Yukina growled as the crazy scientist who had created her threw her into a holding cell. They strapped the security collar around her neck.. Then setting up the security system they left her alone. Yukina looked our the bars at the dark room as the scientist left the room. She couldn't remember anything but being a shape shifter .. she knew she came from the outside world but didn't know where from. She grounded , her head hurting as she laid down on the cold tile floor.

Kevin was annoyed; tired and feeling nearly dead, but still vastly annoyed. He hated all these tests and experiments; he wanted it all to end. He knew he had to get out, he just couldn't think of a way... all he could think was that if James was there, they'd find a way together... but that wasn't possible anymore.
He was going to find a way out. One way or another, he was going to find a way. He wanted freedom, and he'd be damned if anything was going to hold him back. |
Yukina blinked as if feeling someone else in the room. "h-hello?",she called out going over to the bars."h-hello i-is someone there?",she asked hopefully.

Kevin had been leaning against a cold, stone wall. He wasn't even sure where he was anymore. His eyes were closed and he was breathing heavily, then he heard a voice. It was the voice of a female, which surprised him. He didn't know they had experimented on women as well, "Hello? Who are you?" he called back. Maybe she wasn't an experiment; maybe she was a doctor or something. He silently hoped it wasn't one coming back to give him any more shots or put him through any more tests.

Yukina smiled brightly hearing a reaply. So she wasnt alone."uh m-my names Yukina! where am i?",she asked , hopeing who ever she was hearing knew. "i .. cant remember anything but being brout here and and getting tested on and ingected with needels",she said in a scarde tone.

Kevin sighed, a bit upset they brought another here to subject to this hell, "You have every right to be afraid, Yukina. No one knows where we actually are. We're all test subjects here. The tests and needles are going to become part of everyday life for you now... You'll get used to them eventually." he sighed again. 'Poor girl... she sounds really scared.' he thought to himself. He knew he wasn't helping, but in this situtation, what could you say to make anyone feel better about it? "How old are you, Yukina?" he asked, "Do you know how long ago they brought you here?" He was far too exhausted to move. He would have liked to see who he was talking to, but his body wouldn't allow it.

"i think im 18",she said softly."and ,i think i was brought here, about a week ago",she said with a sigh, as she rested her head against the bars."i dont feel good",she siad in a quiter tone. Then blinked hearing the door open,and saw a man come over to her cell."n-no",she said scared and backed away as he came in and grabbing her he yanked her out and dragged her out of the room.

He listened to her speak before he replied, "If you think you are, you probably are. They tend to wipe your memory, but there's always a few core facts you just don't forget... What's wrong?" he asked. Then he listend to the doors, and he knew what was coming, especially when he heard her protesting, "Hey!" he yelled after them, "Let her go!"

The men simpley icnored him and dragged her out,shutting the door,but forgot to turn on the security in the room again.
Yukina cired out in pain as they slamed her onto a table and strapped her to it. She cringed feeling a needel getting stuck into her arm she looked seeing it was conected to an IV bag that had a wierd blue liquid in.She then felt aleepy and she soon lost conchousness. |
Kevin heard everything, and despite his protests, they took her anyway. Not that he expected them to listen to him, but he put the effort forth... but he couldn't stop there. He dragged himself from the floor and over to the bars that held him in the room. Typically, the bars would be giving off a sound to tell the security system was on, and that there was no way to escape. He carefully touched the bars with his index finger, and recieved no shock, but the doors locked automatically as soon as they closed. He tried concentrating his energy to shapeshift, but it proved futile.
There was nothing he could do to help Yukina... Not yet. |
About an hour later, the men brought Yukina back into the room.Opening the cell door they pushed her in and then looked over at Kevin."your up again tommorow",one said in a clod tone. Then left the room again.
Yukina sighed as she sat down on the floor and watched the men leave. why were they doing this?what would they get outof this? she thought sadly. |
"No duh!" he yelled back. He had training every day, what would make tomorrow any different? He didn't mind either, he liked training, and the tests they did on him to check the effects over time, they didn't bother him so much either. Sometimes the experiments were what annoyed him. Like the ones they did today that tired him out completely. Those kinds of tests annoyed him more than anything. The only thing he couldn't stand was when he went through what Yukina was going through now- though, it was vastly different from Yukina's experience. Kevin was born here, born to go through the experiments. His DNA was altered in the womb. He imagine Yukina was only going through it now, which would be a lot more difficult, or so Kevin thought it would.
He imagined Yukina was back in the next room by then, in her cell. He could hear her breathing. "What was it this time?" he asked, wondering if she even knew what was going on, "Blue liquid IV, making you drink the aweful liquid, or physical tests?" |
Yukina blinked and looked towards his cell. "A blue liquid IV , i dont know what they did ,but as soon as it started every thing went black" , hse said softly. "next thing I knew i was being woken up and dragged back hear....do you know what the Blue liquid IV stuff is?" ,she asked hopefully.

"Yeah, I have a pretty good idea." he began, lying back on the floor, "Part of its purpose is to knock you out while they run tests and do a bunch of other stuff, and the other part is injecting you with a syrum that will alter your DNA's stability. They're trying to turn you into a shapeshifter. They're probably going to succeed, considering they wouldn't have brought you here unless you were capable of undergoing the changes. Though, even if they do turn you into a shapeshifter..." he trailed off, and when he spoke again, his voice was quieter, "there's a fifty-fifty chance your boy won't be able to conform to the instability and... won't survive." He sighed, putting his arm over his eyes as he lie there, "I was really hoping they weren't going to do this to you, but they wouldn't have brought you here for anything else... Typically they change humans into shapeshifters when they're babies because they're more resilient and have more of a chance of survival, even though it's just a slight one. The fact you're an adult and they're doing this... they're pushing it."

Yukina felt a chill go threw her. "s-so .. i can die" , she sai dsoftly. Then sighed. "how can they bso crule?"

"You could die from pneumonia in two days even if you're not here. Of couse you can die." he said, flatly. "We're experiements and they're heartless SOBs looking to experiement on us." he sighed, "I can't wait until the day I can get out of here. I will get out too. You should be thinking the same thing. Finding a way to escape." he said in a whisper so they wouldn't hear. Not that they ever listened to the prisioners after they were done experiementing.

Yukina looked at him. "well the security alarms are off and i did seee thier code for the door ..." ,she said looking athim. "if i give it to you ... you'll be able to get out" ,she said with a small smile.

"You can't reach the keypad from inside the cells." he answered, "They weren't completely stupid when they built this place. Even if the security system's off, you can't unlock it without the code, and can't reach the pad from inside." he sighed, "Believe me, I tried before they changed the code. Besides, I couldn't leave you here alone anyhow."

Yukina blinked. "sure you can ...i take it youve been here for a long time .. . so you need to be freed" ,she said with a smile. "im sure ied be fine" , she said looking towards the door and sit her lip. there had to something they were missing. "theres more then one pad" ,she said stareing at a wall. "hmm" she muttered and then started to look around her cell.

"Been here since birth, and no, I couldn't leave you behind. I'm just not like that." he answered, sitting up and holding himself up by leaning back on one arm and resting the other on his knee. "There probably is..." he said, thoughtfully, looking bast the bars.

Yukina thought a moment then spotted a hidden panel beside the door. She smiled. "how do you uh, shapeshift?",she asked hopefully.

"I'm not sure you can do it yet, but you might be able to... You have to focus on the animal you want to become, picture yourself transforming into it, and then when you open your eyes, you're that animal." he answered, "Why? You're not going to try, are you? "

Yukina smiled. "of course im gonna try" ,she said softly. "the worst thing someone can do is not try" ,she said then closeing her eyes she started to piture a mouse.

"Think really hard." he advised, "It's going to feel really weird, and might even hurt a little the first few times." After a short pause, he continued, "It kind of tingles at first, then you'll feel really warm, just try not to panic. That can really mess you up..."
