"And I can't keep listening to you blaming yourself when it's not your fault!" Leane retorted with a sigh. Burying her face in his chest, Leane held him close as she sighed, "I'm sorry Matt... Let us both quit blaming ourselves and just put the blaming aside. It isn't either of our faults, it just happened. And if I am pregnant, then we have a joyous occasion to look forward to, not a depressing one," Leane added with a warm smile as she looked up at him, wiping the tears from her cheeks.
"LEANE!" Joanna and Jenny called in unison from opposite ends of the hall. Running to the couple, Jenny inquired, quite out of breath from having run around the school looking for them, "Is it true? Is that why you were so pale and upset about what happened after the assembly?" "Is what true.." Leane asked hesitantly as she looked at Jenny. "You being pregnant, with Matt's baby. It's not.. is it?" Joanna inquired softly, equally out of breath. "I-I don't know..." Leane paled white as a ghost as she buried her face into Matt's chest, seeking comfort as she questioned hesitantly, "How did this get out? We never said a word.. I won't find out for sure until next week.." |
"Matt!" Ben called as him and Jack approached the group. "Kurt's been spreading some rumors." He said heatedly, knowing that Matthew would catch on.
Matthew felt hsi hands ball into fists against Leane's lower back. Breaking from their embrace, Matthew stormed down the hallway in search of Kurt with no idea of where the jock might be but he only knew that he wanted to cause serious injury to said jock. |
Closing her locker, Leane fell back against it as she slid to the ground, not caring if her skirt rode up. Burying her face in her knees, Leane let the silent tears fall as she wrapped her arms around her legs, Jenny and Joanna sitting beside her and wrapping their arms around her, trying to comfort her.
Jenny sighed as she looked up at Ben, giving him a silent nod to show that she wouldn't be angry and to go help Matt. Turning back to Leane, Jenny resumed offering comforting words along with Joanna's. However, it wasn't doing much good for Leane stood quickly and thew open her locker. Taking her keys and purse, Leane ran towards the school doors, not able to handle the looks and the talk she would receive in her classes after lunch; not to mention she couldn't handle what Gena would do. Running as fast as she could to her car, Leane got inside and simply sat there, curled up in the front seat as she sat there and cried, not trusting herself to drive yet. Jenny and Joanna sighed as they remained where they were, knowing Leane wouldn't wan them around right now, knowing that Matt or Josh would probably be the only ones that could get her to stop crying and go back to school tomorrow. |
Matt, Ben, and Jack stalked through the halls of the school, searching for Kurt though none of them knew that Gena had already found him and had him cowarding in a corner at the moment.
~~~ "Do you have any idea how rude it is to talk about people behind their back?" Gena hissed to Kurt as she moved fluidly towards him. "Especially things that aren't true!" She said, stamping her foot on his. "What happens behind closed doors is none of your business." She said before landing a slap against his cheek. |
Grabbing her by her hair and turning her so that her back was to him, Kurt pinned her arms as he let his hands wander freely, "What, are you jealous doll face? I heard the word right from Matt and Leane's mouths in the hallway. I guarantee Matt will be here any moment ready to fight on account of what I've told. Their secret is not a secret any longer, and I very much think Matthew should have been more careful in where he stuck his body. Think Leane will keep the baby? Or do you think she'll kill it?" Kurt inquired in her hear before nibbling it and leaving drunk, passionate kisses upon her neck, murmuring Leane's name with each kiss and nibble.

"Get off of me!" Gena yelled as she tried to squirm out from under Kurt just as Jack, Ben, and Matt entered the hallway.
"You-" Jack started though he didn't get the time to finish as he launched himself at Kurt, tackling the jock to the floor and landing punches at every inch of Kurt he could find. Matt and Ben hurried over to Gena, put their arms around her as she shook with disgust and anger. |
Fighting back in his drunken stupor, Kurt managed to land a few punches on Jack's jaw and abdomen as he slurred not able to tell the boys apart from all the whiskey he had drank, "What can I say? Your girlfriend Leane is a whore; a pregnant whore. You've completely damned her and ruined her. You've ripped her family, her status, and her social standing from her with your uncontrollable desire for sex.
"Do you realize the damage you have caused?! She'll never be accepted now that you've gotten her pregnant! She'll be ruined in this school and it will be all your fault!" The last three words of his speech were short and accompanied with a punch for each. |
"You drunken moron!" Jack hissed, pushing away Kurt and rubbing his jaw.
"Jack..." Gena said, moving to his side as he stood and putting her arms around his waist. "Let's go. Please." She whispered as Jack put his arms around her small waist. "If you ever touch Gena again I'll kill you." Jack threatened, his voice low before turning and leaving the hallway with Gena, leaving behind Ben and a now pale-white Matt. "I've ruined her life." Matthew said, his knees feeling weak from the realization. "I've ruined her life." He repeated as Ben ushered him out of the hallway and towards the parking lot. "You haven't ruined anything." Ben assured him. "Its going to be alright, man. Its alright." He repeated though Matthew seemed to have detached from everything around him as he murmured 'Its all my fault.' over and over again under his breath. |
Kurt rubbed the blood from his nose and face before standing and stumbling down the hallway towards gym, hoping to get some back up from his teammates and go after Sommers and his stupid friends, still thinking it was Sommers he just got into a fight with over Leane, not Jack over Gena.
- Leane sighed as she wiped her eyes and looked up, seeing Matt and Ben through her windshield. Getting out of her car, Leane ran over to Matt and wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest, Leane held him close as she whispered, "Are you okay? You didn't fight, did you? Matt.. Everyone knows... Everything thinks it's true.. What are we to do until next Tuesday? What am I going to do about my party on Sunday? Everyone will surely tell their families, who will in turn report to my parents.. What are we to do? Should we tell them it's a possibility but is uncertain? Warn them before it's too late?" |
Ben stepped away from the couple as Matthew flung his arms around Leane, cradling her to him as he buried his face in his hair. "I didn't fight." He promised as he took small breaths of Leane's familiar lavender shampoo smell, letting it calm him. "We need to tell your parents. Both of our parents actually." He sighed. "I'm so sorry, Leane. I'm sorry I'm ruining your life." He rambled, his voice edging on that of panic. "I'm sorry for everything that's going to happen. I'm so sorry. And please, Leane." He murmured into her ear as Ben returned back to the school in hopes of finding Jack and Gena. "If you value my sanity, please do not blame yourself. And sense I know you will anyways." Matthew said, putting his forehead against her's and a finger to her lips, "Just please." He begged, his voice only a little above a whisper.

Leane nodded as she kissed his finger before taking his hand in hers and standing on her toes to place a long, hard, passionate kiss upon his lips. "I love you so much Matt, you're not ruining my life I promise you. And as for what is to come? As long as you don't leave me and stay with me, I'll be just fine," Leane promise as she placed another kiss upon his lips, "I love you so so much," Leane murmured against his lips. Resting her forehead against his, Leane sighed as she inquired hesitantly in a whisper, "Who should we tell first?"

"My parents will probably be easier." Matthew sighed as he ran his fingers over the length of her jaw, taking comfort in the fact that she was not blaming herself. He would've preferred that she take out her anger on him as that was where it belonged but he knew she wouldn't dream of letting him know how badly he'd ruined her life.

Leane nodded as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips, "Your parents it is. I'll follow you, okay? Do you think your parents would mind if I stayed at your house tonight? I dare not stay home with Josh.." Leane whispered as she rested her forehead upon his shoulder, "I'm such a coward.."

"You're not a coward." Matthew said as he rubbed her back tenderly. "Though I think that I should be more afraid of Josh then you should." He said with a small smile. "Do you want to leave now?" He asked. "I don't want to force you to go back inside if you're not ready. we can go the diner or the movies." He offered. "What ever you want to do."
~~~ Ben traveled through the halls, searching for Jack and Gena though he only saw Jenny's small frame. Coming up behind her with a sly smile, Ben locked his arms around her waist and put hsi chin on her shoulder. "Guess who?" He asked. |
"Let us go some place quiet with hardly any people, if any at all.. I don't want to be around people right now," Leane whispered as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips. "How about we grab food from the diner to go and then head down to the lake and relax by the water? I know it's cold, but the cold air will do me some good, if you're not opposed?"
- "Hmm, I'm going to guess the most gorgeous guy in the entire high school who also just happens to be the greatest guy in Baltimore." Smiling, Jenny leaned back into Ben's frame, her hand reaching up to caress his cheek as she placed a tender kiss upon the opposite cheek. "Looks like I was right," Jenny giggled happily as she turned to face him, still leaning into his frame as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips. "You alright?" |
"That sounds good, love." Matthew said, offering a small smile as he led her to his car and opened the passenger's door for her before getting into the driver's seat.
~~~ "I'm alright." Ben assured her. "And you?" He asked, his arms looping around her waist as he brought her against him. |
Leane offered a small smile in return as she buckled her seat belt and scooted as close to Matt as she could with the confines of the seat-belt. resting her head upon his shoulder and linking their fingers together, Leane sighed as she rested their hands upon his thigh, "I love you."
- "I'm alright, just worried about Lee.. I can't believe she could be pregnant.. This school is going to tear into her.. We have to protect her from it," Jenny said with a saddened sigh, "It's just not fair to her... She's been through so much..." |
"I love you too." Matthew said as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze, rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand. Pulling out of the driveway, Matthew drove towards the small diner.
~~~ "She's going to be okay. She has all of us." Ben said with a warm smile before giving Jenny's lips a long kiss. "Even Gena will stand up for her when the school turns on her. I know Leane thinks Gena is cold hearted but Gena knows her rights from wrongs." He said. "She wouldn't let anyone hurt Matt or Leane." |
"Think the cook would kill me if I ordered everything on the menu?" Leane inquired with a small laugh.
- Jenny smiled as she eagerly returned his kiss, "I think we've all underestimated Gena's loyalties. I do feel for Leane, however. Gena has been atrocious towards her.. I just hope she doesn't make things worse," Jenny admitted softly as she rested her forehead against his, "But let us worry about that later. Skip fifth period and the rest of lunch with me?" |
"I think you could get away with it." Matthew laughed as he kissed her forehead before pulling into the diner's parking lot.
~~~ "Jenny? Skipping class?" Ben asked. "Tsk, tsk." He laughed as he put an arm around her waist and led her through the halls. |
Slipping from the car after the engine was off, Leane hurried around to Matt's side and waited for him, shivering a bit as she stood by the hood of the car, the wind blowing the few strands of hair around her face that were loose from her bun.
- Jenny laughed as she leaned against him, "Only with you, Ben, only with you. Where shall we go? There's the courtyard or the library as far as I know. Unless you plan on taking me to a closet," Jenny teased as she placed a light kiss upon his cheek. |
"Do you want my sweat shirt?" Matthew offered as he got out of the car and put hsi sweatshirt around Leane.
~~~ "A closet?" Ben asked, mocking shock. "Why that is just horrible." He laughed as he brought her towards the attic where Leane and Matt hadd been only a few hours before. "I have class." He smiled as he opened the door and turned on the light, leading Jenny slowly inside. |
Slipping it on, Leane smiled as she wrapped her arms around his waist, "Thanks, I needed that. So what are you craving? Since I doubt we'll be going to the restaurant tonight, and especially after what happened, this will be my treat."
- Jenny laughed as she teased softly, "Oh yes, an attic is much more classy." Falling into step with him, Jenny placed a light kiss upon his cheek before looking around the attic, equally impressed with it as Leane had been. "It looks like you guys practically live in here. How often do you come?" Jenny inquired as she led him over to a beanbag and settled into it. |
"A burger and fries is calling my name." Matthew smiled. "But you don't have to pay." He said as he gave Leane a tender kiss before leading her inside.
~~~ "During assemblies." Ben explained. "Its the best spot we've found here. Though it was kind of hard to sneak the beanbags up here." He said as he settled in a beanbag next to Jenny's and put an arm around her shoulders. |
Resting her head against his shoulder, Leane laughed softly, "Burger and fries it is, but I am paying for everything." Walking over to the diner counter, Leane repeated their orders to the waitress, specifying that she did indeed want one of each dinner on the menu as well as one of each desert that didn't consist of ice-cream, ordering a sprite for her drink.
"And you sir? What will you have for your drink?" the waitress asked, still in disbelief that the young girl wanted so much food and wondering what she was to do with it. - Wrapping her arms around his waist, Jenny laughed softly as she looked up at him, "I can imagine. To think I've never even been up here.. I thought it was nothing but a bunch of cobwebs and rats, not to mention broken desks and the like," Jenny added with a laugh. "Definitely not what I expected, but I like it," Jenny added as she slid onto Ben's lap and placed a tender kiss upon his lips. |
