At first Dr. Robbins was a bit startled, but then he laughed, "Oh, I take showers on my own time, and typically not in my boxers!" he laughed again. He threw the soapy cloth at Dae's chest in an effort to get him to stop, but he laughed again. This was... fun. Dr. Robbins had never had much fun in his life time. He was always so busy preparing for his career and executing it and everything focused on that. He had never had too much of a social life or anything. This was new to him, and he liked it a bit more than he was willing to admit.
And the fact it was with Dae was sort of special to the doctor as well. He had been worried Dae resented him for what he had done to him, especially after what he had said to him... But it seemed as though Dae was getting passed that, which made Robbins actually happy, because he had been growing more fond of Dae as time passed. Nothing made Dr. Robbins more happy than when Dae woke up after the procedure was over, despite how long it took. The longer time had gone on, the more Dr. Robbins had worried, but when he woke up, the doctor had had the more overwhelming joy in him. And he was happy to see that Dae was still in fact the old Dae. "Just becareful not to get Sky in the face either." he said. The little dragon wasn't breathing fire yet, but he was sure Dae wouldn't want to do anything to hurt his chances either. |
"What? Oh..." Still grinning he dropped the hose. He relaxed a bit the strain he was under had him all bunched up but the rubbing he was getting made him feel better. It was as if something had passed between them. Like an apology or an acceptance. things had happened, and now it was done and over with. What was needed now was that link that united them.
He almost felt like it was a family between them. Surely looking after sky was going to be a job as well as the attention he would need as he figured himself out again in his new body. He sighed as the Doctor got a little itchy spot he couldn't reach. he did a little something in the back of his throat.... A kind of trill like a soft whistle mixed with a vats purring. If was a very soothing noise. When Sky hear it, he began to trill to and rubbed up against his legs while wrapping his tail around the doctors foot. |
Dr. Robbins smiled a bit and then grabbed the cloth off of Dae, "Yup. You get to look after the little guy too." he smiled, "Hope you have some paternal instinct in you." He took the shower hose from Dae and rinsed the cloth off. He was right: things were back to the way they were before, only, maybe, he hoped, they were better. Something made it seem that way.
He was putting it back on the shelf when he heard an odd noise come from Dae, and then also from Sky. The next thing he knew, Sky was on his leg, "What the heck?" he asked. |
He stopped, the noise ceasing. Dae gave the doctor a sulky kind of look and sky looked up at both of them curiously.
"you stopped." He pouted and layed his arms in his lap. |
Dr. Robbins was confused. He wasn't sure what he had started, or what he had started it with, "I beg your pardon? Stopped what?" he asked, looking at Dae.
|
"rubbing my back...there was a spot down there that felt really nice...I think just above my tail?" He blushed and looked down at his feet shyly... sky bounced around then tried to get into Dae's lap again. He meeped when he couldn't do it on his own and looked at the two expectantly.
|
Dr. Robbins blushed slightly and smiled, "Oh... I didn't realize I was doing it... You could actually feel it? I thought with you newly discovered armor you'd be less sensitive to touch..." he laughed a little. He looked down at Sky and lifted him into his arms, "Want him, Dae?" he smiled.
|
"Sure I'll take him." He reached for him and helped settle the little guy into his lap. Sky cooed and made a few tight circles before settling into his lap. He nose shoved into Dae's side.
Dae laughed at him, and stroked his neck and back ridge. He tried scratching the spot where the doctor had rubbed and that had felt good. Sky perked up a little and began doing that strange purr.... "Apparently we both like it." He smiled back up at the doctor. |
Dr. Robbins smiled and looked away, "So, I think it's time to get out of here now, don't you?" he said, putting a hand on the faucet to turn of the water when Dae okay'ed it. "We have been here awhile, and I think you're pretty much all clean by now." he said, smiling again, "Plus, I don't think all the water vapor is good for Sky."
|
"Yeah, I think I'm less smelly... I am aren't I? all I can smell is the Hyacinthia flowers of the soap...." he gave a careful sniff and made a face. "Ugh, too powerful for me... I think I smell like a girl..... Lets just put ribbons in my hair while were at it. Maybe my sense of smell is stronger?" He looked to the Doctor curiously.
"Oh...Can I have some clothes please?" He asked remembering the state he was in. "Or is it more hospital gowns?" |
Dr. Robbins laughed, "You do not smell like a girl. I can hardly smell it, so it's definately your sense of smell having been heightened, but if you would like, I do have ribbons I can put in your hair." he smiled.
"Well, for now, it's more hospital gowns. Just for a while until we have something that will fit you properly... Not sure what it will be though, have to warn you." He slide the curtain over and there was a new hospital gown sitting on the counter, accompanied by a pair of shorts that looked like they would fit Dae. "Looks like Dr. Syklel found you some shorts for now." he smiled, walking out in his boxers and grabbing them for Dae. He tossed them in his lap, then asked, "Do you need help getting them on?" |
when he mentioned ribbons his eyes grew wide. "You wouldn't! I mean mutate me all you want, but ribbons! You horrifying man!" He playfully accused him.
"Hmmm yeah, I guess they don't have a line of fashion for dragon people...." he looked himself over, eyeing the new changes and wandering what and what souldn't work anymore. the shorts that were tossed to him, hit him in the face as he wasn't looking and then fell into his lap. he looked at them and lifted them. "I wonder if my tail will get in the way...." He started to pull a clawed foot threw while also trying not to rip it...It was difficult to say the least and he almost fell out of the wheelchair. "Gah...this is crazy... I can't even put on a pair of shorts." He glared at the offending trousers with intense feeling. |
Dr. Robbins laughed, "I was joking. You can't have the ribbons." he smiled a little, and it slowly faded as he thought.
"No, they don't, but while you were out, I had someone take your measurements and they're making something. I don't know what she's designing, though, she was very excited about working with your skin color and other tones you have about you now. She gets very into her work, but she's good." he smiled again, letting the previous thoughts begin to fade from his mind. "Would you like help?" he asked, seeing Dae struggling. "I'll be gentle." he joked with a smile. The doctors was still in his own underwear, but he wasn't as shy about it as he thought he should be. |
"Someone's designing me clothes?" He asked incredulously.
He grunted, sighed then gave out a cute whimper and nodded his head, one foot stuck with his hand in the left leg hole. "I don't want to rip it....And anything you do is bound to be more gentle than what I can do right now.... Although I suppose you like it hard?" He asked teasing right back. |
Dr. Robbins smiled a little at Dae's disbelief. "Yes. Specially designed so you won't rip them or anything." he laughed.
He laughed again at Dae's predicament and moved to help him as soon as Dae had nodded. He pulled Dae's arm out of the leg and helped get the shorts on, "You're going to need to stand up. You can lean on me if you need to." Then came Dae's inquiry about how the doctor 'liked it'. And he half laughed, but was more embarrassed about being asked such a thing that he would have liked to admit, "I-I don't really know." he laughed again, nervously. |
He slowly got up, trying to help as much as he could. he put one arm around the doctor's shoulder and the other was against the chair, He lifted one leg and then the other as they managed the article of clothing over his extremities.
"What? Really? you don't know? Haven't you ever had a lover or anything before?" He asked a bit shocked at the news. "I mean your rather nice to look on the eyes ya know, surely someone has....you know....." he lifted the middle of his eyebrows suggestively. |
Dr. Robbins smiled a little, "I had a wife." he said shortly, then paused before adding, "It was a long time ago." He helped Dae sit back in the chair and smiled a little. He realized Dae's curiousity and answered is question more directly, "Yes, I have... you know'ed before, but it was never really about the sex."
|
"Huh, an intellectual thing?" He asked still curious. they had finally gotten him into his shorts and he felt a bit better. The back end was pushed down a little to make room for his tail, but it was better than nothing. Sky was napping in his wheel chair, one leg kicking occasionally. instead of sitting down Dae tried using the chair as a sort of walker. he felt a bit better and wanted to try standing for a bit.
((Hmm we need some action or something.... what about the doctor's assistant that doesn't like Dae? He could do something... If you have an idea go ahead with it...)) |
((I'll think of something. He can do it when everyone goes to bed.))
Dr. Robbins half laughed again, "That too, but there was a physical relationship too. We had daughter. But like I said, that was a long time ago, metaphorically speaking, that is." He looked at Dae leaning on the back of the wheel chair and asked, "Do you want to start physical therapy today or tomorrow? I mean, it is pretty late in the day..." |
"Hmmm better leave it for tomorrow I guess. I think the shower was enough for my first day." He chuckled and smiled at the Doctor.
"that's too bad your not still together. You have a very nice smile. What about your Daughter? I mean if you don't mind me asking..." he trailed off trying not to get too embarrassed by asking something personal. ((Oh no! What will he do to the exotically sexy boy? LOL Force him to eat his vegetables! and eat his favorite hamburger in front of him! Oh noes! )) |
He smiled, grabbing his own clothes and began to put his pants back on. "That could be a good idea. We wouldn't want to push you too far." he smiled again, looking at Dae.
Dr. Robbin's smile faded as he put his shirt on and began to rebutton it, "She's with my wife..." he trailed off, then softer he added, "in heaven." He knew Dae would be able to hear it, but the point of his voice softening on its own wasn't for it not to be audible. He just couldn't bring himself to say it any louder than a whisper. It happened a few years ago, only a few, and the wound, despite the time, was still a bit fresh. |
He did indeed catch the softer words. He instantly regretted asking. Worry creased his brow and he frowned in sadness...
"I'm so sorry....I....sorry." he looked down trying to figure out how to lift the atmosphere. fortunately he didn't have to. Sky gave a loud hiccup. It was adorable bringing a smile to his face. He scratched the little guy's belly in answer. "Why do you make the most adorable noises ever Sky?" he chuckled at him. While giving into the cute little dragon, Dae gave out a loud yawn. He may have been out for a while, but he still felt very tired. |
Dr. Robbins smiled a little, "Don't be. You weren't the one who killed them." he said.
He smiled a little at Sky and Dae. Dr. Robbins slid the labcoat on, "Alright, let's get you into bed so you can get some rest." He waved a hand for Dae to follow him back out into the lab where Dae had been unconscious, "It might be best for you to sleep in here for awhile, so a scientist can monitor you. For your safety, you understand... Alright?" He waited for Dae to answer him, and then he could go see who was on tonight without an actual task to do. Whomever was free could watch Dae in shifts. It was the logical thing to do, and it would help make sure Dae recovered properly and that all was well. |
Dae followed hi out stil using the chair as a stroller to lean on.
"Yeah, that sounds fine. Safety sounds good, who know if I will still turn into a terrifying monster....Raaaarrr!" he joked, trying to belittle any nervousness he might have. Bringing up the need to monitor him still, reminded him that what they did to him was anything but normal procedure. He was able to climb in to the bed himself. He beamed proudly at the Doctor, then gave him a mischievous grin. "You gonna tuck me in? Maybe You should sing for me." he chuckled. |
The doctor watched Dae crawl into bed, as Sky hopped up next to him. He laughed a little, "I could do both those things, if you wanted... Right after I check the list of whose working." he smiled, taking his PDA out and looking through it. As he did, his eyebrows furrowed tightly together, "It looks like Carrebo is the only one without anything to do tonight... He... He'll be the one watching you."
