Matthew put an arm around Leane's shoulders lightly, rubbing her shoulder soothingly. "Josh." He started, hating that Leane was hurting, "I love Leane and I don't regret what we did so I'm not going to apologize for it. I know your upset and I wish you weren't but I would never hurt Leane or use her. I know we took a big step last night but its between me and Leane. We were responsible and we were safe so I only hope that you'll learn to accept what happened so we can move on." He explained carefully.
Josh sighed as he stood up and headed for the door, "I'm going to make some dinner.. I can't deal with this anymore tonight. Matt, you'd probably better get home and explain where you've been, I'm sure your parents are worried about you." Turning back to the couple as he opened the door, Josh sighed, "I'm sorry. Matt, I know you'd never use her or hurt her, and I know it's between you and Leane. But she's my baby sister.. I.. Damn it, I don't want to see anything happen to her.." Shutting the door behind him, Josh hurried down the stairs to the kitchen as he tried to forget about his sister having sex and pretend like it never happened.
Leane sighed as a tear slipped down her cheek. Turning away from Matt, Leane laid back down in her bed and curled up into a ball as she clutched her blankets. "I'm sorry," she muffled as she whispered into the pillow, "I guess he took it worse than I thought... huh.." |
"Don't be sad, Lee." Matthew said as he bent beside her and wrapped his arms around her gently. "Its alright, love." He encouraged as he placed a kiss on her neck. "Don't cry." He soothed as he buried his face in her hair.
Putting her hands over his and holding them, Leane sighed as she spoke softly, "I'll be fine soon enough... It's just.. I.. Josh will be testy for awhile.. I just.. I'm.. I'm afraid you'll stop wanting to be with me and will only want to see me in school, if that.. I don't want to lose you just because of Josh's temper.."
"Leane." Matthew chided. "What have I told you?" He asked against the back of her neck. "I'm not going to leave you. I'm in love with you, Leane. Why can't you see that?" He sighed.
Sighing, Leane reached behind her and caressed his cheek lightly, "I know.. It's just.. You do realize he's not going to be kind to you anymore... He's not going to stand up for us as much.. He's going to be vile, especially to me.. I don't want you getting angry about it or feeling as if you're being targeted by everyone.. It's not fair that you have to go through that on account of me.. It just.. I seems like no matter what we do, someone always thinks it's wrong! No matter how happy we are, or how happy we become, someone always shows up to ruin in it! It's not fair.."
"No one's going to ruin anything." Matthew promised her, leaning into her palm. "I just want to be with you, Lee. And I don't care how many people bang up my ribs. I'm still going to want to be with you." He promised, giving her neck a quick kiss.
Leaning into him, Leane sighed, "I'm sorry Matt.. I just let it get to me is all.. I know you want to be with me, as I want to be with you. I'm sorry for acting like this.."
"Don't apologize. You know I would never be upset with you over Josh being mad." Matthew encouraged. "I love you, Lee. And Josh is right. I need to be getting home. You two need to talk." He said before shifting Leane to give her a long kiss. "No regrets?" He whispered against her lips.
"Never will I have regrets about what we've done," Leane murmured softly against his lips before placing a long, deep, tender kiss upon his lips, her tongue slipping between his lips to caress his own. "I love you," she added with another kiss, "But Josh and I are not talking. When he wants to apologize, perhaps I'll accept. Until then I refuse to speak a single word to him. I'll see you in school tomorrow," she added with a smile, "Goodnight Matt, I'll miss you."
"Goodnight, love." Matthew smiled as he placed a kiss in Leane's hair. "And try not to be so stubborn, Lee." He teased before slipping out of their embrace and retrieving all of his things, giving Leane a last smile before leaving her rooom and going downstairs.
Letting out a small sigh, Matthew detoured away from the door and walked into the kitchen to see Josh. "Josh, I just want to tell you that I think you should go easy on Lee. I don't want her hurting and I'd rather you blamed me for what happened rather then take it out on her." He said confidently in the kitchen doorway. "I am sorry that you were so upset and I understand why you would be but I love your sister and nothing's going to change that. I just think that you should take it easy on her." He explained before turning and heading towards the door. |
"Matt," Josh called as he wiped his hands and left the pot of macaroni to cook. Heading over to Matt, Josh put his hand on his shoulder and pulled him to a halt, "Look, I'm not as upset as you may think.. I'm more shocked than anything. Before she met you, Leane was never someone I had to worry about. She hated all the guys at school at in the country club, she never once even thought about losing her virginity until she was married, or engaged at least. But now... now I find my baby sister losing everything - her virginity, her first kiss, her heart - and giving it all to you. I trust you as a man to take care of my girl, but I need to trust you as brother to take care of my baby sister's heart. I don't want to see her get hurt. You're the first guy she's opened up to aside from me.. From now on, she'll run to you whenever she's upset, she won't run to me anymore. I need to know that you'll take care of her, love her, and won't lie to her about anything. If you can promise me that, I won't mention tonight again and I'll leave you two to make your own decisions."
"Josh." Matthew sighed. "Just because I'm with Leane isn't going to change your bond with her. Your still her big brother and she's still going to come to you even though I'm in her life as well. And I promise you that I'll always love her, care for her, and I will never lie to her. I'm so in love with her." Matthew sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know what she's done to me but I can't say I regret it." He laughed nervously. "Thank you for understanding. But I think you should talk to her." He suggested, glancing up the stairs before turning back to Josh.
Sighing, Josh leaned against the wall as he looked at Matt, "She won't talk to me.. Not after what just happened.. What would I even say to her? Nothing I can say can make her forgive me for ruining today for her.."
"Leane will forgive you. She's your family, she loves you." Matthew encouraged. "Though I suggest you start with an apology." He offered. "She'll come around once she calms down." He laughed. "You know how her temper is. Just let her cool off some and I'm sure she'll be fine." He smiled warmly.
Josh laughed as he ruffled Matt's hair, "You catch on quick with her temper. I can't believe I'm taking orders from a seventeen year old, but alright. You win, I'll talk to her once dinner is finished. I doubt she'd coming down 'til morning, so I'll bring it up to her. As long as I have food in my hand, I should be alright from her wrath for a few minutes," he added with a chuckle. "Drive safe, Matt, and thank you."
"And thank you." Matthew smiled warmly, fixing his hair before turning and leaving the house to his car to drive home.
Sighing, Josh went back to the macaroni and stirred it.
*** Placing the macaroni and cheese into two bowls, Josh put the pot in the sink and grabbed a couple of forks and bottles of Snapple before heading upstairs to Leane's room. Opening the door, Josh sighed as he saw Leane moping in her bed. "Lee? I'm really sorry.." he said softly as he handed her a bowl of macaroni and cheese and placed a Snapple on her nightstand. "I have nothing to say to you," Leane stated flatly as she shoved her dinner into her mouth. "Then listen, because I have something to say to you. I love you Lee, you're my baby sister and I've been a father-like figure to you for years. Lee.. Lee, I'm sorry I reacted like this. I was shocked more than anything. You're growing up, and I don't like it. But despite not liking it, it's your life and you're finally living it for you. Lee, I'm truly sorry for ruining your night, and I'm sorry if I put a downer on your first time.. I just.. Lee, you have to see this from my view! You're my baby sister and you've just lost your virginity! Lee, please forgive me.. I trust Matt, and I know he'll stick by you no matter what. And I trust you, I know you'll do the right thing and be careful," he added as he finally took a bite of his food. Leane, having finished four sentences ago, simply sighed, "Josh, I can't say I'm sorry for what I've done, 'cause I don't regret one second of it. I love him, I always will. I can't help it, there's just something about him that drives me crazy head over heels for him. Please understand.. I'm still your sister, I've just grown up a bit," she added as she put her bowl down and gave him a tight hug, "I love you Josh." "I love you too Lee, now you better get some sleep, you're going to have a lot of homework tomorrow after gymnastics," teased Josh after he placed a kiss on her forehead, "Night Lee." Tucking her in, Josh grabbed her empty bowl and took his dinner downstairs. Sighing, Leane picked up her cell and texted Matt Everything's fine on this end. Are your parents angry? |
Matthew wandered through the door and into the kitchen where he saw his mother hovering over a batch of cookies. "Do you not have a cell phone?" She asked angrily before turning and looking Matthew over.
"I'm sorry mom. I was with Lee." He explained carefully, adjusting the bag over his shoulder. "Oh, Matt." Matthew's mother sighed when she turned back to her cookies. "Were you at least safe?" She asked, knowing full well what her son had done the night before causing his disheveled appearence. "Yes, mom." Matthew assured her, unsurprised that she'd known so quickly. "We were very careful." He promised, earning a nod from his mother. "Well go to your room then and you are going to school tomorrow." She said once, letting Matthew sneak off to his room. Matthew flipped open his phone, returning Leane's text quickly. Everything is fine. I'll see you tomorrow in school. I love you. |
I love you too she sent back quickly before climbing into her newly made bed and snuggling down into the sheets, the opposite pillow still having Matt's cologne smell upon it.
*** The next morning, Leane showered quickly before drying her hair. Leaving it down, Leane put a simple band in it after she fixed her natural wavy curls. Slipping on a pair of dark skinny jeans, a pair of boots, a button up shirt, and a vest, Leane put on a long gold pendant and earrings to match before heading downstairs for a quick breakfast and to finish her homework from that perfect night. Finishing her homework, Leane popped the last of her fruit into her mouth and grabbed her bags before heading to her car and leaving for school. |
Matthew hurried through his homework the next morning before dressing in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt before pulling out of his driveway to pick up Gena.
"Why weren't you in school yesterday?" Gena asked curiously as they neared the school. "I was with Leane." Matthew shrugged simply, earning a scowl from Gena. "Come on." He urged. "Don't be like that. I love her, Gena." He sighed. "You can love whoever you like I just think you'd have better taste." Gena huffed as Matthew parked in the school parking lot before heading off for the school as Matthew waited for Leane. |
Pulling into the parking lot, Leane parked in her usual spot before hopping out of the car with her things and locking the doors. Hurrying over to Matt, Leane put her things on the hood of his car before wrapping her arms around his neck and placing a long, tender kiss upon his lips, "I missed you. Are you sure your parents aren't angry with us? I don't want your parents hating me.."
"My mother was just surprised. She's not angry." Matthew assured her as he rested his forehead against her's. "Don't worry so much, love." He teased as he placed a soft kiss on her lips.
Returning his kisses eagerly, Leane smiled happily, "I can't help but worry. I don't want your parents hating me, it'd cause quite a few problems don't you think?" she added with a laugh as she picked up her things while placing another tender kiss upon his lips. Linking her free hand through his, Leane led Matt towards the school.
Matthew laughed as he followed Leane towards the school. "Maybe but we could always do the Romeo and Juliet scene and have some secret, romantic meetings." Matthew teased as he brought Leane to her locker and rested against the locker besides her's.
