her hand. "This isn't how I wanted my first grandchild but we don't relaly have another option then to just accept it. You will have to tell your parents eventually." She warned her.
