He shrugged and said, "I don't know. I just know where things are not how to make them. It is not much further but dangerous trap ahead. It has snake blades that bite with poison and kill everything that try to pass. I know where what stones to step on so we should be safe. Do not touch walls either. Many thing make snake blades go off. I will go first and show you where to step then Vexous follow."

Vexous yawned as he began to move across the floor, she followed discretely in his foot steps, being extremely careful not to be an inch off. "well i'm glad it's not much farther after all the sun will be rising soon, and i'd like to be in the comfort of my own bed by then."
She frowned "snake blades?" she questioned, unsure of what he was talking about she shrugged. "i guess i don't really need to know if i do with right." continuing to step in his foot steps, she wondered how long they would have to dance around like this for. being behind Dhaymar was making it harder for her to stay in control, slightly turning her head she tried not to think about anything especially blood, because right know he was smelling extremely appetizing |
He finally made it across and made his way to the invisible wall. He pointed to the shiny ball in the middle of the room and said, "There is the shiny ball. I kept my part of the bargain so now you will have to feed me good food." He wanted more of the treats she had given him earlier. He still didn't know why she wanted to look at some shiny ball she couldn't even get to but hey it just meant free food for him. He scratched his left ear absently wondering how long they would have to look at the shiny ball.

Vexous smiled and ran the rest of the way to the ball, he was indeed right the forces that was separating her from the orb was indeed a keep of wall. "it's just like the one that used to be around the whole cave." her eyes wide in joy.
"yes D you can have all the food in the world, once i have that orb." she'd decided to give him a nick name, if he didn't like it he'd say so, but it really didn't bother her. "looks like this will be the last time i shift for the night, i wont be able to change back until i've feed, but that shouldn't be hard." a grin spread across her face. the shift into her shadow form was flawless and easy, it was always the shift back that drained her, funny how that works. she shrugged away the thought and she placed her two hands onto the wall, it seemed to spark a little under her fingers, she applied pressure and slowly forced herself through the barrier, she knew what it would do to her, but she needed that orb. she greeted her teeth as it felt like every bone in her body was being crushed by an unseen force, she let out a hiss as her head and the rest of her body passed through, blood leaked out from her nose mouth and ears, she didn't care she reached for the orb and held it in her hands. "finally, it's time." |
He cocked his head when she called him D. Did she forget his name? "My name Dhaymar not Dee. Did you forget when you get so happy to see shiny ball?" he asked he wondering if the ball had made her head go soft.
He shivered when she changed again not liking her shadow form. He didn't like it either when she talked about feeding. His eyes went wide when she passed through the invisible wall and said, "You are like Master and know many tricks. You better not trick me out of food." As a side thought he added, "Be careful there are most likely traps inside but I do not know them since I can not go past invisible wall." |
Vexous looked around, he was probably right, "best to use it here and leave it i guess then."
the orb it's self looked like a small puzzle ball, it could be twisted and turned much like a puzzle. she narrowed her eyes on it trying to figure out how to open it. "hmmmm, don't worry Dhaymar" she used his really name since he didn't seem to know what a nick name was. "you'll still get your food, i promised did i not?" she called back to him from inside the enclosed area. sliding a few small pieces of the ord around it began to grow hot. "is it meant o do that?" she wondered out loud as she covered to shift pieces here and there, they were being rearranged to form an image of a name, 'Parthenopaeus' "it's Greek, but that's all i know about it." she frowned but soon hissed as the orb grew even hotter she dropped it as stream began to rise from it. "Ouch, it's hot!" the orb seemed to fill the whole room with steam, shutting one eye it was getting hard to breathe and to see, she gasped. "show yourself already!" she yelled. The steam began to clear revealing a very tall lean man, he was wearing a tench coat and dressed in black leather. "you had awakened me.........for what purpose?" the man eyed her off, looking down at her he glared at her and in turn glared at Dhaymar, "your both his creations, how did you wake me?" his glaze soon turned to confusion. Vexous began to explain, "we have come for revenge, Master is long dead but his son still lives, the last of the Parthenopaeus's" she explained, "we come seeking your help, condemn him to a life of death! to what he deserves!" she swallowed hard and waited for his answer. "Dead you say?" he's eyes seemed to glimmer. "that would make us free!?" she smiled in the most creepiest way possible. "it is done!" he replied before looking at the two again, "anything else?" ((i hope that sounds okay, sounded better in my head XD)) |
Dhaymar watched with concern as the room filled with what he thought was smoke. If Vexous died now he wouldn't get his food. He watched and listened carefully as a person formed. Dhaymar was a little perplexed and said simply, "I do not know Master's son so I can not say I wish him dead. I do not know if he is good or evil." He had not liked that Vexous had spoken for him. He did not want to be responsible for the death of someone he did not know. When the being asked if they wished anything else he said, "I want us to live so Vexous can keep her part of the bargain and give me food." This made the most sense to him considering they, mainly Vexous, may not make it out alive.

The man raised his eyebrow at the creature, "Vexous?" he pointed to the elf being "you?"
Vexous nodded with a bit of a giggle, "he doesn't get out much." she told the man. "very well." that was the last thing he said before waving his hand and removing the barrier. "the traps will not go off for about 10 minutes." he told them as he sat himself down on the small pylon that help the orb. "What of you?" vexous asked slightly turning away. "i will remain here always, until i can free myself from the bloody orb." he told her pointing to a small chain that linked him to the orb. "Thanks Zeus!" she called out as she began to run back the way they had came. "what good it is being the king of all gods if your stuck in this bloody thing." she mumbled kicking the orb which bounced back to him because of the chain. Vexous turned her head towards Dhaymar, "well you want that food or not come on." she smiled at him before running a little faster. Acheron closed his eyes, it felt good to rest, Alexia had run off after the two and he should have swan he'd seem Josephine and Vincent on the other side of the trap. He was becoming so sleepy. i'll just sleep until Vexous gets back. he thought as he drifted off. His body grew stiff and cold |
Dhaymar not really caring about their conversation about the orb stood there waiting. Once Vexous took off he followed quickly not wanting to lose her since she still had to give him the promised food. As they ran he said, "You will give food. No tricks from your pack. I do not trust them."

Vexous laughed from in front of him. "believe me i dont trust many of them myself, many of them are rather new and need....training i guess you could say."
they'd made it back to the group walking slowly towards Vincent she smiled at him, "it is done" in turn she looked at Josephine and nodded. "i hope you dont mind but i kinda went ahead and did it without you." she continued with a small laugh. "and it's now time to head home." she announced continuing to walk slowly towards the entrance of the cave. Walking past Acheron's body she kicked it was watched as it fell over life less. "not even a heart beat remains." turning her back on the old butler she made her way outside. "onwards we go, to get food and cookies for Dhaymar." she winked at him with a smile, "no tricks." |
Seeing Acheron's lifeless body and Vexous emerge from the cave with Dhaymar, it was obvious what she had succeeded in doing. "So that's it then." He said taking one last look at the body of the son's magician before following Vexous back in the direction of the castle.

Dhaymar stayed a ways from the group. He barely knew Vexous and he didn't know them at all. His tail swished nervous and agitated at so many people. It was hard to be watchful of all of them. Vexous had abilities and he wasn't sure if these people did as well. He wanted his food though so he followed but he kept all his senses on alert.

"i think it would be best if he walked the rest of the way, i dont know how Dhaymar would feel riding a dragon." when Vexous spoke she looked towards Dhaymar with a kind smile,
"besides the night air will do us good for a time." Vexous was still in her shadow form and feared changing back the strain on her body would be to much if she could get down to the garden under the castle, the slaves held there could satisfy her. he eyes wondered the night sky as he form seemed to shimmer in the night air, the first rays of sunlight were peering there way over the horizon in the distance. a couple of hours maybe until the sun id fully up. she told her self, or at least she hoped it'd be that long. she walked side by side with Vincent but didn't look at him, could he tell i'll weak, dont be silly i can still walk cant i? |
Ride on a dragon?! There was no way Dhaymar was going any where other than walking. He could trust his own two feet. As they walked he thought about how it was warmer in the cave. His clothes, if they could be called, were little more than rags about to fall off in complete ruin. He figured he might be able to talk Vexous out of some clothes while he got his food. He kept making visual land markers so he would know how to get back to his cave once he had his loot. He asked Vexous, "How far is your cave? Will it take long to get there?" He was hungry and wanted to eat.

Vincent noticed Vexous' steps seemed to slightly falter here and there as they made their way through the forest and land leading back to the castle. "You're growing weaker aren't you?" He mentally sent to only her. He would've wrapped an arm around her waist to support her but considering she was in her other form he was sure he would slip through her quite easily. He himself was still growing hungrier and Dhaymar's question was slightly irritating him in his current state. Not to mention his smell was back and quite intoxicating, he wondered "Does he know how good he smells?"

Vexous lightly lent on Vincent and allowed him to help her move faster. His arm on her wait she couldn't help but smile. "it cant be helped, i cant even change back." she confessed to him.
Looking over at Dhaymer as he spoke she pointed into the distance. "it's not far see the towers in the distance, that's part of it, i'd say he'll be there in about 10 to 15 minutes give or take, when we get there i'll show you to the kitchen and get a few of our cooks to cook you what ever you would like." looking around at the small group she wondered just how everyone would react to Acheron being dead. she couldn't help but smile at the thought, "all that's left is that girl, she's the only one who knows how to seal me, unless we can erase her memory, i really dont wanna get on Darious bad side, i like the ghost after all." she said aloud with a small laugh. she looked up towards Vincent as he spoke to her in her mind again. "he does know, and he hates that fact about himself." her own grip tightened on him. "i know more then anyone just hoe desirable it is." she send back |
Vincent's jaw tightened as he restrained himself from turning around and trying to take a bite out of the strange male. "The girl... She'll be no problem I'm sure." He said simply. "He's going to need to do something about it if he'll be staying near me." He thought back to her.

Dhaymar glanced at the man who was now with Vexous. He didn't trust these people but the food that Vexous had given him was better than most of what he had eaten his whole life. Being dhampir he sometimes craved blood but he had always done well at controlling that. As he kept going he said, "Soon we will be there, that is good. No cooks Vexous give to me. I do not trust others of your pack."

Vincent was not fazed by Dhaymar's comment of not trusting anyone that she knew. He was fine with this and could care less to be quite honest. Looking to the large castle that was growing larger at their approach he began to think of the female and the spirit. Oh how he would love to sink his teeth into the female's soft fleshy throat. He was sure the blood would be clean since she was just a human who seemed to be more of a do-gooder in this world.

kimmy gulped down the last bit in her mouth little crumbs still on her mouth "yumm but why do we have to leave the food i want to stay here i want to stay and eat some more i havnt eaten in so long and it tastes soooooooo good please please lets stay and eat some more see kitty wants to stay and eat more to." kimmy took another two cookies from the pile on her lap and put it in her mouth and let it stay in their she was just drooling on it she kinda looked like a sad puppy with the cookie in her mouth and her eyes pointed up at kayla.

Vexous slipped out of Vincent's arms as the front gates came into view, she pretty much ran up to them and opened then for her guests, revealing the huge castle that was hidden behind the tall walls. "we have arrived." she told them as she made her way to the front doors.
They seemed to knew she was coming because as she reached them they opened for her. Letting out a small giggle she waited for the others to enter after her. "Dhaymar if you dont mind i'd like to fit you with some nicer clothes, of cause your more then welcome to take as much as you like, it's really not that hard to get clothing from the village." she smiled and led the way to the kitchen for him. "and here we have the place that we serve the food, take a seat and i'll start loading the table with all kinds of food for you." she moved towards the fridge and the cupboards and began pulling out packets of potato chips, a whole leg of ham, cheese, breed, more chocolate biscuits and a large chocolate cake. "i do hope this will keep you going until i return."she moved to the door that was to the right of the room. "if you need me, just call okay, but i'm sure no one with bother you." she smiled at him one last time before opening the door and heading down to the garden under the castle. |
Dhaymar proceeded with caution. This cave was much better than his and much warmer too. Even though he was worried it seemed his curiosity took over as his eyes went from one thing to another. When she mentioned clothes he had to hid a grin since he did not even have to trick them out of her. He said, "Good, I will take clothes. These ones stink and will not work much longer." As he walked into the kitchen and watched her his eyes grew wider and wider. So much food! He simple said, while looking at the food, "Vexous good to keep promise." With that he almost didn't even notice her leave. He started in on the food like a ravenous beast.
A short time later Dhaymar was sitting in the corner of the kitchen with a cookie in his hand. It had not taken him long to clear the food Vexous had put out for him. He felt slightly sick and didn't know why. Was the food poisoned in some way? He nibbled on the cookie that had started out tasting good but now didn't seem so appetizing. He didn't feel like moving at all and his stomach was now hurting. He was upset now, she must have done tricks to him and made the food make him sick. ((lol first time he ever got to eat so much XP )) |
kimmy noticed vexous before she was noticed so she hid behind a fridge and looked at the group "ohhh im in trouble." she whispered to herself wishing she was back in her hinding spot until she saw dhaymar and noticed his ears she had seen ears like that once before and the person attached to the ears was nice but alittle strange. she started to walk to him she wanted to touch his ears and nothing was going to stop her "funny kitty." she hobbled over to dhaymar and looked up at him he was tall even sitting down "hi." she noticed he had a cookie and she grabed the one from her pocket that she was going to save and looked at him and then back down to the cookie then to him then to the cookie then she held out the cookie out to him "cookie."

Dhaymar spotted the little person coming toward him and got into the best defensive position he could with feeling sick. His ears went flat and he extended his claws saying, "I have a treat. . .I want no more of your poison food." He had dropped his own cookie in the process of getting in a defensive position. Was this someone Vexous sent to kill him off? Maybe she had picked a cute little person thinking it would trick Dhaymar into eating more food. He gave a spat and hit the 'cookie' thing out of the girls hand. He would not be fooled by this ploy.
