Sliding into the driver's seat, Leane noticed his reaction to sitting and rolled her eyes as she turned on the car and muttered under her breath, "Yeah.. you're fine, alright.. And I'm the Tooth Fairy.."
"I knew the Tooth Fairy was real." Matthew grinned as he leaned back against Leane's seats. "I'm all good." He mumbled as he put his hand protectively over his stomach and rested his head against the back of the seat.
Leane rolled her eyes as she made lefts and rights, making her way towards the hospital, "Matt.. don't lie to me. You look aweful," she added as she glanced over at him before looking back at the road. "What exactly did he do to you..? I thought it was just a few punches.. But from what Carvoit said.. I'm beginning to wonder if you played it up to be nothing to keep me from getting upset.. I'm upset as is it, so you might as well tell me before I hear it from the doctor..."
"He did throw a punch. But there was kicking involved." Matthew grinned. "Actually it was a punch in the face, then he kicked me then he stepped on me. Now I plan on doing the same to him." He laughed, wincing slightly. "Jack and Ben will help me mess him up worse then this." He joked.
Leane's knuckles turned white as she gripped the steering wheel. "How the hell can you be so calm about this?!" she asked through gritted teeth. Pulling into the parking lot of the hospital, Leane parked her Prius and turned it off. Shoving her keys into her purse. Leane looked over at Matt, "If Kurt starts anything, don't talk. Punch. If you've got anything wrong with you because of his stupidity, I know a soccer team who will be more than happy to help you to return his kindness," she added bitterly as she got out of the car and walked around the front to wait for Matt.
"Leane." Matthew sighed as he moved to wrap his arms around her. "You shouldn't get upset so easily." He soothed as he pulled her forehead against his chest, running his fingers through her hair. "Its going to be fine. I'm going to be fine. Its just a few bruises. Please don't be angry."
Leane sighed as she slightly leaned into him, her fingers gently clutching the hem of his shirt, "Matt.. how can I not be upset? A steroid jock just beat up the man I'm in love with. If I had the same thing happen to me, you'd be upset too, right? So don't ask me not to be angry or upset.."
"Kurt wouldn't hit you." Matthew said quietly. "I can handle this." He said quietly, tilting her chin to give her a long kiss. "Stop worrying so much, it'll cause premature wrinkles." He laughed softly against her lips before returning his lips to her's, his arms pressing against the small of her back.
Standing on her toes, Leane leaned into his kiss as her hands slid around his neck. "I love you," she whispered against his lips before placing a tender kiss upon his lips, her tongue softly slipping between his lips to brush against his.
Placing one last soft kiss upon his lips, Leane laced her fingers through his and started leading him towards the ER entrance. |
"I love you to." Matthew said as he followed her through the door of the ER.
"Uhm, I'm a little bruised up." He said awkwardly to the receptionist. "The nurse at school thinks I cracked a rib or something." "What happened?" The receptionist asked. "I fell down some stairs." Matthew said, not caring how obvious his lie sounded. "Go to exam room 3, I'll send a doctor in." The receptionist said, unphased by Matthew's lie. Matthew led Leane towards the exam room and hopped up onto the exam table. Pulling Leane to stand in front of him. "Hm, do you think you could be my nurse?" Matthew teased, wriggling his eyebrows. |
Wrapping her arms around his neck, Leane flashed him a sly grin as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips and teased, "I think I'd much rather be the doctor."
Laughing, Leane placed a kiss upon his forehead before slipping her hands down to rest upon his knees, "Speaking of which, I'm telling the doctor what really happened, to a degree. If Kurt left any serious marks, the doctor will know you're lying anyway, so it's best just to tell the doctor you were rough housing and things went too far, not telling him you 'fell down the stairs'." |
"Fine." Matthew sighed. "But no names. I don't want this getting out of hand." He said before pulling Leane towards him and giving her a tender kiss. Wrapping his fingers in her hair, Matthew whispered, "I'm glad we decided to ditch school." He laughed against her lips.
"Hence why I said to a degree. We'll just tell him the basics, turning the fight into rough housing that got out of hand," Leane chuckled softly as her hands slid back up his chest and around his neck.
After placing a long, tender kiss upon his lips, Leane rested her forehead against his and whispered, "Though I still think this is a bit more out of hand than the doctor will believe. Though, I do have to admit, I'm glad we 'ditched' together too. I hate the circumstances in which we left, but I'm still glad we did. This way we can spend the rest of the afternoon together without prying eyes and snide remarks from everyone around us." |
"Definetly a bonus." Matthew grinned as he pulled her close for another kiss. "I love you, Lee." He whispered as he placed his forehead against her's. "I wish I wasn't bruised up and having a possible cracked rib but I am glad I got a some alone time with you." He said as he pressed her body closer against his and rested his face in her hair.
"Me too," she whispered against his neck before placing a tender kiss upon it. Her tongue lightly caressing his skin as her lips parted slightly, Leane continued to kiss Matt's neck until she was startled by a "Ehem" behind her. Blushing, Leane remained in Matt's arms as she turned her head towards the door and saw a nurse impatiently tapping her foot and holding a small chart, "Excuse me, but I need to get vitals. Do you think you two can hold off until I'm done?"
Blushing even deeper, Leane bit her lower lip as she nodded and slipped out of Matt's arms, moving to stand by the door out of the way. |
Matthew laughed as Leane slipped out of his embrace. "Ever heard of the kiss and make it better theory?" He joked. "I figured it was worth a shot."
The nurse simply rolled her eyes and began checking his blood pressure, pulse, etc. and writing the information into the chart. "Since you're here, I'm going to assume it hasn't helped, am I right? Now, would you like the young lady to step outside while we discuss what happened and I give you a quick check, or do you want her to stay?" she added as she began tapping her foot. To say the least, this woman was not only annoyed at the world, but was completely furious with it as well it seemed. She was certainly not a happy camper that afternoon.
Matthew took off his shirt, cringing a bit as he stretched, before standing up. "Its fine if she stays. Its just a few bruises. I was rough housing with a friend and things got a little out of control." He shrugged as he looked down to see the bruise stretch grossly across his stomach. "The nurse at school said there was some kind of swelling or something."
Running her hand down his side to push against his ribs, the nurse nodded, "I'd say that's about right. Your lower ribs," she added as she wrote it down in the file. Looking over the bruise across his stomach, she continued as she wrote, "Looks like you were stepped on? there's a clear heel print on your middle abdomen. Do you know about how heavy your friend is, or about how hard he may have hit you?"
"Enough to cause swelling." Matthew shrugged. "We don't check our weights and like I said, it was just rough housing. We didn't mean to take it this far." Matthew said simply.
Closing the file, the nurse nodded, "Alright, the doctor will be with you momentarily, so don't get too carried away," she warned as she headed out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
Leane blushed as the nurse left he room. Sighing as she walked over to Matt and rested one hand by his hip, Leane reached out her other hand to softly trace his bruises with her fingertips, "Oh Matt.. If I hadn't told you what had upset me this morning.. this would never have happened.." |
"Kurt approached me." Matthew said. "He said things that upset me." He added quietly. "He told me to have sex with you then dump you so he could comfort you." He murmured, tightening his hands into fists. "He called you 'our sexy little minx'."
Resting her forehead upon his chest, Leane slipped her hands into his, lacing their fingers together as she spoke, "I'm going to kill him.. I honestly don't get what made him think I'd ever go to him for comfort.. I'd go to Gena before I went to him. Besides, Kurt must be insane if he thought you would ever do such a thing to me.. He's an idiot for not seeing just how different you are from him.. I'm sorry he said such horrible things to you.. and I'm sorry you had to go through this.. I..."
"Leane." Matthew mumbled into her hair. "Stop blaming yourself." He said as he gently kissed her ear. "Kurt's a jerk. Its not your fault. None of this is." He said as the kisses trailed to her mouth. "Don't think this is your fault." He whispered quietly before placing a tender kiss on her lips.
Leane returned his kiss eagerly as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself closer to him as she stood on her toes and rested her forehead against his, "I still feel wretched about it all.. If I hadn't been so cocky all these years, and if I hadn't agreed to model for Georjiano, and if I hadn't joined Cheerleading.. If I hadn't have been everything you knew me to be before you actually started getting to know me.. that creep wouldn't even want me as much as he does.. I mean, the only reason he wants me is because I let you take me and not someone on the football team.. If it had been anyone but you, he wouldn't be trying this hard to make you hate me and get rid of me.. Y-you.. you won't get rid of me... will you?" she asked hesitantly after her long babble, looking down at his lap as she spoke.
