Having now seen Christopher Pine in action, I'm looking forward to giving Star Trek a try.

For those who've watched it, what were your opinions (without any spoilers, please)?

Out of curiousity, what did you see Chris Pine in? I'm going to guess Princess Diaries 2... because that's really the most well known thing he was in before star trek.

My random sig should make it abundantly clear what I think of the new movie. :heart:

Still, he managed to pull off switching between lucky and unlucky fairly well, showing good acting ability, and he has a natural charm to him that'd be perfect for Kirk. Hence, I am now enthused.

I'll be looking up and watching his other movies soon, probably. I'm not even sure I watched the FIRST Princess Diaries~ I'll get back to you on that :P

Oh I forgot about "Just My Luck". I don't pay attention to Lohan though. ^^;

He's actually appearing in a play in Los Angles and has gotten amazing reviews for his performance. The man can act and he definitely bring that to Trek.

Alan Rickman's attractiveness
Seth Green's attractiveness
Christopher Pine's attractiveness

And not one person in these discussions has been able to bring forth a nude picture of ANY of them!

I loved the movie. I'm a huge Star Trek fan though, so I may have been a little biased. :sweat:

One thing that I absolutely loved about it was the humor. I was not expecting to have laughed so much--the entire movie is quirky and a whole lot of fun. And of course, there are some great action scenes and exciting space battles. :3

Sounds awesome.

And haha, I grew up eating down Star Trek- I never got into the fanboy scene, but that's just because I don't have any fanboy attitudes.. I've watched most of all the serieses, except Enterprise and the original ST, both of which I've only watched a relatively small percentage of.

I really should rewatch all of the Star Trek serieses now..mmm...

The closest I can get you for Chris Pine is a shot from the movie where he is only in his underwear. or y'know.. lots of pictures where he is just generally being pretty. Lots...

Yes the humor! The.. third time I went to see it.. I spent so much of the movie curled up in the chair giggling into my hands.

Alan Rickman's attractiveness, I was part of that. God he's so sexy.

NOVEMBER 17th!!! I am stupidly excited and hope there are lots of bloopers. Because apparently the captain's chair was not bolted to the ground.. so he fell off it a lot. And I wanna see that.

Uh...work on getting nude pictures up, engaging in kinky nursing roleplays, or shattering my hopes and dreams?

In either path, I think I'm not going to like how it turns out..

*high fives* I saw it 4 times too! The third time I went alone whith I NEVER DO because I feel awkward. But it was totally worth it.

I've seen it twice already.
I went in there expecting "okay it's going to be completely off, blah, blah, blah. I'm mostly here to see Simon Pegg anyway."
Shocked I was, Abrams did a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of what it's all about.
Plus, Simon Pegg was in there.

Simon Pegg was so good in this movie! I totally didn't do my research before going, so I didn't expect to see him. :)
